All about the music, not being a ******** fanboy/girl of every emo band member. Not being a p***y and crying over the slightest thing. Not cutting yourself for attention and not dressing Emo. You can do all of those things, and it'll make you a poser though.

Well, emo can't really be explained.
Everyone thinks differently.
I think it's the way you act, or feel about things.
Doesn't really have to be the music you listen to, because that's just...Not cool.
Dressing isn't even half of it.
So, really. It's what you think it is.

Can you really be 'emo'? 'Emo' is a type of music, not human. I can't be a 'techno' person if I listen to 'techno' music... ??

Emery-kos Since when did cutting become associated with emo? when gay-a** sterotypers blamed all of us for doing it, even though out of all the emos I know, none of them cut, but I've seen anti-emo(or so they say) people with cuts all over there wrist,neck, ect. - but to answer his question...its all about the music.
