Ah yes. The lovely acne filled teenage years. I'm sure you all remember those days. Well, this is more of a girl question, but you guys are free to help too. I used to use make-up or cover-up on my face to hide some of my worse zits. I have read and heard, however, that its bad for you skin. So, I was wondering if there is any type of cover-up that would actually not harm your skin. Any kind of natural s**t like that?

I guess I'll stop. Yeah it's a new discovery. They've been finding out tons of stuff in the nutrition department lately. Trans fats (anything with "partally hydoginated" or "hydroginated" in the ingrediants list) are extremely bad for you. They cause acne, heart problems, cancer, liver problems, and all sorts of s**t! gonk

It isn't so much as it being bad for you skin. At least, alone it isn't. If you don't wash your face throughly before you go to bed, it can cause more pore blockage. Remember to keep your face clean at night and if you aren't going anywhere- don't wear make up. I find that if I use moisterizor on my face before I go to bed and before I put my make up on- it helps a lot.
Foundation and cover-up isn't that bad for your skin. In fact, it has a lot of positives as well. It can help protect your face from sunburn and in the winter from wind-burn. (When the wind blows strong enough to dry out your face and causes it to peel. Or when it looks like someone slapped you accross the face because you've been in the wind all day.)
I was always told to drink lots of water to help hydrate the skin. There are a ton of products, that if used properly, help get rid of zits and blemishes. I remember using something from Mary Kay when I was younger and it cleared my face up pretty good.
Anyway it's best to use an OIL FREE Foundation if your face is oily. I use this THIS
My little sister uses this because her skin peels and is dry. THIS
So, I guess I am recommending Cover Girl. lol
Edit: You can also find medicated foundations, but they are usually a little more pricey.

Like Yi Min said, it isn't really that the make up is bad for your skin. You just have to thoughly cleanse then tone and moisturize every night.

I really wish dermotologist would make up their minds. mad I've looked further into it and it seems there are alot of sites saying there is a connection and there are a lot that say there isn't. I guess it must depend on a person. However, personally, I've never had any trouble with my diet in correlation to acne. - But, everyone is differnt.-
