583 years ago, a mysteriouse material known as wave stone caused cataclysmic events, changing the face of the world. All maps and previously known locations became void, as entire world was reduced to floating islands both in the sky and sea. The two races which inhabited this world, those known as Humes and Beasts began to refer to this new world as the Grand Frontier.

The ruling class known as the Cartographers instantly began to seize control of the wave stones using their power to assert their control over the world. They found that the wave stones were not simply pieces of rock, but living creatures and that their power could be increased by implanting them in hosts. The Cartographers created a virus, known as Wave Seed, to spread the wave stone symbiotes. Countless Beasts and Humes died in the aftermath. This event caused the first Wave Uprising and weakened the control of the Cartographers.
The loss by the Cartographers allowed two new factions to rise up. The Pioneers and Sky Pirates. Each strived to obtain the Wave stones for their own reason. The Cartographers wishing to seize back control and restore order, the Pioneers to find a way to cure Wave Seed and raise more land, and the pirates who simply yearned for power, freedom, and treasure.

His eyes can be seen changing colors and spikes sprout out from his knees and elbows. Other than that, he pretty much looks the same.
