Still on my decision for a new amp, I have narrowed it down to either Fender or Marshall. I decied against the Orange because it was too expensive for what I am after.

marshall has more of a mid sizzle and push than the fender and fender has more high and pull

What do you mean by pull?

Pull is like less of a bass sound its just a metaphor. The amp is twangy not like a marshall which is creamy and* smooth

Oh I see. I'm after a fat sound that I can use to compliment Les Pauls, but also a thnner sound to work with strats. confused

I would go with the Marshall personally. Think about it: Which do you actually play more of? twinkling cleans and twangy riffs or creamy leads and crunchy rythms? Personally with my modelling amp I can make the Marshall setting twang just like a Fender (not QUITE the same obviously), just with the way I play and the pickups I use (I get some major twang even from the hot rails style humbucker in my Tele.

I actully don't care about the brand I can just tweak it with the EQ

You can do all the EQ tweeking you want but if you have a crap amp it will still sound like dump.

I am probably gonna go with the Marshall. Strats through marshalls sound better then les pauls through fenders. Thanks for your help guys. wink
