The waxing moon hung heavily in the night sky, surrounded by hundreds of glittering stars. This breathtaking sight was reflected in the peaceful waters of the Riann Stream, making the night seem bright with life. Sitting beside the gently gurgling stream was a petite Sim'arei, her coat an almost exact copy of the sky both above and below. Her eyes were the color of the silver moon, and she had a golden image on her right thigh. In the dark of the night, it seemed to almost glow.
As if searching for something, the female turned her gaze to the moon in the sky and stood up, walking further down the bank of the stream, moving a bit closer to the autumn forest. Her gentle paws made little prints in the soft sand, but she didn't seem to mind. She had a gentle smile on her face as she walked, as though it wasn't at all strange that she wasn't asleep at this hour.

His red eye's glinted in the soft moonlight, giving off a ominious feel, although his personality was much unlike such a feeling, which was probably why he had a loathing distaste for the soft, shade of red. In the past, his eye's had been a gorgeous shade of blue, and now they were red. His different colored paws padded along the bank of the Riann Stream. He paused, breifly, to gaze at the reflection in the water. The sky was filled with thousands of stars; the sky looking as if some five year old had taken a hand full of glitter and gently thre it into the wind, creating a illusion of sparkles to drift through the air, until finally, it would settle on the leaves of tree's and flowers. And here, out of place, was Kai himself, left gazing at the pitch black sky, only to see a gray and teal figure stare back with blood red eyes. He sighed, and continued walking, staring at the ground in front of him. If he weren't looking down, he probably would of missed the small paw prints in the sandy bank. They obviously weren't his... He looked up spotting something move in the darkness, something so well blended with the nighttime air; he had to blink twice to make sure he was seeing things right. If it weren't for catching a small look at the other's thigh, and seeing it was a very different color then the rest of it's body, he'd swear he was seeing things. But he wasn't, and in actuallity, he was staring at a another dreamer, such as himself, with a pelt as dark as the midnight sky itself. Next came the question; did he dare try to communicate with her? The autumn breeze ruffled his oddly patterened fur... He followed.

The petite female continued her leisurely stroll to the edge of the forest, seemingly unaware of anything out of the ordinary. She stopped just where the trees began to thicken, forming the outer wall of the woods, and began to sift through a small pile of flame-colored leaves, being careful to keep the moonlight in her view. When the pile was cleared, it became clear that a tiny green shoot was bravely trying its best to grow, despite the season. The starry female smiled warmly at the little plant, then turned on heel to head back into the open meadow, as though satisfied by what she'd seen.
She turned around and immediately spotted the silver and teal Sim'arei before her. She let out a gasp of surprise, but recovered quickly. She smiled pleasantly and spoke softly, as though to not break the quiet of the night. She had a soft, gentle voice, one that could easily be missed if no one was listening hard enough, much like the sound of rain drops in water. "Good evening. I hope I didn't trouble you, sir. Am I in your way?" She then took a step to the side to let him pass if he wished.

Kai jumped when she did, as he was not trying to surprise the female purposly... His slowly stumbled backwards, still recovering; he wasn't the best to recover from sudden shock. Red eyes met shards of silver as the female spoke softly,
"N-Not at all..." He stuttered slightly, his fur having been fluffed out, now starting to lay flat again. He regained some of his composure,
"You didn't trouble me at all..." He started, "Actually, I was just heading this way and I happened to er, bump into you..." His red eyes gleamed as he glanced around, easily catching the moonlight, "Might I ask for a name?" He questioned, trying to sound polite.

The midnight blue female smiled joyfully at the red-eyed male and said, with a little bow, "I'm called Juuki now, sir. It's a pleasure to meet you." She was glad she hadn't caused any trouble for him after all. And it was quite a nice happenstance to meet another, regardless of the time, she believed. And, in her past experience, no bad person had ever stuttered.

Kai blinked at the fancy little gesture, ears flicking, teal pelt swishing in the midnight breeze.
"It's very nice too... Meet you, Juuki." A smile graced his face, such a expression he hadn't felt in a long while. "They call me Kai now." he added, coming to the realization that he hadn't spoken a word of his name.
"May I inquire the reason you're out so late?" he questioned, voice slightly calmed, "I haven't come across another at such an hour in a long while."

Juuki smiled before replying, "Hello, Sir Kai." She then blushed lightly and showed him the tiny green sprout behind her, trying bravely to grow despite the chill of the season. She looked the plant over warmly and explained, "I planted an acorn here a few weeks ago and I've been trying to watch over its progress. I only come at night though, because I don't want to unintentionally block the little one's sun." She may not have a green thumb, but Juuki knew that plants needed sunlight to grow. She wouldn't dare stunt the sprout by blocking its sun. That would be terrible!
