Sieffre's Farming Route

~ ~ ~

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to my guide. I came up with this route in the summer of '09 to aid me with my daily farming runs. It originally consisted of just a few notes jotted down, but I realised that it could be of use to others in their farming goals, and so I turned it into a guide. This guide is written for higher-level farmers, although with some alteration of teleport methods it can be adapted for the lower-leveled farmer. I have not listed seed or sapling types for this reason.

Notes

BASIC NOTES & TIPS

~ Due to the short time span of the juju farming potion, I do not recommend using allotment seeds. You can repeat the Morytania-to-Ardougne section of the Herb Run if you wish to harvest your allotment patches.
~ Use your produce with the nearby leprechauns to exchange them for banknotes.
~ Plant your most expensive herb seeds in the Trollheim patch.
~ Either purchase supercompost or make your own in the Falador, Catherby or Ardougne compost bins.
~ After completing Fairy Tale Part III, you can ask the farmers to keep your plots raked.
~Payments are optional. I personally only pay for high-leveled trees if I have the payments 'in stock' from previous farming runs.
~ Spirit tree seeds cannot be reliably obtained so the patches must be visited outside of this route.

This guide assumes you have the following:

Ardougne cape 3+
Explorer’s ring 3+
Falador Shield 2+
Karamja gloves 1+
Greenfingers Aura Tier 1+
Access to Herblore Habitat and juju farming potions
Completed My Arm's Big Adventure

Multiple elven teleport crystals (Mourning's Ends Part I)
Access to rings of slaying (Smoking Kills)
All lodestones unlocked

Allotments are useful extra exp and do not take that much space - the tool leprechaun will note ANY produce you grow. This includes flowers and herbs, grimy or clean.

Hmm, I must be really out of the loop. I never heard about that. o.o
I'll have to try it on my next run and put it into the guide. Thanks for the information, by the way.

Well, I am out of the loop too because I didn't read the comments.

Leprechauns will note everything that is plant able except cabbages and white fruit. Just "Use" a crop and click on the leprechaun. Everything in your inventory will be noted on that specific crop.

Step 1: I never knew about the combat bracelet! Awesome!

Step 2: If you have done Garden of Tranquility (misspelled) you can grab the fruit off the tree. You get farming exp and if you eat the fruit your energy is restored by a certain unknown number but they are untradable.

I suggest switching steps 4 and 3 around. This allows you bank all the stuff that you just harvest. This also allows you to take out other teleports and accessories for step 5 without wasting a glory or ring of dueling.

Step 7: The optional. It is best to Rake the herb, the flax, and weed patch as they are worth more favor points. *Downside is, you get the weeds*

Also: I suggest using the Fairy code to your advantage to getting to other crops before heading to your kingdom such
as going to canfis and plant and pick up mushrooms and then use the fairy rings again to go to the patch in the swamp (step 13). This allows you to bank at your kingdom too!

Step 9: Since leprechauns can note Pineapples you can pick all the pineapples you want before heading to the calquat tree patch. Once there, note them before taking care of your calquats. :3

Overall, your routine is very nice! Whatever makes your farming experience faster and enjoyable.
I remember changing mine all the time. I harvest at all the patches except the flower in wild and the *never diseased patch* on troll mountain. XD
(I haven't farmed for two months)

It's going to take me a while to sort that information out, but I'll add it into the guide. Thank you very much!

Also, re the raking thing. If you fill up your inventory, the weeds will just disappear.

Haha, and I made this route just so that I'd always go through the same motions all the time, to make it flow more smoothly once I began to memorize the steps. xd

interesting route you take, mine is very different, as i am one of the few who use a completely magical way to farm, in other words i use the lunar spell book, and use spell book swap to switch between ancients, lunars and standard spells to telly, then instead of super compost i use fertile soil, which is a lunar spell which can be used as a substitute to super compost, very nice, as you also get magic exp. but i happen to have 99 magic so the extra doesn't help much anymore lol

I must admit, even though this guide has very few flaws, it's amazing.

Thank you for taking the time to write it ^_^. I'm going to start Farming in a couple of weeks, so it's useful to refreshing my knowledge on the skill razz

<3

Also, if you want, I can move this to the main guild forum for a few days so it gets noticed a bit more, just post back here if you'd like me to.

Nah, with the new guild page layout, it lists all the topics that have been posted in recently. Also, thank you for your comments! I'll be getting to fixing those errors as soon as I get the time.

@scratchy: That's an interesting way of doing the route. I'll have to try it out once I get the magic level for Spellbook Swap.

Now this made me want to make my routes and compare! Not to show off or be rude but as a way to share our interest. Such as artist showing other artist their artwork.

XD

You are an inspiration!

The more routes, the better!

Tightened up the route, removing the visit to Draynor manor, combining a few bank trips and taking into account a couple of new updates. Hope that it makes things a little easier!

Do you have a different farming route now?
PostPosted: Sun Sep 16, 2012 10:58 pm

Lodestone/toolbelt update! Plus some other stuff. A couple of th' maps are still a tad out of date (Lumbridge and Falador fer example, but not enough fer me t' feel like updatin' them as well.

I also added a list fer people like me who would rather withdraw everythin' they need at th' beginnin' to avoid makin' long bank stops. I knew there were a reason I'd put all th' bank stops in orange text.

Th' Trollheim map will be updated when I git off Lunars and back ta th' normal spellbook.
