He isn't too mysterious to me, but Axel does love his secrets.

Well alot of people say he's Riku's nobody (even though his name isn't Kirux or something) because in the group of three, he's the "Riku" figure. Also alot of people say he's Reno's nobody (although Reno is from final fantasy lol) because of the hair and "make-up". Lastly (lol) There's like a random Turk named Lea if I remember (Saix called Axel, Lea in 358/2 days so... yeah razz ) so he could even be a Turk lol. (btw a Turk is Shinra's men from Final Fantasy surprised )

He makes you figure out shet for yerself basically.
I feel really bad for him though.

It you look at things from his point of view, Roxas and Xion can be little jerks! XD;;
Roxas leaves the Organization leaving Axel by himself basically, and then Xion decides to go also...and it's like... WTH. xD
He was just looking out for their best interest.
Though, I really do get where Roxas and Xion are coming from too.
Axel just doesn't understand. XP

Ok as Nomura said hmself, Axel was his spoof of Reno from FF. Notice not only the look and attitude, but maybe just maybe. . . THE VOICE ACTOR????? yes axel and Reno are voiced by the same man. Also, his name is lea because Reno's favorite drink was Lea (there is no Turk named Lea) Nomura stated that he wanted to mix up the two universes even more than just adding the exact character. He wanted to see how Reno would react in that type of world.

Having a secret life is kind of Axel's thing. Even in Kingdom Hearts II, he had somewhat of a secret life. But that's probably why so many ppl like him, he's mysterious. And if you look at it in a way, he does that so he can protect his friends
