The leopard had been traveling for some time. Some how him and his brother had gotten seperated in a storm. Course Caius was not worried about Augustus. Water was what he was worried about right now and shade.
Some how he had stumbled in to a desert. The leopard was a gladiator but even his skills hadn't prepared him for such harsh conditions. He'd never seen the desert in his life, only heard rumors about a sandy land where no water could be found and plant grew.
The leopard couldn't give up now though. So onward he marched threw the piping hot sands. Oh what he wouldnt give his fur coat for some water right now.
Doodle:
The locas grew to such large sizes in the desert, that she couldnt help but play with one. With a laugh, she lept at the large bug, the sands shifting under her paws caused her to fall into the sand, she laughed and laid there for a moment.
She watched as the locas leapt three more times before she was on her paws again. Azu had lived in many different parts of the land, and whilist she preferred the cool humidity of the jungle to the sweltering heat of the desert, she was more used to it. She lept once more, not looking this time.

The leopard was just about done when something rammed into him. His eyes closed and he felt his body roll in the hot sands. Caius coughed when the rolling stopped but remained laying. There was no sense in getting up. He was gonna have to accept he was about to die.
The leopard kept his eyes closed.
Doodle:
She let out a groan as her body slammed into another, she opened one eyes before letting out a laugh. "Well.." She mused as she rolled off of the leopard under her. "Thats definately a way to greet someone.." She tickled her tail tuff under his chin. "Wakie wakie.."

The leopard groaned. It took Caius a moment to realize just WHO Was behind the tickles. Caius shot up fast as he could. His eyes wide.
"Azu!" His jaw hung open. Of all the places to run into a lioness. Not that he was upset, quiet the oppasite.
Doodle:
She let out a laugh at his reaction, she then merely smiled. "Whats a boy like you doing out here?" she asked with a smile, before she lifted a paw to brush off some of the sand on his shoulder.
"Pesky sand, gets everywhere.." She said with a shake of her head. "Becareful not to get any in your eyes thought.."

The male tried to laugh but only could weeze. He needed water bad. In the excitement Cauis seemed to forget he was dying of thirst.
"I - I need wa-water." He weezed.
Doodle:
"Alright.." She nodded, rising to her paws, she could see the need for the cool liquids in his face. "Follow me Cauis.." She nudged his shoulder lightly.
She knew how to get water in the desert, but she had to find a tree first. She followed the scents she'd left behind from the tree she'd slept under the night before.

The leopard followed after the female, panting behind her. His eyes were half lidded and the need for water growing.
Truthfully he had a few more hours of energy to go off of before he collapsed from lack of hydration. But it was painful none the less.
The night he had wandered in to the desert it had been very cool. Now the sun rising that had drastically changed. The desert had been a horrid idea on his part.
Doodle:
She found the tree she'd slept under, she nudged him down into a sitting position. "Rest." She said, her tone seemed to leave little room for argument.
She began to dig at the sand close to the roots of the tree, she dug deep enough that the sand began to show signs of wetness.

Caius did not argue when she told him to rest. He hunched over under the tree and just panted half watching her from the side of his eye.
"You're soooo pretty..." He said and fell over onto his side. "So pretty. Like water.... Azuuu" The leopard closed his eyes panting.
Doodle:
A brow arched as she looked over at him, she kept digging shaking her head until her paw came up wet, she looked down as a pool of water began to grow in the wet sand.
"Come drink silly boy." She said as she stood up and motioned into the deep hole.

The leopard looked up with one eye. This was pathetic. He had never felt so weak in his life. "Thanks.." He managed and started his way to the watering hole.
The water was so cool and sweat. He had never enjoyed water so much in his life. The effects of the revival were almost imidate as he felt him self cool down.
"How'd you know that trick?" The leopard turned his head to look over at Azu.
Doodle:
"I was left out here as a cub, and after a day in the heat..I swore I was seeing things...when I watched a bird, dig into the sand and sit down. When she stood up, and shook out her feathers, water went everywhere...After she flew away..I raced over and filled my belly." She shrugged. "I got sick after that though, no much water can be a very bad thing." She said watching him.

The leopard's surprise shown on his face but he didnt say the words he was thinking ' You were left out here?'. He knew plenty of roguelanders had troubled stories. Caius him self had been brought with a silver spoon in his maw so to speak. Part of a well to do family in a pride. Sure the family was messed up but they still were family. Atia loved him and his siblings.
"Thats . . Awful..." Caius looked down at this paws. Tail twitching.
"I don't under stand why a mother could leave her cub in an awful place like this," It was embarrassing. A gladiator couldn't survive out here but a cub could. He was glad she survived though and was here to help.
Doodle:
"No, not my mother.." She said with a simple shrug of her shoulders once more. She knew many had sad stories to tell hence, she felt her story had no more cause to be told than another really.
"I hadn't been with her in weeks before he left me here." She mused with a flick of her tail, she flicked the sand here and there for a moment. "Mother had traded me to him, for what little was left of his kill." She went on, as if there was nothing wrong with what had happened.

The leopard shook his head but he understood. This was the way of life some times. Heck , he was sure Atia would trade him for food if she was starving enough.
"Im glad you are here now." He smiled and dipped his head down to take a few more laps of water. "Desert life ... even for a gladiator... rough.."
Doodle:
"Its rough for even the creatures born to it." She said, flicking her ear. She came out to the desert to think most the time, it was good for thinking.
"What are you doing out here anyways?" she asked arching a brow as she looked over at him.

The leopard took one last lap of water before sitting up and situating him self in a comfitable sitting potition.
"Honestly.. I never seen a desert.. I didnt really know what I was walking into. Only heard about them from travelers." He looked up, " I usually stayed behind in the pride. These last several moons have been eye opening for me." He stretched and wracked his claws against the bark of the tree.
