Kikuba was lost, she didn't really have one specific place of residence, but she didn't know where she was. That was not to say she wasn't pleased with herself. She had found some abandoned hunting grounds, it seemed, for she had found some very clean bones of some unfortunate prey beast. It wasn't that bad a sight, certainly no longer appetizing to anybody looking for carrion or disturbing to anybody who preferred a fresh kill.. it was just a pile of bones. She was busy poking through them thoughtfully, not hungry but extremely curious. She never really had stuck around after she finished eating, not long enough to wtiness thing. It was fascinating to say the least, she had no idea just how morbid some might have considered it.

"Well," she murmured to herself, finally stopping to stare at the skull, "Would you look at that." It was such a funny shape! She made a face at it, trying to figure out just what exactly might have something that looked like that underneath all the skin and fur of their head. Something funny looking, no doubt!

Jiwe was counting again. He wasn't obsessive about it, oh no. He was just 245 steps into it, that's all. And he was walking regularly, of course. Just counting his steps. The little blue hybrid was therefore not watching where he was going. He was watching his feet, making sure he was not going to miscount at all.

Of course, doing this caused for him to pay no attention at all to where he was going. And so he walked right into a pretty cheetah inspecting a pile of bones.

"Oof! Ah, what are you doing there?" He frowned, glancing up at her, and then his frowned deepened when he realized that he lost his count of steps. Drat.

"Ah!" she started when suddenly something ran into her, spinning around quickly to see what it was. She blinked when she spotted a blue feline, frowning and demanding to know what she was doing here. He was rather small and a rather dull color, but very, very interesting, "I- I was just looking at these bones. Maybe you ought to look where you're going." Her voice was less upset, it was almost teasing. She offered him a small smile, but looking concerned when he frowned.

"Is something wrong?"

His frown evolved into a slight glare. "I was counting. And when I ran into you, I lost count of all my steps! Thanks," he added sarcastically. Although Jiwe had to kind of look up to glare at her, since he was so much shorter than she. He hated being a cub.

"I lost count," he repeated, then glanced down to the bones she had been looking at. "What are you doing with these bones?"

Kikuba gave him a funny look when he actually glared at her and used a rather unfriendly tone with her. She hadn't meant to do anything, and he was being unnecessarily mean about it. Besides, she was so much bigger than him! He should be kinder and more careful for just that reason. Not that she really would do anything about it but.. she could! She frowned back at him, but decidedly did not say anything about his rude behavior. She could give him a second chance. Besides, he put her attention back on the bones. She lost her frown and looked curiously back over her shoulder, turning around to look at them again.

"I was just looking," she explained, "Aren't you ever curious about new things?" She glanced at him again. She didn't know much about cubs but she thought it made sense.
