User Image Louisa generally kept to herself at school, she would busy herself in her locker to avoid talking to people and then would head straight to class. Today though she was spending a little longer walking to class then normal, she was sorting out some papers and dropped a few.

"Stupid things" She mumbled as she picked all the papers up. Why did she have so much work to do? She let out a soft sigh and crouched on the floor trying to get as many of the papers as she could in to her bag. She hated carrying things around, it was so annoying!

To fit the papers in her bag it seemed that she had to empty it first, she needed to visit her locker again. There was no reason for her to be carrying this much stuff around. This was, well too much! She always kept her camera with her, so that wouldn't go in the locker but her photography books could do and some of the folders she had in her bag she didn't even have lessons for today! Oh how silly.

She stood up, her arms full of folders and started to head back towards her locker where she could happily dump all this stuff before heading to class.

A brunette walked down the hall, looking around with an adorably confused expression on her face. For some reason, she didn’t see anyone who wasn’t already rushing to class, and didn’t want to hold them back for such a trivial problem. It only made her feel more helpless over time. Oh dear, I’m gonna be late that class, and I have no idea where I am going. Serves me well for not asking earlier.
Her whole being just screamed “hi I’m new”.

Suddenly, a sight relieved Alessa from almost all her worry. First, lockers down the hall. So that’s where they are. Secondly, someone who wasn’t running and might be about her age (though it’s hard to judge from behind).
She walked quickly behind her, with fast and light steps. “Excuse me, what year are you in? Could you help me with something?”, asked the brunette with a smile. Once she reached her level, however, she looked down to see a pile of folders, rather heavy-looking, even for this time of the year. Instinctively, she immediately asked something else completely different: “Do you need help with that?”

Louisa turned quite suddenly very nearly dropping all her folders again.

"Erm hey, same year as you I guess, I am 16.. and you look bout the same age." She smiled and maneuvered her folders so they were easier to hold.

"So what do you want help with?" She spoke nicely and was polite. Louisa had huge issues with meeting people but it didn't mean she wasn't polite.

"Oh yes could you hold these? Just while I open my locker? I really shouldn't carry so much around. Oh I am Louisa by the way!" She smiled at the girl as she spoke, always trying to seem cheerful.

A sigh of relief immediately followed Louisa’s answer. “Oh greaaat… yes, we’re in the same year, then, and probably in the same class, too. Well, I’m new here”, explained Alessa calmly, but with a bit of embarrassment, “And I don’t have the slightest idea where is the classroom I’m supposed to head to.”

She nodded. “Of course”, she said softly, who had first moved her arm to shake hands with the other student, before realizing it was a bit silly in that situation. She raised her other arm to take the folds, pretending it had been her attention all along. “And I’m Alessa. Nice to meet you, Louisa!”

Louisa passed some of her folders over and opened her locker before taking the folders back and putting them in.

"It's nice to meet you Alessa, whats your first lesson?" She spoke while putting everything in the locker and trying to make it all fit. Right there done. She smiled and closed her locker, her bag and arms now a lot lighter then they were.

"I can show you around if you want!" She smiled, though it was fair to say Louisa wasn't the most popular girl in school and so would probably not really be able to introduce her to many people but she could at least show her round the school.

Alessa’s dark eyes drifted above her glasses, looking at nothing in particular, to think briefly. It took her a few seconds to attempt an answer: “I think I have geography now. I’ve reread my schedule enough, I’m pretty sure my very first class is geography.” She looked back at the folders that disappeared one by on in the place they belonged.
“That would be awesome, actually! Meadowview is nothing like my old school. We didn’t have uniforms, either.” The brunette didn’t seem to mind that fact, surprisingly: the warm colors of the uniform wasn’t as depressing as the typical greys or dull shades she’d seen everywhere else.

Louisa smiled as she listened to the other girl.

"Same class as I then. This way!" Louisa started walking in what could have seemed a random direction but she knew where she was going.

"You had no uniform? I have always worn school uniform for as long as I can remember." It was true, she had never not worn school uniform and was rather glad about that too. She worried so much about her appearance to others that she was sure something would go wrong if they didn't have uniform.

Following Louisa like a lost sheep relied entirely on its shepherd, Alessa expressed her concerns again, though more lightly now that she had a guide and her more urgent problem was solved. “Is the geography teacher… you know… cool? Is there any teacher I should be warned about in particular?” Every school had at least one of these, and the girl with glasses had bad memories of Miss Pempton. Though she had humiliated several students in front of the whole class, herself was completely unable to point which countries exactly were part of the USSR, and other aberrations.
Which brought Alessa to the other point…
“… I guess I wasn’t exactly in the best high school”, admitted the girl with a slight embarrassed blush. “Now I think about it, my school’s standards weren’t very high in general, that must explain the lack of uniform. But those are cool.” She took her skirt’s border in her hand. “Fashion victims and the lowly populace – like me, she added mischievously – all the same, in warm and happy shades of orange! It could get bad where I come from.”
She released her skirt, and gave an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry, just tell me if I talk too much. It’s just that you’re one of the first student I’m talking to on my first day!” Absorbed by her conversation, she hadn’t looked where they were going, and probably could not find her way back later.

Louisa smiled as she listened to the girl talk. She liked listening to people ramble it meant she didn't have to do much talking, which was good because she tended to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. It was one reason she kept to herself, oh and apparently she tried to hard to get people to like her. Life really wasn't all that easy for her, though that was entirely her fault.

"It's fine, talk all you want. The teachers here are okay, none are particularly mean as long as you keep out of their way." Louisa shrugged, she had no issues with teachers, sure some people did but she was so use to just getting on with her work and keeping her head down that well... she had no issues with school.

Still, with the short answer, Alessa felt like she was being much too talkative in comparison. That’d certainly get better if she learnt to know her classmates; for the time being, she was little more than a stranger. Starting anew had such drawbacks, after all. She slowed down her flow of words and focused on a topic at a time. “So… what kind of clubs is there here? What club are you in? I like sci-fi and action movies, personally.”
The brown-eyed girl too was trying maybe a bit too hard too to make friends with everyone.

Clubs? Louisa hadn't a clue what clubs there were she never payed any attention to them and rarely saw a reason to go and hang out with people, she generally went home as soon as she could and hated hanging about.

"Erm... to be honest I don't know. I'm not really in to clubs to be honest..." She hoped that didn't make her seem odd or anything. Logic would mean she should join the photography club but she so hated being told what to take photos of and what she shouldn't. She also could not stand people pretending that their photos were the best things in the world, when they weren't. So she generally kept well away from clubs.

For a short instant, Alessa showed a hint of disappointment. “Oh?” She however forgot about it very quickly. “I’ll just look around myself, then. Do you-“Her tripping was accompanied by a sudden interruption in her speech. Fortunately, she didn’t fall down, and just leant on the wall to look down.
And she kneeled down with a faint, embarrassed laugh. “Sorry, I’ll be done in an instant, let me tie these shoelaces.”

Louisa did her best not to laugh when Alessa tripped though she couldn't help smiling. It was rather funny after all! She held herself in check though and apart from the smile on her face no one would have known she had found it amusing.

"We should probably hurry though. Class will be soon and well, we need to find you a seat!" Though Louisa would happily have her sit near her, she might not want to and so it was always good to get to class early at least that way Louisa could show her the spare desks and not have to allow her to get all embarrassed walking in to a class full of people already.

Alessa giggled back, more frankly. “That kind of thing always happens to me! You should have been there when I dropped a dictionary on my foot… in retrospect, it was painful but funny, ‘cause it opened right on the definition for “foot”. Thanks, but I knew what it was already!”
Once her shoelaces were properly tied again, she stood up to see, a few meters away, growing groups of students rushing into two classrooms. “Which one is it? Or are we not there yet?” she asked.

Louisa couldn't help but chuckle at the story wondering whether it was true or not. Either way it was amusing.

"Shame, anyway class is over here." She smiled and headed towards a door which she opened and entered, holding the door for Alessa. She had no issues walking in, class hadn't started and the room was empty. This is how Louisa liked it, empty class rooms!

She walked over to her desk and dumped her stuff on it.

"This desk next to me is free or the one right over there at the back in the corner." She pointed to the back of the class. Louisa loved her desk, it was right next to the window and it meant she could easily day dream without anyone really realising.
