Heritage: Polish (father's side and the strongest), Greek (mother's side) with long watered down hints of French, Russian and other European influences.
Powers: Astral Projection
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 148lbs
Hair Color: Very dark brown, easily mistaken for black.
Hair Length: Medium, reaches the back of his neck and frames his face in the front.
Hair Style: Cropped and a bit messy, it seems to have a desire to be styled how it wants and it wants to be parted to the right. Always.
Eye Color: Dark and mossy green.
Skin Tone: Fair; even in the Summer he seems to hide as much of his skin as he can from the sun so he rarely tans or burns. Recently he's been out and about more, doing physical labor, so he seems to have actually acquired a slight bronzing.
Physical Build: Thin and lanky with a long torso and limbs. Due to Summer jobs, he's been able to build up some muscle tone but it isn't obvious in his appearance--he still looks like a twig.
Distinguishing Marks: None
Clothing: A black long sleeved shirt with a high neck, he doesn't tuck it into his jeans which are still riddled with holes at the knees and the backs of the bottoms. His jacket is a dark green zip and button up.
Accessories: A thin black thread that looks like it could snap tied around his neck and silver hoop earrings.
Personality: Daniel seems to like the middle ground and keeps himself very calm in the presence of others, acting fairly neutral. Very polite with just about everyone, regardless of how they treat him, it could be construed that Daniel is a bit lacking in the metaphorical backbone. Though he tries to act something like a peace keeper, he's not afraid to fight back should the situation call for it; he hopes it never will. Raised in affluence, Daniel is often self conscious about how people think of him--afraid of being considered yuppy scum--so he tends to not show off this trait and usually dresses very casually, aside from his shoes which are obviously expensive, very Italian and always polished. He's easily embarrassed and humbled when people speak to him informally, especially females, so he has some difficulty being able to carry on lengthy conversations until he gets to know the person well enough; most conversations with him will be restricted to small talk for a while.
Habits: Can't seem to break the habit of calling people "Mister" or "Miss(es)" even when they tell him not to. It's very hard for Danny to stay casual with people unless he's one on one with them.
Hobbies: For some reason, he enjoys polishing his shoes. His mother finds this odd, since this is the maid's job but his father thinks it's going to build Danny some character.

Astral Projection
Usually confused or misdiagnosed as "Out of Body Experiences", it is the ability to form an "astral body" or a metaphysical representation of a person's consciousness that is separate from their physical body, causing the two to exist at the same time. When one performs Astral Projection, it is usually done to enter the mind of another--a practice every psychic is able to perform--but those who are more in tune with the power are able to do the same thing within the physical plane, whether it be to travel long distances (usually done in a meditative state and in an area where the body can't be harmed) or for pretending to be dead as the physical body often drops unconscious to the ground as the two separate, unless one performing the Projection is one of great study.

Young Daniel's power cropped up for him a bit later then most, when he was nine. At the time, he and his parents were vacationing along the East Coast and had holed themselves up into a hotel room. Unfamiliar in all way, as well as Daniel's very first excursion anywhere, it seemed the excitement and stress of it all pushed his brain to the limit and he separated from himself. For a short while. It wasn't very strong at first. His parents, the very first time it happened, merely thought he had collapsed, as his projected self wasn't even strong enough to be visible and returned to him within seconds, plus a light head rush. Confused, he began trying to figure out what exactly had happened, as he had seen his own body, as well as his mother and father's.
Researching in the family library taught him about Out of Body Experiences, but he thought it was something more then that. Those were usually reserved for when some one was nearing death, and he certainly hadn't been. It didn't happen again for a few months, but around the time he was stressing for end of the year tests where he would be bumped up into the sixth grade the next year, it started happening again. He would be asleep, and then the next thing he knew he was on his feet and walking about the house. His mother had actually walked into the kitchen one night and saw his Projected form attempting to get a glass of milk with next to no results.
They were fearful, his parents. His father thought it was some sort of affliction that could be fixed, and his mother thought that doctors could help. Daniel was sent in for many tests, but physically they could never find anything wrong with him, and this only served to frighten his parents more. Years passed with these same occurrences becoming more frequent, and the 'ghost' that they thought his projection was as it got stronger was finally able to be recognized as their young son. It was around this time, as he neared his twelfth birthday, that they received the two pamphlets in the mail.
One for Whispering Rock, and one for Murmuring Pines.
His father enjoyed the wording on the first, thinking it would build Daniel some character--and muscle, as the boy was practically a twig, but his mother managed to convince him that Murmuring Pines, the 'calmer' of the two, would probably be a better choice. To her, it seemed to make sense, as it all started whenever Daniel was stressed out, and figured he just needed a quiet, enjoyable outing to make himself feel better.
