It had been some time since the last time that they had gone out, Rong having displayed little desire to really go anywhere other then a few set places around the village that he'd taken to. He liked high places the most he'd realized, be it up on his Father's shoulder, sitting on the top of fence posts that he climbed up, or even among the branches of trees. Something about being that far up with the wind at his back, it was just relaxing. As good as it felt though he still couldn't quite feel a feeling akin to that one that he'd seen on Rei's face when he looked upon the flowers and it was something that frustrated him like nothing else. He felt in many ways as though he were lacking in some manner.

He looked down at his Father for a long moment as the guy walked along then his eyes went wide, all three of them as they came over a rise and suddenly the ground before them was decorated for as far as Rong could see with varying sizes of some sort of strange, orange item. He blinked a couple times before looking at Ryhdderch, waiting for an explanation for what in the world was going on with this area. It was infested with orange plants and their sprawling vines.

"Pumpkin Patch, we are here to pick one of them up for the holiday that is coming up." Their village didn't really celebrate in the same manner that most did but he thought that perhaps getting a pumpkin to carve up and use as the filling of pie might help with Rong's strange behavior. He had seen the manner in which Rong seemed to stand back and watch everything, the idea of making him do something prompted this. Maybe he would be able to better under stand things if he got his hands dirty instead of just trying to figure them out through observation.

Pumpkin? Holiday? He wasn't sure that he understood but he nodded regardless, feeling a bit put out as he was placed down on the ground among the orange vegetables that were rather large close up, a few in fact appearing to be bigger then he was. Interesting... he moved forward toward one of the biggest of them, lifting a hand to poke at it then pet it. Interesting, this must be the leader of the pumpkin he decided with a nod.

Rong was squatted down in front of a monster pumpkin and found himself debating on whether or not they would be able to get it home. It was of a massive size but... so was Ryhdderch, surely his Father figure could carry something of this size back home, right? He reached a hand to tap it against the pumpkin then blinked a the sound it made. He slipped closer, laying his ear against the pumpkin and patted his hand against it again. It sounded hollow he thought to himself... what a strange sort of thing this pumpkin was.

He rose up to his feet and turned to look at his Father who wasn't to terribly far away and pointed at the giant orange vegetable and awaited the decision of the tall male, to see if he would be able to bring this one home or not.

As with most places Ryhdderch stood out like a sore thumb, an eight food tall, who knew how heavy cow man wasn't something easily missed. He was towering over his son and the monster of a pumpkin that the boy had decided was the one that they had to bring home. The minotaur starred at the one that Rong wanted and a groan escaped him, "Ahh, well now... that is a most interesting pick. I am not so sure about that one. Can't you find one that is a bit smaller?" He asked of his son, one had scratching his chubby belly.

Rong crossed his arms over his chest as he turned to scan the nearby area, none of the others were as impressive though... but if he couldn't have this one he wasn't sure if he wanted another one. He blinked a couple times then started to walk forward to once more inspect pumpkins.

Rong paused in his inspecting of the pumpkins to look toward the direction a voice that was familiar despite the fact that it didn't belong to his Father. He came away from the orange vegetable that he was looking over, having been comparing it to the monster pumpkin, before looking around. He found himself starring at someone familiar, the boy from that garden place. The one with the broken eye, pretty tail, and weird reaction around plants.

He starred at him as hard as he could though he expression didn't really to change all that much. He was a simple creature at the moment, simple and quiet and that had yet to change despite everything that happened around him. Things seemed to flow around him much like the wind and he wasn't bothered and left untouched by it all. This one bugged him a bit though if for no other reason then he couldn't seem to understand him in any way, shape, or form. As such one would think that he would avoid the snake tailed kid but that wasn't the case, in fact Rong started forward toward him and for the moment abandoned the hunt.

Ryhdderch tilted his head, "Where you heading to, Rong?" He asked, looking forward on the path that he was taking before an 'ahhh' sound escaped him when he spotted Liam and his boy. Uh-oh... the minotaur turned himself around before trotting after his boy just in case, hard to tell what may happen since their last meeting hadn't gone that well.

Rong looked up at Lian for a long moment, starring at him with his dark eyes before he finally gave a nod which he had learned was good enough to fill in any silences that he left due to his lack of the voice that other seemed to have before he continued along. He watched the manner in which Rei was petting the pumpkin. He wondered if the fact that Rei wasn't looking at him was due to that whole thing with the flower so long ago? He blinked before he he moved closer, reaching his hands up to catch hold of Rei by the wrist and held fast, as though he were certain the other were going to flee as he had the last time.

Ryhdderch watched for a long moment before he trotted forward, careful not to squish any of the vegetables. He looked the boys over and winced when Rong grabbed hold of him, "Well... that's a new one..." What was it about the horned boy that seemed to get Rong so out of sorts? He had no idea and it caused his tail to twitch behind him, "If he gets to rough I will remove him." He assured Liam with a little smile.

One of Rong's hands tightened that much more when Rei tried to escape, the feel of him tugging making him react in an instinctive manner. He gave a rapid shake of his head when it seemed as though Rei were going to try to leave again. No, no... he didn't want to see him, didn't he understand that? He released the hold he had with his hand that contained his third eye before he reached out to touch Rei's cheek as though he were try to convey what he was thinking as simple as it was. He didn't want Rei to go home again...

Ryhdderch gave a sighing sound, moving to take a step closer to his son, certain that he was going to have to extract him away from the other boy, "I am sorry... he seems to act so strangely around your boy, in a manner he doesn't around others." He murmured, sounding as though he were just confused by it all. What was it about this child that just seemed to set Rong off?

He reached down to try to catch hold of his son and was a bit surprised when Rong ducked out of the way and tried to flee, seeming to be attempting to take the other with him... something that drew another groan from the minotaur.

Ryhdderch lifted a hand to rub it against his face before he gave a nod, "I... am pretty sure that is what he is up to." He muttered, drawing a deep breath before he reached out once more, able to catch hold of Rong this time by the back of his shirt, "Rong, he is not a damsel to be kidnapped and your are most certainly no dragon."

The boy did his best to keep a hold of Rei though as he was lifted up he was forced to release him and he turned to give his father a long look, no to terribly different from the expression he normally wore. It was just... a degree of difference, something akin to him being upset at being taken from Rei... or how it was in Rong's mind Rei being taken away from him. No, not again... they weren't allowed to take him away again before he'd even been able to do anything with him. Rei had left so fast last time after he killed that flower... he wasn't allowed to leave again.

The boy wiggled and squirmed before he went limp and just slipped out of his shirt before he rushed forward to duck behind Rei.

"Oh... sheesh." The minotaur muttered, looking at the shirt he'd been left holding that his son had somehow snaked his way out of.

Rong starred at Rei's wrist and he gave a shake of his head, no... no that wasn't what he'd wanted he thought to himself as he saw the way the other boy was rubbing himself as though he'd been wounded. No... not hurting, he was just trying to keep him from leaving again, keep him from looking at him like he were someone terrible just due to a flower's death. He lifted his gaze to stare at Rei, wanting for him to understand. He could understand the plants, right? They didn't speak either so why couldn't the horned boy understand him?

The minotaur took a step forward but hesitated in grabbing for his son again since it didn't seem as though he were going to attempt to kidnap his... he wasn't sure if he could call the boys friends, acquaintances maybe? The relationship between them seemed to complicated for simple terms like 'friends'... Not when they didn't exactly see eye to eye and Rong was better at scaring Rei then anything...

Rong blinked when Rei was suddenly fleeing from him and he took a step after him, as though he wanted to stay by him when he suddenly found himself scooped up by Ryhdderch. He looked a bit startled as the minotaur helped him to get back into the shirt that he'd slipped out of to be able to follow the horned boy. No, no... he didn't care about the shirt, he just wanted to make that one understand that he wasn't just a flower killer.

Rei was with his father though, wrapped around him, clinging to him... he blinked again before he seemed to give up. He leaned into his father and the look that had almost been bordering on real emotion seemed to fade back to his normal expression. Rei couldn't understand him he realized, he wasn't a flower after all so he wasn't going to be able to read him the same as those things.

The minotaur gave his son a gentle pat on the head before he set him back on his feet. He straightened out and watched his on, expecting him to go after Rei again but much to his surprise the boy turned to just walk off toward the pumpkins once more as though whatever interest he had in the other boy had waned. He gave a flick of his tail and a sigh before looking to Liam, shrugging, "I am sorry... he is... a bit difficult to understand." He murmured, "I need to visit with the one I adopted him from, a man called Wylde to see if perhaps Rong isn't well."
