I was just browsing though Club Nintendo Japan's rewards catalogue when I saw this:

It's an Animal Crossing Stationery Set for 100 points....

I so want this!

One of my hobbies is buying and collecting stationery sets ranging from
Tarepanda to generic Chinese dragons from the various Chinese & Japanese stores in the Pacific Mall

Another thing I really want is this DS game card case:


It's only 150 points and it can holds 18 games...
Way better than the current three Nintendo DS Lite Game Card and Stylus Sets
offered by Club Nintendo North America! Sure those come with a rainbow stylus set
but they only hold 9 games and they cost 600 coins!

I mean would you have this:
When you can take the one above?

I don't know about you, but I'll rather have the one above!










Another thing I really wanted was this:

This is the Silver Nintendo DS Game Card Case with Aluminium stylus
that used to be available from Club Nintendo North America for 700 coins...
its since been removed from the catalogue...

No, it would be way easier to just import them via eBay... Though I don't see the Stationery Set ever being listed..

I would have to get the Japanese DS games for the code, though even third-party games in Japan not published by Nintendo have a code... And I would need to have a mailing address in Japan... and there's the whole not being able to read Japanese thing going against me.

Just a little pissed that the rewards in Japan not only cost less but are better too...

For Example:
Game & Watch Collection - Japan: 500 - US/Canada: 800
Hanafuda Cards - Japan: 400 - US/Canada: 800
Mario Nintendo DS Game Rack - Japan: 350 - US/Canada: 600

Even the new The Legend of Zelda 3-Poster Series that was just added to the North American catalogue earlier this month only costs 250 points in Japan... a full 100 less than then 350 coins it cost to get it here!

It's same with Sony online stuff as well. It's trade laws really. Just like stuff on itunes cost more for them even if they do have a Japanese branch.

I keep trying to change my username but they won't let me. I wonder if I should just set up another account but since they sold out of the Mr.Game and Watch Idc anymore.
