The setting: A newly formed island, bare of any thing but a few trees, in the middle of a vast ocean.
The weather: Extremely windy, almost to the point of being a hurricane, with clouds covering a large portion of the sky. Where there is sun however, it is blindingly bright.
Lerato leaned against one of the few trees having arrived via spirit portal around an hour or so ago. "I truly thought he would have been here already. I surely hope he didn't get lost." He mumbled, the wind whipping his hair back and forth. The sheer power of the elements at work made him smile. Such raw power, uncontained by any thing by the earth itself. "He better thank me for giving him so much to work with..." He laughed, settling, once again, into a groove against a tree while he waited.

Zaine shunpo'd onto the Isle and looked about, flashing a wide grin to his Captain as he walked over and stood by the tree, seemingly unfazed by the turmoil surrounding him. "I love the weather, the winds are practically singing to us, can you hear it?" he asked with a quirked grin.

"I'd hardly call this ruckus singing. There no melody, no chorus. It hardly even has a rhythm, and that's only caused by wind rolling over some unsuspecting leaves." He scoffed, rolling his eyes as he looked to his Vice. "I guess I have to admit though, the sight of all this is magnificent. A spectacle the likes of which can hardly be matched by painting or photograph." He commented as he made a full circle, gazing upon the scenery like an awe-struck art student. "Now then," he continued once he had made a full circle, "I suppose I'd better let you have the first move. After all, I don't want this fight to be over before it even began. It just wouldn't be fair." He chuckled, walking more than an adequate distance away from his zanpukato. Standing erect, his back foot pointing to his left in a defensive judo stance, he motioned for Zaine to make his approach. "Come on. Don't hold back or you won't stand a chance. Amongst the Captains, I dare say I'm one of the more powerful, and guaranteed one of the most ruthless."

Zaine snorted, "You know nothing of music then, since acts such as this were the symphonies and lullabies of creation long before any of us were here to enjoy. All music comes from the Mother and Father, you should know this my friend." he said with a philisophical air about him.
"As for your comment about you being amoung the most powerful of Captains, perhaps a truer title would be vain." he said with a dry tone, cracking a smile at his Captain before shunpoing behind him and launching a swift, powerful blow to the area right below the left ribcage.

"I know much of music. I know it's beginnings, and how it has evolved and while this ... racket... might be the fundamentals of the beginnings, it in itself is not music." He replied, replaying the same argument in his head. How many times had they had this same conversation? Looking over at him before he attacked he laughed. "Don't get me wrong. I know there is much to learn in life, and I readily admit that I am weaker then some. However, when it comes to others, I am hard to beat." He snorted and spun around the tree with ease, watching as Zaine's foot flew through where he was and approached the trunk of the tree he had been leaning on just seconds prior. "Zaine, if I may make a suggestion, don't come at me intending to hit me with hand to hand. In your current state you are too slow to land a blow on me. If you want to though, I'll talk to Mikhail about you learning shunko. Who knows, he might even accept you." He laughed, waiting for another attack to come. "Your a good student Zaine. A good student indeed. You'll make a fine captain one of these days. Now, hit me like you mean it. Think of this as a fight to the death!" He called over the howling of the wind.

Shaking his head Zaine sighed, "Fine then Taicho, if this is your wish...." he said and with blurring speed unsheathed his zanpakuto, a Nodatchi, the hilt of which depicted a howling wolf head at the end. The hilt itself was rather unremarkable, pitch black in coloration, however it possessed gold and silver thread twined about it starting at the end of the wolf's head and ending at the guardless piece between hilt and blade. "I believe its your move my friend."

[You forgot to state whether or not you hit and broke the tree lol]
Lerato looked at his vice, smiling in approval. "I have to say, you are getting quite quick at your draw aren't you?" He commented. Anyone who was even remotely apt in sensing spiritual pressure would have been able to sense a spike as Lerato poured more and more of the rainbow-esque reiatsu into his left hand. After folding his fingers into a fist he pointed his index and pinkie into the stereotypical 'rocker' sign and raised them. "Hado #54 Haien." He called, voice cutting through the cacophony that the wind made. A deep purple streak formed between the two up-turned fingers, concentrating till it was almost the appearance of a laser at which point he released the kido and shot it forth at Zaine. As soon as the kido left his finger tips it spread out to a ten yard arch that destroyed everything in its path. "Are you going to call upon your shikai or am I going to have to kill you?"

Zaine leapt above the Hado, grinning wickedly as his Captain asked him to release, "Very well Taicho, as you wish." holding the blade out Zaine closed his eyes and murrmurred, "Bare your fangs and howl, Za Shotou Ookami." His body burst into light which cleared suddenly revealing the Vice Captain holding two large blades, one obsidian in color that depicted an ivory wolf running across an open field, the detail was such that the pictures seemed to move as Zaine did, the blade he carried in his left hand was pure white, with a similar design of a wolf, this one running across a lake view area, the water appeared to shimmer and move even when the blade was at rest. "Happy now?" he asked dryly.
