Somewhere in New England in a big abandoned cave there is a pirate ship. This was One-Eyed Willy's pirate ship put there long ago by One-Eyed Willy himself to guard his treasure of Gold, Rubys, and Diamonds. It was here, on the pirate ship, that Envy Kuchiki the Captain of Squad Four waited for Zaine. She sat on the outer railing with her feet swinging out toward the water below her. Now this probably seemed like a pretty weird place for a spar to most people but not to Envy, she had grown up watching The Goonies every year before Halloween and when Zaine contacted her about having a little sparing match it only seemed natural to her to have the fight here.

Zaine entered the cavern with a slight, bemused grin, he was supremely surprised that the fourth Division Taicho had accepted his proposal of a spar so he wasn't quite as shocked by the area she had chosen for the match, especially considering what he had heard of the woman's eccentric demeanor in some aspects. Leaping up onto the ship Zaine smied as he landed with a soft 'thump' upon the wooden deck of the ship, standing straight he looked to Envy and bowed respectfully, "Good evening Envy taicho, its so nice to finally meet you, allow me to introduce myself fully. I am Zaine Tsukioma, unseated member of the Tenth Division."

Envy looked over her shoulder and smiled to the man who introduced himself as Zaine, "It's nice to finally meet you. And I, well, I suppose you already know who I am, huh?" She laughed a little and then leaned back on the railing she was sitting on and did a small black flip. She landed in a crouch and her eyes that were turning a dark red were fixed upon Zaine. "So, why did you want to spar against me, Zaine?" While before she seemed happy and harmless, now she seemed kinda evil and her voice practically just screamed 'THIS PERSON IS DANGEROUS. RUN THE ******** AWAY.'

Zaine stood straight and relaxed, a grin lighting up the face of the shinigami, his crimson flecked, golden eyes danced with excitement and a good natured spirit, the eyes occasionally hid behind a few strands of stray dark brown hairs which were brushed back by Zaine's hand, this motion caused the black, hooded cloak's fur lined fabric to rustle softly and reveal the upper torso to be bare beneath it's embrace. The movement also elicited a soft jingle that's origins were revealed to be a silver cross about his neck, this was an unusal cross in one obvious way, its trunk was intersected but a pair of crescent moons, one obsidian and the other ivory. "Its a real honor to meet you Envy Taicho, and the reason I asked for this spar is simple, I wish enjoy an excellent fight against an exeptionally skilled opponent such as yourself and the other Taicho, and I also wish to learn from those such as you and your fellows."

Envy snorted, "Good luck with that. From what I've noticed all of us captains have different battle techniques and s**t." She stood up and began to walk slowly backwards. "For example, whilst other captains always preach about planning and s**t, I say let your instinct make your decisions. " And at that, her right hand flew up and the fourth hadou flew out at Zaine. As soon as the lightning had left her palm, she disappeared into a shunpo step and appeared behind Zaine. Her left fist swung at his head and her left leg swung at his thighs, trying to knock him over.

Zaine grinned, "And those differing styles are what I love to learn from, afterall not every enemy is utilsing the same strategies and techniques as the last no?" he brought his left hand up and chanted, "Myakuhaku Hanshou!" a crimson and gold concave barrier of reiatsu caught the hado and sent it flying into the sky above. Simultainiously the shinigami span to catch the fist aimed for his head, and tightened his muscles to lessen the impact the hit to his thigh would have caused, this allowed him to remain standing, though his face contorted in a pained grimace as the soreness stayed with him.

When Zaine raised his hand to catch her punch, she lowered her hand immediately. She didn't like people catching her s**t as it made the whole punching process pointless. Instead, she just quickened her kick and then jumped back a few feet from him. She glanced up into the sky where her hado had been sent flying to and then looked back to Zaine with dark eyes. "What was that? What you just did?"

Zaine grinned, standing to look at the woman with an impish gleam in his eyes, "That was my myakuhaku hanshou technique, see I cannot preform Kido even at a rudimentary level without.......explosive results. However, and perhaps more confusing, is the strange level of reiatsu manipulation and control I posses, thus over years of training I have perfected several reiatsu based techniques to counter and compensate for that weakness." he chuckled, "Is that understandable? Im no good at explinations."

"Huh. That's interesting... really interesting." Envy said quietly, almost to herself as the little mechanics and gears in her head started to churn. She wondered what other techniques the boy had... and what else, if anything else, he could do. The edge of the captains mouth twitched up into a little smile. She was going to play scientist today.
Quickly, in about a blink of an eye, she reached to her back and drew her zanpaktou, Breckian. The metal was black with a green sheen to it and the handle was also black with green ribbon wrappings on it. What the hell was with this captain and the colors black and green? The world would never know, but that's besides the point.
Envy leaped forward, clutching her sword so tightly that her knuckles turned white, showing off the tattooed word 'envy'. Though she didn't clutch it so tightly out of fear or training or whatever else, she did it merely out of habit. She swung her sword at him, aiming for a slash that would run from his left shoulder, across his chest, and finally ending at his hip.

Zaine watched her carefully, tensing up in anticipation of her next movement, seeing the blade suddenly appear to materialize in front of him Zaine released a pulse of reiatsu from the exact point on his body where the sword would have striked, effectivly creating a solid wall of reiatsu for the moments needed to deflect the strike, "Now then, my turn!' he exclaimed bringing his left hand up, fingers splayed out "Toobei Reikon!" he muttered, launching a barrage of small, weak reiatsu needles that traveled at near shunpo speed at Envy's person, their strength being that speed and their sheer number.
