 On the magical night of Summer's Eve, glowing jack-o-lanterns, carved from turnips or gourds, were set on porches and in windows to welcome deceased
loved ones, but also to act as protection against malevolent spirits. It was believed that the souls of the dead were closest to this world and was the best time to
contact them to say good bye or ask for assistance.

Race: Basilisk
Gender: Female
About: Yami was born into death on Halloween. She does not know anything (yet) of her past life. In her life of death, Yami is social and slightly conceited. She believes herself to be beautiful and prides herself to socializing with basilisks over all others (although she enjoys chatting with most everyone, she finds other basilisks to be beautiful and closer to her social class).
Abilities: Because she is a constellation, Yami's blood is a cure for many things, but one must be careful with the dosage. Too much of Yami's blood may lead to adverse reactions or poisoning.. Yami also has the ability to to charm beings, especially weaker minded ones. The basilisk can spit venom in times of need, but it takes a while to regenerate its self so it can be used only rarely.
Basilisk -
Name given to the serpent-bottomed creatures. They are very prideful in their tails, which can range from simple serpentish to having long tendrils of flowing hair, to even feathers. They love basking in warm, sunlit areas, but are also adept swimmers and some have even grown wings upon their arms to fly. They are mostly carnivorous, though they will also feed on berries and other fruits.
Constellation-
Spirits who come from the tree of dreams. They are often very beautiful and unearthly, and their blood, like a Fey, is used as a cure-all.
