A sleep of the lost and confused was all she had. Her mind had been a blank for so long she couldn't even hold on to the simplest of thoughts. Who was she was always the main question, who and why and what, but the moment she grasped these thoughts they would slip away like a whisper on a breeze.
And so, she simply slept, it was easier to close her eyes to the world and just let her memories get lost in the endless darkened caverns. She had lain in these caverns for such a long time, of course, time passed as slowly in the dark as it did every where else so time crawled by between fitful sleeping and those deep troubled thoughts that a memory might come forth and enlighten her life.
She had a deep, bubbly feeling that maybe she had a life, maybe she had something beyond this shadow of a cave, but she couldn't be sure for every time she considered it, her mind would feel heavy and hazy and the thought would flit off in to the shadows only to be seen on those occasions when her mind allowed for those old memories to seep in through the cracks.
Dreams would come thick and fast in the darkness, dreams that came in simple flashes of colours, blues, whites, greys, colours she knew some how, somehow they linked to the memories that were always just out of reach.
Sleep gave her little peace because of the dreams, but in the darkness, all she could do, was sleep.

Xiu Xiu was on the look out for someone she had lost long ago; the wind told her stories of her sister Eir and her whereabouts. It was time to find her, after many years of confusion, after many years of loss, it was time. The dark Goddess slowly padded along, his ears propped up high and tail batting from side to side; she had felt pretty shity about this whole thing, knowing that it was all her doing... after-all.
She sighed, rather lost at this point. Where was she...?

"Hello? Who's there?" She whispers, her voice echoing through the shadows, she thought, she was convinced she heard a noise some where, a noise that wasn't herself.
Getting to her paws for the first time in a long time she moves towards the sound. She had heard many noises over time, but they were usually small nocturnal things, creatures that were too little to make any sense out of and simply confused her more with their skittering noises.
She felt drawn towards this new noise though, pulled to it like a paper clip to a magnet. This new noise was important, something she had to go to.

Xiu's ears twitched as a deep frown crossed her maw, her eyes shifting from side to side rather quickly. Was her mind playing games on her, or... was that... Eir? It couldn't be, her sister... she was gone, but then why did she feel drawn to this place now? Why did she feel so... pulled? Her wings rested at her side as she slowly tip-toed along.
"...Eir?"
She called out, her eyes narrowed still. The elder lioness was very confused.
"What the hell is going on?"
She swore and looked back--Only darkness.

Her name? She hadn't heard it for so long she could hardly recognise it but as it was spoken she moved in to the light, her pristine white coat glistening even in the darkness. "Thats my name isn't it?" She whispers, her voice full of confusion though her eyes danced trying to hold on to that memory that yes, she had a name and others knew her.
"Is that my name?" She asks again her ears twitching, she was worried, afraid, how had she lost her name even, but the familiar tones of one she knew were seeping in to her mind. She knew this lioness, this goddess, she knew her and her memories were slowly starting to leak in to her mind, she knew her she was certain. "Tell me, you know me? I have been lost for so long."

"Eir!"
Xiu Xiu called out once more, this time racing to where the voice was coming from, the idea of her sister being alive made her heart race with both happiness and sorrow; what had she done to Eir? What had she done...
"Eir, where are you?'
She barked again, her wolf-like-eyes wide and ears awake. She wouldn't stop until she found her sister.

The pale goddess walks towards the smokey coloured lioness, her pale beautiful eyes wide and confused. "Yes, I am here." She answers, her memories starting to fall back n to place at the mere sight of her sister.
"I know you." She whispers stepping forwards her ears perked upwards and her lips turned in a smile. "I know your name.." Another few steps brought her in to the full view of the other goddess, her swan white coat glistening in the shadows. "I know you don't I? Tell me I know you." her brow creases in confusion, she was sure this was someone she knew and the name was on the tip of her tongue. She knew and loved this lioness but she couldn't find the name to go with the face.
She knew someone, the world wasn't just darkness and shadows any more. "Tell me, who I am? I wish to be more than a name, please!"

With a frown Xiu stopped and spoke out, her tone a bit harsh and unkind. She felt worry for her sister, worry- a feeling she had not felt in a very long time.
"Eir. You are Eir, my sister, the Goddess of White Magic."
She moved forward again into the darkness.
"You need to wake up, Eir. Come back to me."
If Xiu could cry, she would be crying right now. Eir..

The white goddess flexed her wings and smiles, her perfect blue eyes focusing for the first time in a long time on something she knew. "Xiu" She whispers, moving forwards more quickly and wrapping her long slim neck around the silver grey goddess.
"Xiu, Xiu, where am I? What happened?" She blinks owlishly, a fog of confusion settling over her as she looked at her sister, pleased to see the familiar friendly face.

Xiu Xiu felt her heart burst at the sight of her sister and with a deep purr she nuzzled her and spoke out.
"You fool!"
She had made Xiu worry for SO LONG. She wanted to cry, but also wanted to beat her face in for all of the pain Xiu felt while missing her.
"You were put into a sleep spell."
She sighed.
"By me..."

The pale lioness blinks owlishly at her sister, she tilts her head, deep green eyes fixed for a long moment upon the grey lioness she knew intimately as sister, her litter mate. "How long have I been asleep Xiu? Where is Mrost?" She asks, some foggy memories swimming back in to her mind.
She wasn't mad at her sister, far from it, but she felt very confused, perhaps she had only been asleep for a few days? "I have cubs Xiuxiu." She giggles, remembering faintly the little fluffy bundles that belonged to her and the god of war. "I'm sure they will be wondering where I have gone to Xiu." She smiles grooming her sisters face for a moment an old affection that she used to perform when they were young.
"You can always find me Xiu, you know that." She smiles taking a deep calming breath of fresh air. She had to get back to her family, her new family but she knew she had at least a little time to spend with her sister. Surely she hadn't been asleep long right?
