The afternoon air was just the right temperature for a stroll through Narue meadow. Tenma didn't walk, though; she ran. She ran without an even pace, stopping and starting as things caught her interest. Whether it was a different patterned flower, a fluffy cloud, or a crawling bug, Tenma stopped and gazed at the new object in her world, losing interest as soon as it had come to her. That wasn't entirely true, though. The butterfly held her attention for quite some time. She had startled the poor bug as she crept up on it for the first time, pouncing on air as the butterfly brought itself into flight.

For what seemed like hours to Tenma, in actuality no more than twenty minutes, she had chased after that butterfly. It almost seemed to taunt her, its beautiful wings a more vibrant orange with each flap that propelled the insect away from the earth and more importantly, Tenma. Leap after leap had been used trying to pursue the butterfly, but she never got within a foot of the shimmering wings. It just wasn't fair. How could she try so hard to get something and not get it? The thought came and went, but she continued to chase after the butterfly, blue and pink eyes glimmering as she ran.
