You have to have played Final Fantasy X
but not just play it really take note of the love between Yuna and Tidus
they fall so much in love then find out he was never "real"
or in all technicality she is not "real"
anyways in X-2 he comes back!!!!
makes you wanna cry really....

just play X then play X-2 and watch all the spheres
then it will make perfect sense

X-2 was just to clear up all the confusion about the story line of X
fill the gaps and un answered questions

I don't think X-2 really does add anything special to X. Most of the "point" seems to me to come through developing the characters, especially Yuna, but I (and a lot of other people) think that they kind of worsened her character in X-2, so it kind of backfired.

There is the actual plot, of course, though there's so little emphasis on it in the game, it almost seems like an afterthought... If you want to know how that goes, well, Wikipedia has a pretty good explanation. Of course, in the end, the most significant thing about the plot is that Tidus comes back. That's really all anybody cares about. xd

This is why I quit playing the game & watched the ending on youtube.

I'll explain it the best way i can.

Throughout Final Fantasy X Tidus and Yuna begin falling in love with each other, while in the battle to defeat Sin. A turning point in the game shows that Tidus is a "dream" of the Fayth, just like Jecht. At the end of the game, after defeating Sin, or Yu-Yevon, Tidus becomes like a ghost, meaning he was there, but he wasn't a physical person anymore. Before Tidus leaves, Yuna tells him "I love you," Tidus goes to hug her, well, the best way he could, then he jumps off of Cid's ship. At the VEERRRRY end of the game, it shows Tidus in the bottom of an ocean, in the fetal position, he stretches out, then starts swimming towards the surface.

Now read this part very carefully, i dont think too many people know of this part yet...

There was a cd being passed around in a gamers magazine months before FF X-2 came out. It connected the FF X's together pretty much.

Yuna is on Besaid Island, getting all kinds of requests of marriage from different people, and new organizations. Wakka wants her to stay, and she is confused of what to do. She believes Tidus is gone, so she is just drifting in her new world. But Rikku comes from her travels and shows Yuna a sphere that Kimari had found on Mt. Gagazet. It shows a person sounding and looking like Tidus, so this greatly confuses Yuna. Wakka wants her to stay, but Rikku encourages her to come with her. Yuna accepts Rikku's plan, and the new looks comes from Rikku, advising her to look something other than a summoner to make her new identity, which will carry on in the sequel.

Onto the second game...

Yuna is basically looking around for new spheres that relate to the one she had originally seen. The sidequests have nothing to do with the storyline, so ignore those. (Well, some of them are pointless, so just stick to the main one.) Somewhere in chapter 3 or 4, she figures out the Tidus-looking man is actually Shuyin, someone that lived in actual Zanarkand 1,000 years ago. I won't go into Shuyins story, but somewhere along the way, he believes Yuna is Lenn, Shuyins girlfriend, or lover. After Yuna realizes it is not Tidus, she turns her mission to defeating Vegnegun, which Shuyin plans to set off out of anger that Lenn is gone. After defeating Vegnegun and Shuyin, Lenn's spirit comes out of Yuna's Songtress dressphere and takes Shuyin to the Farplane to live with her together. At the end, everyone is standing in the Farplane. The Fayth that appeared to Tidus appears to her, and asks if she wishes to see "him" again (remember, the point of not saying Tidus' name is because of the name changing feature.). If you choose no, she lives on, only remembering the memories. If yes, he replies 'we will try and find him', or something like that. If you do at least good enough, you see the beginning of where FF X leaves off, but he reaches the surface and Yuna and him are back together. I don't really care about the perfect ending.... I think the good ending is the perfect.
