So he stood there with a playful chuckle rolling over his maw. He had once again made it to town to steal one of those bratty children for his father. He grippingly held onto her arm with his piercing teeth; her red blood pouring over his already crimson dyed body. The small humanoid gave a wail but it further made Faust manically giggle. As if he felt slightly amused with his fathers sick form of torture. He had to eat several humans just to get one in decent condition like this. Generally he probably would have eaten the girl too but his father was counting on him for dinner. Shame too. His eyes traveled over her plump midriff. Her tiny little arms and her chubby legs. His teeth seamed to only bite down harder on the arm as his muzzle with filled with shrill shrieks of joy. Father wouldn't miss one arm would he? He took his head and moved it just about to jerk the arm off when he heard a familiar ringing in his head-

Drop it Faust...

His father moved towards his son Grabbing the small child's skull in his maw. Oh how well did Dante enjoy this part. There was a soft popping sound followed by a crack and Dante was now carrying what was once the child's skull.

Don't eat the rest of this child. She's my prey!

He said coldly continuing to crack down on his prize. Tail wavering back and forth like a pleased mother to a new litter. Oh how much he hated his son for not being anything like him or Inferno. But the whelp did serve his purpose. He was skilled at stealing human children night after night for his bloody rituals. Of course this was all thanks to Dante himself. He'd wrapped his mind around some of the more powerful townsfolk convincing them not to leave- that the problem would 'solve itself'. As the rest of the town was just to scarred or poor to not listen to these well oiled men. What simple creatures these humans were. He emitted a tiny chuckle in his mind to anyone within a small radius to himself then continued to masticate his new toy in his teeth.

Faust could only watch now having dropped the arm his had been dragging the child with this entire time. He'd have to calm his blood lust or father would punish his mind for disobeying. He looked down one last time at the dead body and sighed.

"No tasty tasty for bad wolfblood..."

The shrill cackle then pushed itself back threw his gullet and out his windpipes once again.

"Shall go find man child to satisfy hunger..."

And with that Faust began to wander back towards the town leaving his father with his kill.

Azani's feet pressed quietly against leaves damp from the rain a day earlier. The trees here were thick, and prevented the sun from completely drying them, especially with the clouds sweeping in from her left covering the sun. The smell of wet loam and leaves floated around her, with the occasional scent of prey coming her way. Her violet eyes surveyed the forest around her, but it was all quiet, much like her journey for the past few days. She couldn't complain; quiet meant their was no trouble, and that her trek was at least safe, if not companionable. Then again, that suited Azani just fine. She wasn't a big talker with strangers, and she was more comfortable staying away from packs.

The stabbing zing of copper filled her nose and she immediately stopped moving, her head turning as she tried to find the source. She lifted her nose into the air and slowly began moving again, heading for the smell, cautiously. If this was from a pack hunt, she didn't need to find herself one against a half-dozen. But if it was from a freshly abandoned kill, she may have found herself a decent snack.

She picked her way through the trees, ears forward, and she stopped the moment she heard a sound she didn't want to hear. Crunching. That meant that whatever predator was there, he hadn't finished his meal yet. Against her better instincts, Azani continued on. She could always pass with a quick greeting and a wide berth if it looked like a wolf she didn't want to get involved with.

His back was to her as she approached, swinging wide to go by with her eyes locked on him and her ears alert for the sounds of others. Her face, as usual, was passively blank although her mind tumbled over her thoughts. A loner? Maybe. He was wearing something around his neck... She frowned. She'd heard of wolves wearing feathers, but never pelts, and that looked decidedly like a pelt. By now her scent would have hit him, even if he were completely oblivious to the soft sounds of her passing by, so she chose to be polite in the event that it would allow her some safety of passage.

"Hello," she greeted shortly, eyeing his kill. What was that? It was lightly colored and decidedly lacking in fur, but his body was still blocking most of it from view...

Perfect, perfect. Don't you smell it? The Demon purred, dancing inside his brain. Belial rolled his eyes and continued to plug away at the journey, paw after paw, head high, tail low. He didn't need a fight, afterall; he would surely give his belly to any other wolf, female or male. He just wasn't a fighter. It was the Demon who liked the brutalities of war. Usually, it was calm, quiet.... But today, the Demon was particularly active.

"Smell what?"

That pungent copper scent. The voice cracked and crunched in his head, making a sound like bones being split by teeth. Bile rose in Belial's throat and he flattened his ears.

"No. Leave me alone."

You're never alone. Never, never, never! Another high-pitched giggle. Belial turned away and did his best to ignore the Demon's chattering.

That's when he smelled it. The rich, coppery scent of blood. And alot of it. His nose wrinkled up, ears perking forwards, pale eyes viewing another wolf as it tore flesh from bone of a strange, bald animal.

The Demon shrieked with laughter. Belial gulped. "Hello..." He hoped he wouldn't get attacked for this...

It was quite obvious that the smell of the dead human had attracted quite a few other wolves about. It was rather obvious that was going to happen. And like normal Dante let it completely roll off his back and continued to put his teeth threw the skull a few more time. At this point it was more of a bloody bone sack then it was a skull anymore. As Dante had learned children's skulls were rather easy to break and tear threw. But they made the more pleasing sounds as he did.

He didn't even turn to face the new wolves around him. He just merely called to Faust to make himself useful and kill the intruders. He had no time for fights. And if he son did die by accident what did he care? He's be finally rid of his useless blood spawn and he'd be able to try again for another litter of gods. That would appease him just as much as killing several more children.

Faust brain has twisted once or twice and he lept back from the painful message Dante had sent at him. His father never did speak to him when he needed him. He rather just picked the most painful thing one could think and sent that for several minutes. He gave a light shake when it was over and whimpered twice more trying to shove a paw over the top of his skull hopefully causing the pain to go away. Instead he just managed to gouge existing holes and make his cranium bleed again.

But finally it came to an end and he trotted in the direction that the most painful memories came from. Food? Is that why he had been called? His tongue lolled out of his mouth menacingly. He was still hungry after bringing that human brat to his father. And enraged that he wasn't allowed to have any of it. With a giggle and an upturned smile he could make out one of the wolves infront of him.

"Yummy yummy wolfmeat!"

He giggled again shrilly calling out to his dad vocally. Then without hesitation rushed forth towards the blue wolf.

"Wolfblood may eat wolfmeat?"

And Dante gave a small nod of his head as he continued crushing the skull. With that the shrill laughter got louder until his teeth were latched onto the blue wolf's neck. Like a lion trying to break it's preys windpipe he just clamped and chewed.

"Wolfblood hungry...you do..."

With the demon shrieking in laughter and no warning growl from the other wolf, he didn't see the flying scarred black wolf until it was too late. Fangs sunk into his neck and Belial scrambled backwards, shaking himself to try and dislodge the male. It didn't work. The black wolf was smaller, much smaller -- or perhaps Belial was just a giant: giant paws, giant frame, heavy pelt.

KILL HIM! KILL HIM! The laughter ceased, replaced with a hearty growl from the Demon. Belial fought for control as the Demon reached out with clawed hands, gripping Belial's mind in his grip and squeezing. Belial gave a cry: he was unsure if it was from the pain of the black wolf's bites or of the mental trauma the Demon was putting him through.

He buckled under, rolling onto his back and onto Faust. His jaws stayed snapped shut, even though the Demon wanted them to open. He craved the blood. The pain was overbearing! With a shriek of his own, his sight went black.

When his vision returned, his jaws were aiming for the tiny black wolf's throat, fangs dripping saliva. It was kill or be killed, and the Demon had been right... The Demon gave a cackle as fangs collided with fur and Belial's form crashed into the smaller wolf's body.

Faust hung on as long as he could. Shrieking happily with each drip of the others blood that he could taste in his mouth. Had he been sane he would have noticed this wolf was nearly three times the size of himself. But Dante's constant abuse had turned him from a thinker to a killer. No instincts other then to dispose and injest. Oh how he could almost taste the other's sweet flesh but it was over too soon as he felt the sharp pain of the others teeth in his own side and an overwhelming force of power; like a train plowing into a car. Faust tripped and rolled onto his back, instead of yelping in pain like a normal wolf. He had just begun to giggle when he fell sourly enjoying the physical pain that he was receiving. Maybe he would let the other bite him abit before attacking?

But again thinking wasn't Fausts strong suit and with his instinct to kill rearing up more then logic. He pushed his own teeth forward from his spot on the ground to grab at any form of fur that swung to close to his snapping pearly whites.

That's right! Good boy... the Demon purred. Belial was three-sheets to the wind, however, Faust's blood dripping down his chin as he snapped and bit, placing a large blue paw on Faust's chest, pinning him down. He was so small. Perhaps if he wasn't in attack mode, he would've even felt bad for picking on a wolf so tiny, so fragile... And the scars. Belial paused, jaws closing around Faust's neck but not biting down as the little wolf snapped at his ear. A rumble rose up his throat and he just stood there, dominating -- something unnatural to this wolf. His tail flagged high and his ears were pinned, bright white eyes flashing.

Now finish him... Finish him off and savor the taste!

But Belial couldn't. His breath filled him and slowly, he spat the black wolf out, taking a few steps back. "Enough... Attack me again and I'll snap your neck, little black wolf." The threat was hollow, empty, as Belial wasn't sure he could indeed snap the small wolf's neck.

PostPosted: Sat Oct 24, 2009 3:33 pm

Faust didn't hear the other wolf's words. Just growls and hissing in his own mind. He could feel the others teeth clamping down on his neck and his back end now wiggled under the weight of the big wolf's paws. 'Can't eat wolfmeat if not free...stop attacking now then he let us go?' But his teeth hissed forward before the thought in his own mind could finish. He gave a blood curdling yowl and he himself pushed up on the teeth. 'Had to be free...had to eat...had to kill...' The shrill giggles continued as the blood spilled from the holes in his neck that he himself was creating from his movement.

"FREE FREE FREE!!!"

His loose paws raced under him scratching at the body of the other best he could- he needed meat he needed to get away. 'Why didn't wolf fall like ugly naked wolf?'

Dante aware of all that was going on growled at Faust mentally. As he now placed down what was left of the head and turned towards the two fighting. His skull glinting menacingly with his blind eye. The same hatred, and craze that were in Faust's red eyes were in Dante's all well. Except he had control over his own insanity. You could quite clearly tell the two were related.

'Go ahead and kill my son...he's useless to me anyway...'

He spoke calmly into the big blue wolfs head. He could tell what was brewing back and forth upstairs. And if he could trade his weak son for this new brute at his side then maybe the day wouldn't be a total loss to him.

'You know you want to release that inner demon you have...I'd like to see how truly powerful you are...KILL MY SON...

Of course during all of this Faust had no idea what his father had been saying. His message hadn't been directed to anyone but Belial. For all he knew Dante could have been bargaining to save his life. Doubtful, but Faust's giggles were getting weaker and weaker as he continue to bleed out of his neck from the struggling.

Azani moved backwards as the second wolf arrived and continued trying to move around the two until a black wolf blocked her selected path in his hurry to return to his friend. She was far enough to the front of the wolf now to see what he looked like and although her face stayed stoic, her stomach churned. He was wearing a skull to hide his face, and it had been a pelt around his neck. A fox. She jerked her head around as the black wolf chattered about eating his own kind and then laughed insanely. Azani's expression shifted to surprise as he leapt on the blue wolf, sending the two tumbling into a writing pile.

They're insane, they're all insane! Her face closed off again, although her eyes still reflected some of the fear she was feeling as she backed quickly in the direction she had intended to flee in the first place. If she were lucky, the masked-wolf would stay intent on his meal or the fight, and the black one would be so taken with his larger counterpart that they would forget she was even nearby.

Dante's mind flickered towards the fleeing female. Her fear was easy to sense and he smiled inwardly upon her. Bearing down like a heavy weight he bellowed with a loud half pleased laugh in her mind.

'Don't plan on running away my pet. Just because my attention is elsewhere I still know your there. So do me a favor and be patient. After deal with my son's death. I'll deal with you.'

He said with confidence his eye's plastered on Faust's eyes and face. He wanted to remember his exact moment of death. Inferno would like the image. She wasn't to fond of having a 'normal' wolf as a son either. He again spoke to her again.

'If you run I will kill you. If you stay; I might be more lenient to you. After all I could always use more pretty things in my herum.

It couldn't be denied that he was male after all. And though he would never do anything against his mate Inferno sexually. It still didn't keep him from looking around for pretty things to dote on or flirt with. Whatever the case was at that exact moment.

Azani's back legs crumpled as her mind was pushed, and she stayed in the sitting position she fell in, face contorted in pain. She managed to keep her front legs locked and her whimpers of pain locked in her chest, silent, but that was all she could do. A mystic. The masked one was a mystic! The sudden mind-to-mind dialogue and the use of special gifts had been unexpected, but now they were simply more reasons to keep her defenses up and her will strong. She was non-confrontational by nature, but she knew how to defend herself when she had to. Physically, anyway. Against attacks on her mind, there was no such thing as defense. She was not gifted the way this horrible creature was.

If she ran, she would die. If she stayed, she would die or worse. His voice rang in her skull, echoing off every surface of her mind, but Azani refused to show her fear or her anger, even if he could hear it. The implication that she would be turned into a slave barely phased her. Horrifying though it was, he could do worse to her, and very well might, so where was the good in worrying over it? The best she could hope for was a chance, one chance, to escape, or that if she stayed quiet and submissive he would tire of her and let her go with the minimum amount of harm.

But what good was that when the opponent could hear your every thought?

She let a calm veneer slide through her, the way she did when she usually closed her face off from emotion, and let that settled as a blanket on her feelings. It was a thin protection that wouldn't do much good, but if he was simply glancing over her mind it would hide the most revealing of her thoughts at the least. The fight received only an impassive stare from her, but her paws were trembling and her fear was making her want to resort to the same brutal reactions the blue wolf had when confronted with the mystic's son.

She seamed to be the obedient type. This pleased Dante well. At least she had been smart enough to stay where she had been told. And despite her facade to be brave and strong his many years of experience could clearly tell him that she was crumbling inside moment by moment the more she stayed in his presence. With his 'third eye' now focused squarely on his sons fight he took the time to move closer to the female. Close enough that his nose wuffled slowly over her neck furs; and like and alcoholic intoxication. His addiction to women clearly showed. Even so that he might have loosened his grip on the blue wolfs mind. 'Ahhh females...It was going to be the one thing that killed him in the end.' He circled around her a few more times wuffling here and there.

'Oh no my pet I would never grow tired of you...your beauty proceeds you.'

His hind quarters gave a momentary wiggle but he remembered his vow to Inferno and how much more she meant to him. But ah he was so tempted at this very moment to over-come the female. His third eye again loosen once more so that he almost couldn't see or hear his son's plea's in his mind.

'I'm glad though that you've chosen to serve me by not running pet. It would shame me to have to destroy a creature as lovely as you.

He let out a small sigh from his mouth. Something odd for the Seer. Mind gods were never supposed to speak verbally.

Her body stiffened as the mystic came closer to her. When he leaned forward to take in her scent and circle her, her entire body felt like a vine pulled taught and ready to snap. Her muscles wanted to shoot her into a sprint, but her subconscious was keeping her in place, allowing her conscious mind to scatter thoughts like pollen to the winds. With him this close in proximity to her, blood still staining his muzzle from his kill, Azani had no idea how she had missed how dangerous this wolf was from the first sight of him. Even the compliments oozing in her brain made her heart whimper in fear.

How was she expected to respond to that? She didn't seem to have to, and he hadn't given her a reason to speak yet, which worked to her benefit. She wasn't sure she could string words toghether coherently without saying something awful that would get her killed.

The sigh rippled over part of her fur and her body twitched away from him involuntarily. She turned her head slightly, moving him back into her sight. Even if it would be stupid to fight him, that didn't mean she wouldn't keep a close watch on him while he was near her. Her regard only extended as far as if she needed to protect herself. She was interested in nothing else. For now, though, it seemed he was interested enough to keep her in one piece. With this wolf she didn't need to pick at flaws for reasons to keep away; his personality was reason enough.

I am not interested in a mate, regardless of what he can do, she thought firmly to him, focusing her eyes on his muzzle. Who knew what further damage he could do if their eyes met. It was said that some mystics needed only to catch your eyes in theirs to see into the furthest reaches of your mind. Azani thought this one was doing just fine without needing her eyes, but it never hurt to take precautions.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 24, 2009 6:49 pm

He read her mind as easy as reading a piece of paper. He didn't need to look at her. Heck she could have been several miles away and he still could have talked to her. Shame he didn't see her that far though; she was quite a lovely wolfess. But her sudden thought of her wanting to be his mate made him sputter a terrible aggression from his teeth and maw. He then regained himself and spoke back to her.

'My pet...' He dragged it on with an adoring sort of tone. 'I'm not asking you to be my mate. You by far are not worthy enough to be my MATE. There is only one wolfess that holds my heart- and SHE is not YOU...'

He almost glared at her with his minds eye that she could even THINK that she was anything close to Inferno. But he wouldn't punish her, not this time anyway. Though if she disgraced his Inferno one more time- he might have to turn her into a bumbling slave like her son. She was still; at the moment anyway far to pretty too kill.

'No my dear pet. You will become one of my 'treasures'. So I can look upon your soft beauty at any time of need. But I warn you once-'

He took a very long pause then looked into her mind more menacing then before. 'You will never be higher then Inferno...' He plastered a terrifying picture of the female into the other girls mind. 'If you at ANY time FORGET that...you'll have a fate far WORSE then my son...and will be at HER disposable. Are we clear pet?'

Azani's hackles rose the more he spoke to her, and when he gazed into her mind with such ferocity her lip immediately curled back in a snarl, though no sound accompanied it. The image of a she-wolf, frightening and vicious like the wolf before her, flared in her mind and her ears pinned back in response, a slow whine of a growl leaking from her throat. She wasn't disappointed that he didn't want to mate with her, but that image, that female...

By nature, Azani was not a hostile wolf. This was a different situation, however. One she had never found herself in before. And when her chance to think through a situation, her way of handling all of her problems, was taken away from her, she was lost and left to the dregs of what remained.

Instinct.

A snarl rose in her throat and she leaned away from the ferocity of his reaction. Left to that creature's mercy? That creature had no mercy. It seemed her choice wasn't really a choice at all.

Shouldn't you be worried more about your son bleeding out? She suggested, her mind flashing past an image of the blood oozing from Faust's neck.
