Black stone and parapets loom before you, a leviathan keep, a monsterous monolith stretching towards the stormy sky as if jumping from the surrounding forest: Saekii. The most prestigious school for magical arts on the continent, and maybe in the world, taught by the very gods themselves. -----The outside world of Maika Tenei has always had a turbulent history with powerful forces vying for power. Peace never lasts long, but for the moment things are calm, the forces of Virtue have won crutial victories over the forces of Corruption, and the denizens of Maika Tenei enjoy a stretch of peace. The Incarnations and the Elements bound to them, known as gods to most, abide here.
The gods, though, aren't perfect. -----They are just as flawed and emotional as humans and their lot, but their struggles make much more of an impact on the world around them. The gods generally fall into one of two categories - the Corrupt and the Virtuous. Curiously though, some beings lie outside those generalizations, capable of switching sides or carrying characteristics of both. They are Gray. More interestingly yet, it is two Gray twins who lead each side. Ahkra, the Incarnation of Darkness, leads the Virtuous, although you might not guess it from his attitude at times. His twin brother Omin is the very Incarnation of Corruption itself.
The gods lead much more human lives than what you might expect. -----With peace, they've run out of things to do. And so, they've opened a school. Don't worry, though, it's only the Virtuous ones. The school itself, Saekii, is a school for mages, healers, and anyone who is either born with or wishes to learn magic. And you're just lucky enough to have gotten a spot.

The Races of Maika Tenei: Incubus/Succubus: Characteristically lascivicous and gorgeous individuals who flirt through their whole lives and generally can't keep their eyes off of young men or young women, although each has his or her own preferences.Dragon: There are many types of dragons in Maika Tenei. Rune Dragons, Blue Dragons, Black Dragons, Red Dragons, Water Dragons, and Northern Dragons to name a few. All of them have the ability to shapeshift, and all of them except for the Northern Dragons are reptillian in their standard form, ranging in size from a house cat to an SUV, usually, although it depends on the individual. The Northern Dragons are the only race of mammalian dragons. They have fur, a cat-like tail, four paws, and wings, and look like a cross between a fox, big cat, and dog. There are also Ancient Dragons, but these are nearly extinct, and therefore unplayable. Zylphia, Ahkra's sister, is one of the last.Elf: Like the Dragons, elves come in many flavors. There are the Sun Elves, which most people picture when the E-word is thrown out: light colored hair, fair skin, and light eyes. Then there are the Dark Elves, whose skin is equally fair, but have dark hair and eyes. Both Dark Elves and Sun Elves are diurnal (awake during the day). On the other hand, we have the Drow. Drows do not always live underground, nor do they usually, but they are nocturnal, and have feuded with the Sun Elves for as long as anyone can remember, for a reason everyone has forgotten. Last but not least are the Wilderfae. The Wilderfae have any range of haircolor from blond to black to seafoam green or purple, and their eyes are equally as diverse. The one trait that characterizes all of them is stripes. A Wilderfae will have stripes on their body from birth, usually crimson in color, not unlike those of a tiger, although more sparse. All elves have pointed ears. Oh, and they're not little people, just in case you were thinking it. In terms of height, elves are about on scale with humans, although they do tend to be a bit more lean or slender.Human: Self-Explanatory. Humans have the ability to learn magic, although it's rare for a human to be a natural mage. Their hair color is restricted to blonde, brunette, red, and black, although occassionally one is born with an odd color like white.Daemon: The daemons are as ancient a race as the elves, and not always evil as everyone tends to believe. There is no race which is predisposed to being corrupted -- each race has the potential for evil. The daemons, however, are naturally inclined to magic, and many natural mages are born in this race.Shapeshifter: The shapeshifters are a specific sect of daemons which evolved to the ability to shift forms, as well as being predisposed to being born with other magic.Lycanthropes: In Maika Tenei, lycanthropy is passed on genetically, and not through biting. They come in about as many types as you would find different species of animals, including wolf, tiger, leopard, birds, etc.Vampires: Vampires are not necessarily dead, but they certainly do need either absorbed energy, blood, or both to survive. They are long-lived, seemingly immortal, and do not need to sleep in coffins. Although they don't burn in sunlight (okay, maybe a little bit of a sunburn, but nothing Aloe vera won't fix), they do prefer the night do to their nocturnal nature and sensitive eyes.Nymph: Nymphs are human-sized, if a bit short and youthful in appearance with a cute look to them. There are two types of nymphs, wood, and water. Wood nymphs have tan skin and usually are brunette with any assortment of natural-toned eye color. Water nymphs have pale skin, a variety of hair colors, and typically cool-colored eyes.Siren: Sirens are either male or female, contrary to popular belief. They are seductive, like incubi or succubi, but do not feed off of passionate energy. Rather, it's more like a hobby. They're best known for their attractive appearance and enchanting, spell-binding voices.*If you have any other type of race you'd like to be, it's probably okay, just ask first.

Rules:  1. No God-modding! Here, even the gods have weaknesses. Give Arc a gold bracelet embedded with white opals and he'll probably go comatose on you. Aries is an unbelievably talented fighter, but if you look at him funny in the hallway he'll trip.
2. Try to maintain at least a 4 line sentence.
3. If you wish for your character to be killed, he/she may request another member to do so.
4. Mild language is tolerable, especially if it is a character trait, but please don't overdo it.
5. You must check back fairly often, if you want to keep up.
6. If you have any kind of idea or a scheme, please post it in the OOC.
7. Even if you are playing a succubus or incubus, please keep it clean. Flirting is okay, hinting at things, but don't post explicit material, please. Nothing above PG-13.
8. Some of the teachers/assistants/Lamente have relationships among themselves, deep dark secrets, etc. If you'd like, feel free to spy on them, investigate, etc.
9. Please don't state that you are in a relationship with so-and-so, the Element of such-and-such, unless you run it by me. If you want to build a relationship with one of the characters above, you'll have to start from scratch.

Hair Color: Dark auburn, with some copper highlights, framing his face, cut at slightly below jaw-length.

Face type: Ahkra is exotic and beautiful in appearance, with slightly upturned eyes, dark green with no apparent pupils and arching brows just above, soft lips enticing any onlooker for a kiss. He has a straight, graceful nose, and a delicate jawline.
Eyesight: 20/20 - best in twilight or the dark, the worst in bright light.

Outfit/Clothing Style: Ahkra's style suggests his powerful title, usually with precious metals shining at his wrists and neck, and he uses it as an excuse to show off his body, usually wearing rather revealing clothes, such as a period-style transluscent shirt and suede or leather pants fitted by a laced up side, revealing a wide strip of skin from his hip down to his ankle. He tends to wear knee-high riding boots, and favors jewellery made from silver and dark stones, such as black opals.
Abnormalities: Ahkra does not appear to have pupils at all, only a green iris, but in actuality, his irises, which do not impair his vision, are translucent and shield a large, emerald pupil which gives him the ability to see in even the darkest conditions, though making him sensitive to bright light. Also, Ahkra has a split personality that he supresses to his full power - his Cold side. It's a defense mechanism, where he loses himself to violence and paranoia, and loses trust for anyone, lashing out against anyone who is there in different ways.
Distinguishing Marks: Ahkra is a shapeshifter, so these features may or may not appear on him. However, in his natural form, he has large, raven-like black wings and jackal ears.
First Impression On People: Most people are instantly attracted to or hate Ahkra. He appears as a mystery to most people, an enigma. Also, most people think of Ahkra as being a villian at first, since he has that sort of an attitude at times.

Body Type/Build: Ahkra is lean, well-toned, like a cat. Even the way he moves is unnaturally graceful, and is a dead-giveaway to the fact that he's not human.

Piercings or Tattoos: It depends on what he feels like for the day (being a shapeshifter). One thing that is constant is that, in his natural form, he has two tattoos which indicate his title. Arc'ehn, his lover, also shares the same tattoos, being his Element. (Together, they rule over Darkness in its entirety).
Voice Description: Ahkra has a soft, crooning voice, rich and seductive. He also has an unplaceable accent which is unique to him, and most people can recognize his voice instantly by it.
Personality
Social Views: Ahkra has always been a rule-breaker, and follows his own views of what is right and just. Even though he is Neutral, being born of the Lokoi, he sides himself with Virtue because it's the most-closely aligned to his own views of what is right. He's had quite a run confrontations with the Elements of Time and with Fate due to his constant rule-breaking which upsets the Balance, but doesn't seem to care. He cares more about helping on individual than worrying about how stable the universe is. Deep down, he cares very deeply for people and helps in any way that he can, however, being forsaken or hurt by so many people has caused him to become a bit cynical.
Least Favorite Type Of Person: Ahkra has a strong hatred of betrayers and anyone who would intentionally hurt another person for the sheer entertainment of it. He also despises his brother, who fits perfectly into both of these categories.
Parental Type: Ahkra is a very affectionate and protective father, and loves his children deeply (he has many), happily doing anything for them. His children mean everything to him, and he would do anything for them.
Affinity With…: Darkness, Ice, Jackals, Egypt, Crows, Silver, Black Opals.
Biggest Secret: Ahkra actually deals with severe depression and self-loathing, as well as identity-problems. He fears that he's no better than his brother Omin, and despises himself for anything he's ever done that has hurt someone. He's deeply afraid of losing those close to him, and for good reason. Many of his children have been reincarnated several times after being killed off by Omin. Ahkra also fears that he's not a true person, but just a cold spark of energy. Being an incarnation, he is comprised of power, rather than matter, and had to create a body for himself. He's also very much afraid of his split personality, his Cold side, because he has hurt those he cares about when he has lost control, and, the first time it happened (after almost being killed in the Temple of Sphinxes and being tained by Corruption), he killed the person he loved.
Fears: Losing those he loves, and losing control of his Cold state again.
Least Favorite Element: Corruption. Ahkra has a very powerful aversion to Corruption, even though he is technically Neutral, and it has adverse physical, psychological, and magical effects on him. Also, even though he likes the Element of Light, being the Incarnation of Darkness, he has an "allergy" to that kind of magic.
Children: From order of oldest to youngest: *Ko, Haku, Ledah, Malice, *Riu, *Sahro, Ein, Roy, *Aerik, *Ashrien, Creed, Jaques, *Dietrich, Wolfram, Oharae, Fayt, Mitzuki, Kaielle (adopted), Yuuri (son in law), Llveth (adopted), Aiden and Aya. (This list may be incomplete).
All starred indicate that they have died or been reincarnated at least once, and in the parentheses is their given name, by Arc and Ahkra, originally. There is a large difference in the genetics of all of Arc and Ahkra's children, as the two are shapeshifters. Ko and Haku are both dragons, for instance. This is due to the fact that having with an Incarnation is mechanically much different than it is for humans. It's a combination of energies, which incarnates into a new soul.
Also, they have a few twins. Ko and Haku, Roy and Sahro, Riu and Aerik, and Jaques and Dietrich. Creed and Ashrien have not only Ahkra and Arc as fathers, but also Sephir. Most all of their children are dark/grim angels, as well..

History:
Ahkra is a Lokoi being. The Lokoi, which existed before any universe was born, gave birth to the multiverse as well as two twins, Ahkra and Omin, who were comprised of pure power, and completely neutral. Ahkra tended towards Virtue, and Omin towards Corruption, and they have always had a fierce rivalry which evolved into hatred and an ageless feud. Ahkra was the Incarnation Darkness, and within him held the complete and total power of Death, Sleep, Dreams, and Seduction. Omin, on the other hand, was the Incarnation of Corruption, which most people call "evil".
When Ahkra fell in love with the Element of Light, a beautiful young boy, Omin tried to convert Ahkra to Corruption, but Ahkra, despite means of torture, did not relent, and so Omin had him thrown into the Sphinx Temple, which was said to destroy any immortal beyond revival. Remarkably, Ahkra survived, though no one knows how, and a shard of pure corruption was lodged inside of him during the event. Reacting to the Corruption inside of him, Ahkra's psyche went wild, lashing out against everything with rage and cruelty, suffering from the pain inside of him. His eyes changed from green to a dangerous crimson, and it's said that the change in his eyecolor was brought about by the predominance of the color around him, as he killed everyone in sight, and blood stained everything. A whole world was decimated, as well as the Council of Elements, his beloved killed at his own hands.
When the state, his Cold state, finally faded away, he was left truly broken, dismayed and in horror. After that point, Ahkra chanced from someone innocent and trusting to someone cynical and self-loathing, and fell into a deep depression. Not caring that it meant Omin would win, he tried everything possible to kill himself, but nothing would kill him. He was genuinely, truly immortal, and even Omin could not end his life. When, after a period of time, a new Council of Elements came about, Ahkra was deemed a Corrupt Incarnation, and too dangerous to be free, and so, not even bothering to fight his sentence, he accepted his fate to be sealed away forever. Darkness was announced a forsaken Element, a Corrupt Element.
While he was sealed away, his twin, Omin, was more or less the ruling power of the multiverse, as the Council was no match for him. After many, many generations of new Councils, the tragedy of Ahkra's homocide became faded with time, and people began to think that it was exaggerated. Eventually, it was decided that the risk of re-opening the seal was significantly less than letting Omin continue his reign, and Ahkra was released. Time may have washed the event away from the minds of others, but the pain has not relented at all in his heart, and even the Corruption inside of him, now gone, marred him with an ache in his chest which would never disappear. Ahkra was so forlorn even after the seal was released that he did not have the heart to even take a physical form, fight his brother, or anything.
The other Elements agreed that Ahkra was still potentially dangerous and that he needed someone to give him direction, and sought out Arc'ehn, a young boy who was destined to be the Element of Darkness and work together with Ahkra. Unfortunately, Arc'ehn was targetted by Omin and his lackey, Lia'Eryn. Being pure-hearted, the boy would not convert to Corruption, and Lia'Eryn resorted to physical and sexual torture, bringing the boy to the bring of death nearly every day. Still weary from the aeon-long seal, Ahkra slowly began to awaken again, horrified by what was happening to this young boy. When Lia'Eryn gave up on trying to convert the boy, and wounded him fatally, leaving him to die, Ahkra quickly mustered up a physical form based off of the boys. His hair was slightly darker, his eyes green instead of blue, and he was slightly taller, but they appeared like brothers. Desperate to save the boy, Ahkra poured his power into Arc, completing the bond between them, and healed him. Furious that this innocent boy had been hurt so badly for so many years, his rage literally tore down the castle as he walked out its doors, dangerous power hovering around the two protectively.
At first, Ahkra thought that Arc was the reincarnation of his beloved Element of Light, but it soon became apparent that Arc was his own person. However, just being with the boy, taking care of him, Ahkra slowly grew to love him, deeply, and strove to protect and take care of him. They've been together every since, and have had many children. He has a delicate nose and slightly pouting lips which are usually pulled up in a bright smile that lights up his features, his eyes wide and lovely with long, dark lashes, under delicately arched brows.
Eyesight: Arc has very good eyesight, but does sometimes wear reading glasses if he is working up-close for a long amount of time, to reduce the strain on his eyes.

Personality
Arc tends to be shy and soft-spoken, but also very friendly. He's very open and trusting, to a fault, and is very emotionally vulnerable because of this. Most people perceive him to have almost a victim personality, in that he would be easy to victimize because he doesn't stand up for himself out of fear. Arc has an endless ability to love, and is very pure-hearted and innocent in nature. He's very diplomatic and easy to talk to, and tends to be optimistic.
Teamwork Ability: Arc is a natural follower, but he also willingly gives advice, to the best of his ability, to anyone who asks.
Social Views: Arc believes in the good in people, and has a very hard time believing that a person can be bad, down to the core, which goes against even his own experience, being the victim of rape, abuse, and torture many times over.
Parental Type: Arc is very kind, and almost a push-over, as a parent. He would do anything for his children, and loves them from the bottom of his heart. He's also always there for any of his kids to talk to, if they need someone to talk to.

Hobbies: Scribing and translating texts, playing the violin, singing, sewing, reading, and being with those he loves, whether to talk to them or to take a cuddly nap.
Biggest Secret: Arc didn't warm up to Ahkra at first, too overwhelmed by the torture he had gone through and unable to understand his own emotions. He accepted Ahkra's friendship readily, but pushed away his love for quite sometime before realizing that he was desperately in love, and that pushing Ahkra away hurt both of them terribly. Arc regrets not having given him the chance sooner, and would do anything for Ahkra, loving him deeply and eternally.
Fears: Losing those close to him, being tortured.
Comforts: Being with someone he loves, and most of all, curling up close to them while they sleep.
Miscellaneous Information
Favorite Color: Blue, Green
Favorite Animal: Arc loves animals dearly, especially jackals, and most felines, canines, and birds.
Least Favorite Element: Corruption. Arc also is "allergic" to light magic, as well as stones and metals aligned with the Element of Light. It's so bad that if he's exposed to enough of it, within a day or two, he'll slip into a coma.
Soft Spot/Vulnerability: Soft Spots: Arc is very sensitive to touch, especially rubbing behind his jackal ears, which aren't always out, or between/underneath his wings. Even something like stroking his hair or back, though, calms him quickly, and puts him at ease. Vulnerability: Arc comes off as being a very vulnerable person, and in a lot of respects, he is. He's easily victimized because he lacks the courage to stand up for himself, and is emotionally fragile.

History:
Arc was born from a one-night stand between his father (a wood nymph), and his unstable mother (a Siren). His mother forgot about his father after that night, until many months later, when she realized she was pregnant. Horrified, she fell into a terrible depression, not even knowing who the father was. When she gave birth to Arc, she could see the delicate wood nymph features mixed with the Siren heritage, and instantly remembered his father. Abandoning her newborn, she hunted down the father, and killed him in cold blood, before taking her own life.
Taking pity on the poor child, Pyra, the Element of Fire retrieved him, and took him back to the Council of Elements to raise him. Arc grew up quickly, and was a bright, cheerful child with bright, happy blue eyes and the purest smile. He loved learning, and dove headfirst into any book he could get his hands on, studying history and magic both. He loved the Elements dearly, and was grateful of them as well as in awe of them.
His joy was immeasurable, when it was announced that he would become a new Element - one that had been sealed away for aeons. Proud to join his family in rank, he happily took on the rank of the Element of Darkness, by now a prodige in magic and knowledge, and a darkling in power. However, his joy faltered into uncertainty, when he visited towns, and heard rumors about a Corrupt Element being reawakened. Darkness, the Forsaken Element. He became a bit more self-conscious about it, then, and shortly after the Incarnation of Darkness (Ahkra) was reawakened, Omin's right-hand lackey took Arc by force, killing or banishing most of the Council. Arc was fifteen.
For two years, Arc was kept as Lia'Eryn's prisoner, and she tried her hardest to corrupt the boy. At first, she tried tempting him with power, but the pure-hearted boy refused adamantly, dedicated to Virtue. When it became apparent that the boy's morality was impenetrable, she resorted to torture. Still, the boy would not give in to corruption even as he began to break, enduring emotional, physical, and sexual torture every day, lacking sleep and sustinence, his immortality strained to its limits.
After two years, even immortality could not save him, and his depression had become so deeply ingrained in his mind that the combination of psychosomaticism and torture overwhelmed his body completely, and he was dying.
Ahkra, the Incarnation, had started to awaken more fully, sensing the boy's plight, and created a physical form in order to save the boy, healing him completely and destroying the place, taking Arc somewhere safe. Taking care of the boy, extremely protective over him, Ahkra began to fall in love with him, and would often hold him close, but for a long time, everytime Ahkra leaned in to kiss him, Arc would bow his head or turn away, confused by his own feelings, and still emotionally raw from what Lia'Eryn had done to him. After awhile, though, Arc no longer had the heart to turn him away - it hurt the boy to see the sadness in Ahkra's eyes, and so, he timidly accepted Ahkra's love, kissing him softly (leading to other things), and found out that love was much different from the brutal tortures he'd undergone, that Ahkra was gentle and sweet to him, and cared about him. He fell hopelessly in love with the man, to the point of being dependent on him emotionally, and they have spend almost no time apart ever since.

Kael is an albino, and has the palest shade of ivory skin, like cream, and short-ish snow-white hair coming down to frame his delicate face, curling up around the edges slightly. He's very slender and has a very light build, as is typical of elves, and very graceful, serene features. Most people, upon seeing him, regard him as being utterly, breath-takingly beautiful, as well as exotic for his albinism.

Outfit/Clothing Style: Kael dresses very efficiently for the weather and his task at hand. History:
Kael was born a Drow, but even from birth, it was obvious that something was very different about him. Most drow have indigo-to-black skintones, white hair, and bright eyes, but Kael was an albino, and his skin was a milky white, with snow-colored hair and the palest blue eyes. Instantly it was recognized that he was the prophesized White Drow, Spirit Incarnate. Most of his people were awed, honored to give rise to an Element, much less an Incarnation, and his mother became like royalty, for she had given birth to this miracle child.
However, not everyone was happy about the rise of the White Drow. Some refused to acknowledge him, as he was male, and in Drow Society females are revered and males are seen as lesser, weaker. Others did not want to see the Council of Elements restored, and were aligned with Corruption. The two revolted, and started an attack against the rest of the Drow Society, as well as Kael's mother, and she was forced to flee the city with Kael, still a baby.
She fled many, many miles South from the Deinnan Wilderland, into the forested country of Kichaita, and the town of Carvinhel, whose inhabitants were decended from Sun Elves, the Drow's sworn enemy. Desperate to save her child, at least, she went into the city, and begged them to take him in as their own, because death was coming to find her, and if Kael was with her, he would die, too. She told him that he had a high destiny of serving Virtue, and that for that sake, if nothing else, he needed to live.
The people of Carvinhel, isolated from the Sun Elves further north, were not even aware of the feud between Sun Elves and the Drow, and so agreed to take Kael in, offering a place to stay for his mother as well. She declined, knowing that the rebel Drows were hot on her tail, and not wanting ruin to come to the village, and left under cover of night. A few days later, after leading the others around on a false trail, she was caught and killed.
Kael blended in much better growing up with the Sun Elves than he did with the Drow. His features were enough to earn him curiosity and social awkwardness, but not enough to start any sort of gossip to other towns. Raised alongside a Sun Elf named Faolan (who became a good friend to him), Kael was trained in the warrior's academy there (Hiffisa Cenda) and quickly rose to the ranks of prodige. He slept very little and at odd hours, for his nocturnal tendencies, as a Drow, had been deeply disrupted by his diurnal habits while living with the Sun Elves. He had a hard time sleeping at night, because that was when he should have been active, but couldn't sleep during the day, either.
Either because he felt he didn't fit in or for other reasons, Kael was diagnosed with sociopathy, and had a hard time relating to other people at all, or thinking about personal or social repercussions. The teasing he got for his complexion slightly annoyed him, and he delt with the people who said things like that, but without emotions. He cared very little for his own health, and tended to ignore any wounds or injuries he got, landing him in the medical center (Yuulis Cenda) enough times to be able to get to know the prodige there, Esqyn, very well. The two became friends, and Esqyn looked out for Kael's health.
When his powers as the Incarnation of Spirit began to awaken, Kael's sociopathy was disintegrated by the compassionate and empathetic nature of his power (Spirit), and he became a very powerful, sensitive Empath. Unless he hides them, Kael has a unicorn's tail (in appearance similar to a white lion's tail) and ethereal, iridecent wings due to being the Incarnation of Spirit.
Becoming an empath was a bit hard on Kael, and he still is somewhat emotionally unsure of himself, since he's not used to it. As the Incarnation of Spirit, he became incredibly powerful, but still maintains an emotional weakness, and has been preyed upon by the Lamente of Spirit (his Corrupt counterpart) mercilessly, put through multiple means of torture, and went through a terrible, abusive relationship with a girl named Teresa which left him emotionally broken.
After being tossed away by Teresa, though, he met Aries. The two became quick friends, and Aries was cheerful, witty, and supported Kael without break, and all too soon, Kael found himself falling deeply in love with Aries. Still traumatized from his past relationship, though, he was terrified of his emotions, of being rejected and alone again, but Aries picked up on the signs fairly quickly that Kael loved him, and confronted the Drow about it.
Kael broke down, afraid, but Aries gave his usual grin, and simply said: "Well, I'm getting pretty tired of dating girls, after Aphrodite" (who dumped him for "not being pretty enough" despite the fact that Aries and his brother Phobos are the two most attractive of the Olympian gods). Since then, the two have only ever grown closer and closer, and when Kael was struck by a curse, struggling both emotionally and physically because of it, Aries proposed to him. Kael's happiness at being able to marry Aries overwhelmed the powers of the curse, and he got better within a couple of days.

History: Luce was the Incarnation of Light for almost as long as Ahkra has been around - since the First Council of Elements (Gods). In fact, the two used to be lovers in the past. However, one of Omin's (Ahkra's twin brother) attempts to murder Ahkra ended in the latter going insane, and Ahkra had a homocidal breakdown, killing the other gods and decimating the populations of worlds. When Ahkra woke up, he had no memory of it, but found that he had killed Luce as well. Ahkra was devastated, knowing that with such a powerful eradication, even parallels of Luce in other worlds must have been killed. As it turns out, there were enough very small pieces of Luce left between all of his parallels in different worlds that the spark of his old power collected them slowly, and pieced them together, making a whole Incarnation once again, albeit a mismatched and fractured one. Description: Aries is undeniably attractive, and has been known as a bit of a play-boy. He's got a lean, athletic body, and smooth tan skin. His hair is the purest shade of red, and tends to do its own thing, stuck between wavy and straight, cut between his jawline and shoulder and parted in the middle. His eyes, usually reflecting mischief, are yellow, in striking contrast to his skin-tone. He has no problem with showing off his body, usually wearing pants and boots but no shirt.
Personality: Aries is a bit lazy, tending to take naps in the middle of the floor and accidentally trip people, but when he decides to do something, he gives it everything he's got. He took over the council of Olympic Gods in Zeus' place, and constantly worked at making it better ever since. He's very protective of those he cares about, even possessive, and is extremely loyal. The other thing about Aries' powers is that they only work when he's in a fight. While fighting, he is absolutely graceful, his movements precise and deadly, but outside of battle, he is a total and complete klutz, often tripping over air, or his own feet.
Aries is very flirtatious and seductive by nature, and absolutely loves making Kael blush and teasing him with telling him what he'd like to do to him later. He loves taking control in intimate situations, but also just loves teasing Kael with words, and is an expert at "talking dirty". Brief History: During Aries' mortal life, he went between being a gladiator, a captain in the army, and any other warrior's position. He became famous among his peers for being absolutely unbeatable in combat, however some people became jealous and hateful towards him because of it. He lived until his early twenties, when more than a dozen resentful warriors and veterans ambushed him and killed him, stabbing him through the windpipe among other areas whereupon he suffocated to death while being pinned down. It's the reason why his neck is so sensitive, though being with Kael has turned it into a good type of sensitive, rather than bad.
The power that had been dormant inside of Aries resurfaced, and the Elements recognized that he was the new Element of Conflict. Ahkra ressurected him, which altered his haircolor (from dark brown to blood red) and his eyecolor (light brown to pure yellow), and he was immortalized. Aries came to be associated as one of the Greek and Roman gods (his name among Romans is Mars). He was a bit of a playboy, and had an on-again-off-again girlfriend: Aphrodite. He fathered quite a few children, including Romulus and Remus, who went to found Rome, but Aphrodite didn't treat him very well, always taking him for granted, insulting him, and going between ignoring him and not letting him do anything without her. More than half-a-year ago, Aries disappeared from their home entirely, his stuff still there, just as it had been the last time he was in the house, and the same day he disappeared he was absent from the council of Olympian gods, which was very unlike him. No one has heard of him since, and it's very likely that the Lamente are involved. Chloe even suggests that one of them might have kidnapped him in order to try to turn him to their side using torture.
Some more information about Aries is that he has two siblings: Eris (a reincarnation of Ko, one of Ahkra's kids) the Goddess of Discord, and Phobos the Incarnation of Fear (very pretty and sweet young man, but technically insane and prone to constant panic attacks). Also, Ahkra managed to convince Aries to make him one of his angels - an Angel of War - in order to protect him, since Aries has no other Angels to support him. Because of this, though, Ahkra is constantly trying to get into Aries' pants. Kael doesn't mind too much - he has angels of his own, so he knows it is technically necessary, and Aries pays much more attention to him anyway (he has more of a rival-friend relationship with Ahkra, since Ahkra ends up pushing his buttons by flirting with him). Also, Aries has a short temper, and is not very diplomatic. He tends to get into arguments, and sometimes all out fights, and it's been known in the past for Aries to go to a bar for a drink and have the whole place erupt into fighting just from his presence.

As a member of the Lamente, he was picked on by everyone, and punished (tortured) often, so he fears many of the other members of the Lamente, and especially fears Omin. History: Not much is known about Chloe's past, but he was previously a member of the Lamente, a Corrupt group working directly for Omin. However, he had many traumatic experiences there, and was picked on constantly, which is what led him to leaving. When he left, having nowhere to go, he sought out the Virtuous Elements, although he received somewhat of an icy welcoming, since they thought he was still a member of the Corrupt group. Eventually they realized he had no bad intentions (although he was unable to hold himself back around many of the young men there) and after learning that he had run from the organization, they took him into their protection against Omin. Appearance: He has a distinctly mysterious aura about him. Always wearing black, and with his black blindfold that covers his eyes because of his blindness. His hair is chin length and silver in color, but his skin tone is quite pale.
Personality: Erebos is, like Chloe, Gray rather than Corrupt. He is outside of the range of virtue and corruption, and can't be defined by either, being more neutral.
He follows his own morals, though few understand them. Erebos is a rather quiet person, who doesn't speak very often--the opposite of Chloe. When he does speak though, everyone listens, because Erebos is not only possibly the most powerful of the Lamente beneath Omin, but very insightful and wise, almost like an oracle or prophet.
He would give advice on such things as strategies for gaining an item or other goals, but if the mission was outside of what his morals were comfortable with, he would say nothing. Once in a while he would fight alongside the others, when it felt to him to be justified, but he usually stays behind.
Erebos is blind, but because of his aforementioned psychic abilities, he sees clearly - in fact even better than those with perfect vision. Deep down, he despises the other Lamente other than Chloe, and hates Omin as well. He both despises and greatly fears Askleptos, for Askleptos has taken Chloe as a "pet" to cut up and torture on more than one occassion, and a few times has gotten his hands on Erebos as well. Ever being in that situation terrifies Erebos deep down, despite the fact that almost nothing scares Erebos normally.
History: No one is really sure why Erebos joined the Lamente, or even whether he actually has. After Chloe was beaten badly one day, he just arrived, and despite the constant questioning and even attacks from the others, he didn't speak, and defended himself easily, not even needing to pay attention to them to do so. He came and went, following some unknown schedule of his, not really paying heed to any orders the others tried to give him.
Erebos has always been somewhat subtly protective of Chloe. Whenever the others punished him, he would attack them without explanation or warning, and take Chloe away with him, and hold him close so he could rest and relax. The two have kissed and gone further even, on a couple of occassions, but Chloe is worried since he doesn't know if Erebos was just letting Chloe satiate his incubus needs or if there really was something deep between them, especially since Erebos doesn't mind either way if Chloe chooses to play with someone else. It seems like Erebos understands that it's Chloe's nature, and that Chloe won't abandon him or stop caring. The two are very close friends, as well.

Lucas is a very strong individual, and doesn't like sharing his feelings with anyone other than with someone he can trust that will never harm him with what he says. And with that he's got very little trust in people in doesn't know, and considers everyone is always out there to get him which causes him to be uptight in public places. But the only time he's never uptight and overly serious is when he's with Amber, because he knows she's the only person he could possibly trust more than anyone else. Although his trust is somewhat challenged, he tries his best to make friends with people he doesn't know, it's something that both he and Amber have in common.

Sam is a bit different when it comes to his personality, and has two different sides that coexist with each other but causes him to change upon the varied situation.
Normal Side: Sam is quite comfortable around a lot of people, and easily opens up. He does, however, keep a lot of secrets to himself that he wouldn't want people to know. But as a downside to his normal exterior he is sometimes shy, and/or nervous around new people or particular people. He does his best to keep his parents happy, and is very compassionate about others he finds in trouble or in need of a helping hand.
Different Side: When he is in this personality side he is a lot different. Sam is suddenly a very upfront, courageous, and somewhat daring. Suddenly barely cares about people, but still does to a degree, and loves getting into fights with people. He begins to get a bit possessive, and easily angered in this stage as well.
History: He was born into the family with his father Lucas Williams, and his mother Amber Rosenberg, but also his second mother who broke away from the family (but still adores) is Renee Blackwell. Each of his parents were magically gifted, and born as fire angels which result in his large red wings that match his hair.
But unlike normal children who grow up by each year, he grew up in a matter of a month to the age he is now. History: He was born in Shinjuku, and his parents were just out of highschool when he was born. They named him, ironically, after their hometown; Shinju. He was kept by both his real parents until he was about five years old, and they never showed any signs in not wanting him. They spoiled him rotten, and he learned to liked people quite a lot because of their kind care. He was a very talkative five year old, and extremely friendly then. But then they refused to keep him, for reasons he still doesn't understand, and he was given up for adoption. He was adopted by a family of mages, the Kazuhiko's, where as they still claim to know he has potential in the art of magic. Shin was taught how to use protective spells, the defensive kind, and hasn't managed to find someone who can break his barrier. His barrier of sorts has been made of pure physical energy, and mental focus, which surrounds him as a bright sky blue outline of his entire being. Appearance: Amune is often seen with slightly tapered ears and a pale, moonlight complexion. While his ShapeShifting abilities are still quite inadequate he has no trouble changing his appearance. He can, for now, perfectly transform into a lean black cat, but no more. One thing he does not have control over is his own hair and eye coloration. It changes with environment. He was born with black hair and blue eyes, but it was soon afterwards that his hair and eyes shifted colors due to the windy, altogether airy environment. These days it has become even more drastic, changing colors simply from entering and leaving buildings. His natural born colors are becoming increasingly rare, only showing up when the weather is just right. However, many see his other seasonal colors, such as in the winter (if there is snow), his hair becomes white and his eyes become pink.
Other examples include blonde hair and lemon eyes, if he was left in a desert-like area; different shades of green hair and brown eyes if in a jungle or forest environment; and sometimes red hair and orange hued eyes if the autumn days are right.

Personality: Amune seems to be just a normal Shapeshifter on sight, but that is far from the truth. His past has left him slightly mentally unstable and he is prone to drastic mood swings and near personality changes. In a stable, calm environment he can be kind, happy, and very friendly. He can nearly always be seen with a smile on his face. He often acts quite childish, seeking praise from his elders and contact from his peers. In a dangerous situation he can become the fighter you are glad to have on your team—for he becomes ruthless and rather mean. He is protective of those he cares about and can’t bear to see any of his comrades fall. When he becomes melancholy his body nearly shuts down and it can take him hours, or even days, for him to mobilize himself again. He is a skilled “subject dodger” and will not speak of anything of his past, though one may be able to hear snippets of it in normal conversation if you are paying attention. Amune also has the tendency to be a little sarcastic and spiteful if he feels the need. More often than not, a quick and harsh word can put him in his place easily.
Distinguishing marks/behaviors: The hundreds of scars and the brand mark reading “4457834” is a sure sign that Amune is himself. Also, he is nearly always smiling and stands up very straight, taking advantage of his unimpressive height. When he is not feeling up to par, or is not himself mentally, it is more than easy to tell.
Habits: Amune will physically chew his tongue to literally bite back comments if he must. A nervous habit of his is to rock back and forth if he is sitting and rub the toes of his shoes together if he is standing. When wanting to ask a question he will tap the tips of his index fingers together. If he is waiting he will fidget. He is, altogether, a very readable, predictable person.

History: Amune’s parents were killed when he was young child and he was found by slave traders who made good use of him. He was wild spirit and often caused a lot of trouble, and therefore he was beaten often. A trader named him “Pip”, ignoring his real name. The others also called him “Steel Rose”. A Steel Rose is a welt or scar that has marred the skin after a beating with a whip of barbed wire. Not only is it the worst beating one can take, but it lowers the value of a slave. Amune took many of these.
Amune was one of the eldest among the slave children and became a figure for them to look up to. Unfortunately, one by one, they were all sold. Some were even killed in the camps. Amune was one of the only ones to survive. For a long time he feared the sight of blood.
As he aged he realized the powers of magic he had. He had often been unable to use them or Shapeshift, and learning that he could do it quite freely gave him hope. One night a beating sent him into a wild frenzy and, using his newly discovered abilities…he escaped the hold of the traders. Realizing he would not get away permanently unless he disappeared, Amune abandoned his true name and began to call himself “Cal” after his surname “Calstonnon” in honor of his slain father.
He began to travel, and when he was in his teen years a family took him in. He got therapy of sorts and was able to get a little more handling on himself. He learned numerous types of combat, with his fists and weapons, and then learned of the school, Saekii.

In social regards, he is like a judge, weighing the actions of others. He will not forget an offense, nor a kind action. By a large, he comes off as impassive, dark and cold. It is a cruel cold world about him, and he knows it. Yet he strives against it, albeit mainly within the confines of his own mind. The result has been that he has become a far more withdrawn individual.
Not much is known of what passes behind the hard façade of his face, but this much is known. He seeks revenge and is not to be taken lightly as he is a most dedicated and skilled individual, capable of seemingly impossible feats. History: Born in Manchester, England on October 24th. His family was a collection of both Daemons, and Shapeshifters. (At which to him is a very messed up combination.) Only his elders were normal raced, whereas himself and his siblings were nevertheless a mixed race between the two. He studied magic behind his parents backs, even though it was a given that he was more inclined for it. They ignored every possibility of what type of magic he studied, and it seemed they could have cared less if he studied the lighter sides of magic to begin with. And he would often times be at the library instead of at home, keeping to himself even if he was there, and hiding his books from prying eyes.
Until one day he was home, by chance, and hiding under his bed with a flashlight and one of his many books in the dead of night. And he heard somebody break into the house downstairs while everyone else missed it while in slumber. He tried one of the many darker, and quite harder, spells to destroy the person but it only bounced off the person. The man who broke in struck back with his own powerful magic that knocked him unconscious, and woke the rest of his family. His family tried to stand up against the man in the night but were unable to, being fatigued and suddenly outnumbered shortly after Jackal was sent unconscious. And when he came to, several hours later, he saw that his family had been slain by magic he swore to learn the right way. His father and mother were askew on the staircase with deep wounds, and his two sisters were on the first floor from what appeared to be a fall to their death off the railing of the staircase.
On his own he managed to get a solid job for two years to keep his house along with his parents money after their deaths. Until he caught word of a magic school that could possibly help him learn more, but to control more power for his purpose. He had a grudge against the person who killed his family, and the man who thought Jackal was killed to that night. And going to Saekii, he believes, is his last chance at becoming stronger than the evil who did him wrong and get ultimate revenge.

History:  Hand-written notes on the lecture given by Ahkra, the head-master of the school and Incarnation of Darkness, on the history of how the worlds came about, and the characteristics of magic. You read the following:
I, and all of the teachers here, are considered to be gods by most mortals. That's a bit of a misnomer. Gods, by definition are perfect, flawless beings with incomprehensible power. This being so, gods do not exist. However, there are the Incarnations, and bound to them, the Elements. Bound to them in turn are the Angels. You see, while we hold power that most cannot divine, we are neither perfect, nor flawless in any regard. And though we are immortal, we can be killed, although by means far exceeding what would be fatal to a mortal. For some of us, the conditions under which we can be destroyed are so severe that it may as well be considered impossibe.
To some, it's a frightening concept that we are not perfect. However, I think that the alternative is far more terrifying. If the forces that swayed the worlds lacked even a spark of emotion or compassion, the result would surely be a hell of ice. We have weaknesses, fears, dreams. We each have the potential to be good, or evil, although some have tendencies. Some of us are neither, like myself, although in habit I am virtuous.
I suppose I should back track a bit, though. In the beginning, there was the Lokoi. This was before Time began, before any world was born, or anyone. There was nothing. Neither order nor chaos, neither time nor space. No energy. There was only the Lokoi. The Lokoi was and is everything, and it is what everything is born from. It's sentient on a higher level than any of us can comprehend, and contained the raw ethers from which everything came, so pure that the ethers, that pure power, had no association whatsoever. It was neither dark nor light, neither good nor evil. It was still for a very long time, and nothing changed, but something happened to disturb it. When it was disturbed, it started to move, react - violently. Small pieces broke off, tiny fragments. In comparison, they were hundreds of times smaller, relatively, than a grain of salt would be compared to a sun. However, that size of a fragment holds power than few can even comprehend. Those fragments, like the Lokoi, were sentient, powerful. Neither good, nor evil, but something else entirely. Although it's hardly a perfect description, they are called Gray. The Children of the Lokoi. Neutral, some people call them, although they aren't quite that, either.
From one of them came the multiverse, from which an infinite number of worlds were born. From another, came Time. One of the fragments, slightly larger than the others, broke into three, and became three siblings.
I was one of them. The other two are my siblings, Omin, and Zylphia. On the outside, I look like just another immortal. Able to shift shape, physical in nature, flawed and emotional. But I created this body for myself. My true form is that of pure, intelligent energy. There is so much of it that I cannot, no matter how hard I try, stuff it into my body. Rather, the intelligent center is what's housed in this body. The soul which controls the rest of that energy, which is so vast that it is scattered throughout all the worlds. Darkness. I am every shadow, every darkened night, dream, and wanton thought.
Despite being Gray, and generally doing what I please, I am virtuous, though, by choice, if not by nature. However, my twin, Omin, is the exact opposite, and delights in torture, killing, and destruction. He has killed nearly all of my children. Some of them several times. They're all around now, but most of them have had to be reborn several times.
Time is also akin to me, in that she takes a physical form, but is much more than that. Her name is Lea. Despite being Children of the Lokoi, though, we are also what we call Incarnations. We are a force in nature, partially coalesced into a physical form. There are others, though, for the multiverse, which was also a fragment, continued to break down into smaller fragments. Some of the people born into the worlds were a fragment unto themselves, and of the same nature as us, if not quite as powerful. There are many incarnations. Time, Darkness, Corruption, Light, Fire, Water, Spirit, Air, Luck, etc. They are exactly the force in nature that their name implies. It's not that they are gods that control it, they actually are that power, in its entirety.
Apart from the Incarnations, though, there are also the Elements. The Elements assist Incarnations. They protect them, guide them, stay by their side. An Element is bound, by soul, to an Incarnation. An Element is the person, out of all the multiverse, who is most compatible with the power which is the Incarnation. For instance, my Element is Arc, the most Dark-compatible person in existence, if you will, the most powerful Dark mage. More than that, because of an Element's compatibility, he or she can actually house his respective Incarnation if they shift to energy form. Kael was actually born with Elan inside of him, all along channeling Elan's power as if it were his own, their souls bound together. It can be that way for any of us. There is more than that, too. There are those that help Elements, as well, and are also granted immortality. They're called Angels, commonly. As many types as there are Incarnations and Elements. Grim Angels, which are mine, Fire Angels, Water Angels, Spirit Angels, and on and on.
I, and any of the Incarnations, can take any form. Literally. I could be a chair if I wanted to, although I don't see why I would. Elan prefers the form of a ferret, Luce a cat, and I... prefer the form of an incubus. However, we are not limited to those forms in any way. If you incinerated me, pulled every single atom apart in my body, degraded the very essence and components that build his body into nothing, I would not die. This body is a shell to me. One which I cares for quite a bit, but which if needed, can be replaced. If you destroyed this body, it is relatively easy for me to almost instantaneously rebuild a new one for myself.
Now then, just as there are the Elements, my brother, Omin, has formed a mirror group, named the Lamente, who are nearly as powerful, if not as powerful, as the Virtuous Elements gathered here. They are a force to be feared, although also, in my opinion, a force to be pitied. For no matter how obediently they serve him, he tortures them in ways I dare not fathom or recall, daily, in order to 'ensure their loyalty'. Far from it, if they ever get the chance, most flee from him. There are three ex-members of that group residing in this keep now, even. Chloe, Ephaelia, and Erebos, each of them Gray. They are generally good people, however as with any Gray person, you still have to be careful.
You have all come here to study magic, the science and manipulation of matter and energy, to be precise. Energy takes may forms, has it's own tendencies and alignments, and magic can only be worked well if you work with these in mind. Within each of you, and within every person is a vast sea of energy. Your soul, as plentiful and energetic as a radiant star. Your energy, which resides in you and allows you to think and live, has certain properties, due to the continual fragmentation and inheritance of Lokoi shards. Many of these properties parallel to a force in nature. Fire, water, darkness, light, air or weather, luck, earth, chaos, spirit, and so many, many more, although those are the main categories. Some people have more than one alignment, such as darkness and fire, light and luck, chaos and weather, although the possibilities are endless. If you wish to at all competent in wielding magic, you must work with your natural alignment, not against it, or you will pay with your very health.
Many people know about magic, but not about exactly how it works. There are three ways to work magic: directly, sympathetically, or a combination of these two. Also, most people don't stick to just one method, but switch between them. If you are naturally inclined, you may use magic directly from the energy already residing within you, using your very soul. This isn't nearly as detrimental as you would think. Your soul produces its own energy, and you would have to preform powerful magic to overcome that balance and seriously injure yourself. You must take caution, but most magic will not endanger you in that regard. If you must use an extreme amount of power, you will probably use sympathetic magic. Using the magic already residing in you, the natural alignment of your soul and it's radiant glow, sometimes called an aura, you can align it to energies surrounding you, and use those. There is energy everywhere. In every stone, every blade of grass, every breath of air, flash of light, drop of water. Everywhere. Sympathetic magic is the manipulation of energy around you using a resonance between your natural energy and the surrounding energy.
Obviously this is a very popular approach, and although most people use a combination of direct and sympathetic magic, sympathetic magic seems to predominate. However, there is one thing you must keep in mind. Given that you already have a natural alignment, and that it is to important, conflicts with it can be harmful. You see, when I say that energy resides in every stone, the type varies. If you are a Light mage, and you pick up a nice chunk of hematite, a darkstone, not only will you be virtually unable to preform even the simplest magic, but you will feel terrible, and prolonged exposure will make you severely ill. However, if you were to pick up a sunstone, your magic would be greatly amplified, and you would feel terrific. That applies even to us. I avoid yellow gold, white opals, and sunstones, some of the most powerful ores for light energy. Some stones are neutral, some are mutually beneficial for the most part, such as silver, or white gold.

The Elements: Light - If you wield light magic, you will be naturally proficient at healing and restoring lost energy. Your power has a radiant nature, and you will gain the manipulation and conjuring of light in its entirety. If you use it for combat, when your majic hits a target to be destroyed, it will be like a small sun igniting inside of them, and they will be disintegrated in the resulting rays. Darkness - If you wield dark magic, you will be able to master control over shadows, including having them step out and become solid to aid you in a fight, or alter your surroundings. You will also have power over sleep and dreams, being able to enter other's dreams and usually control them, as well as control whether they sleep or not. This is a pretty handy trick - if you're fighting an enemy, you can just put them to sleep. You will also be able to charm people, and attract them to you. Fire - This one is pretty self-explanitory. You will be able to summon and manipulate fire in all of its forms. Normal fire, heatless fire, and dark (lightless) fire. You can warm up a person or your surroundings, purge objects and people with heatless fire (to rid them of poisons, etc), or do it to yourself. Water - Again, pretty self-explanitory. Water wielders tend to be naturally proficient at healing as well, if not quite to the degree of light mages. You will be able to summon and manipulate water. You can also manipulate water in the air, to a degree, giving you some control over summoning and controlling mist and fog as well. You will be especially good at healing people of impurities and poisons when healing.  Earth - Someone who wields Earth has the ability to manipulate both the ground (stone or dirt) and plants. You can make plants grow in whatever fashion you please wherever you wish, even if you're on the fifteenth floor, you could make an adult cedar tree grow out of midair, latched onto the tower. This is particularly handy because you can instantaneously grow herbs for healing, antidotes, and poisoning. Usually if you want to be an Earth mage, you're going to want to specialize in herbal medicine. You can also control vines for combat, though (or slippery moss, etc). Also, you have the ability to manipulate the ground itself, it's shape especially. If you're fighting on the ground, your opponent has a very steep disadvantage, since you can reshape the landscape on a whim to squewer them if you want. You can also bring up ores and gemstones from deep in the Earth.  Air/Weather - This one is pretty straight-forward. You are able to manipulate mist, fog, clouds, wind, precipitation (rain, hail, sleet, etc), lightning, dust devils, and potentially up to monsoons, tornados, and hurricanes. However, if you summon up a tornado, please keep in mind the consequences (it will destroy everything in the immediate vicinity except for you).  Luck - If you are naturally inclined towards luck magic, you are able to control the possibilities surrounding you. If someone throws a spear at you and has pretty good aim, they might have an 85% chance of hitting you. But because of your nature, if you notice (or if you've been trained as a Luck mage and don't notice), that chance will probably reduce to something like 0.05%. More of, you can control extreme coincidences. Such as, the chance that the same spear will ricoche off of the metal wall design and hit the attacker would normally be extremely slim (lets say 0.01%), now due to your influence, the chances of it hitting them has now changed to 95%. This is a pretty versatile, if somewhat abstract, form of magic.  Chaos - Chaos magic is quite similar to luck magic, and actually luck magic is a sub-alignment to chaos. If you are a chaos mage, you have almost complete control (if you want it) over coincidences and rare occurances. Something unexpected. You probably have a wild and unpredictable, energetic personality. You can point to a chair and have it crumple, the poor person sitting on it tumbling in confusion to their butt. You can summon randomly, and whatever you randomly summon will "happen" to help you quite a bit, but in a very unpredictable way. You might summon an elephant, and it squashes your opponent.  Spirit - In wielding spirit magic, you can manipulate people's souls (usually to heal someone whose soul has been degraded or fractured by a curse or something else) or regenerate a portion of someone's soul. Also, it involves the manipulation of half-dimensions, which are not considered to be real space-time, but sort of an inbetween. If you can manipulate those, you can create and control small pseudoworlds, without their own life, although these usually have a short(ish) lifespan, since half-dimensions are a bit unstable and tend to disintegrate on their own. This application can be used for illusions which are real enough to injure or shield someone, or to be able to reach through or walk through solid objects and control your own corporeality, and chose what you wish to touch. If someone had been shot, you could reach through their body without them feeling a thing or being hurt by it, grab the bullet, and pull it out. It's sort of like a ghost state.  Rune - Runic magic would probably be a secondary one, rather than a primary one, and is magic defined by Lokoi runes, whose meaning is vast and constantly changing. This doesn't mean that you have to write anything down to cast it (although it does strengthen it quite a bit), but your power itself, if seen, will have wisp-like runes floating in it. It's an older, more neutral and versatile magic. That means that, where it doesn't have very specific properties in and of itself, it can take the form of another type of energy (fire, water, etc)).  Space/Time - In this, if you become proficient, you can manipulate space and time itself. You can manipulate and conjure wormholes (portals between worlds), slow, speed-up, or stop time for a short while, and separate planes. This is a bit difficult to explain, but if someone has ended up with an energy parasite inside of them, say a black winged serpent, and you're having difficulty getting it out (they tend to latch onto the heart as an anchor), you can separate the planes they are in. Which is to say, you can dictate that the victim is in one dimension, and the serpent is in another, and then they are separated.

Floorplan: Here you'll find a list of discovered rooms on each of the major parts of the keep. You can go to any of these rooms, or search for new ones.*** Main Levels  Kitchen 1: Although huge in size, this dining hall/kitchen doesn't have too much out of the ordinary about it. In the center of the room is a long mahogany table with plenty of seats. To one side, windows line the wall, sunlight streaming through them. To the other, a large functional kitchen sits, easily able to accommodate several cooks at once. Cupboards store silverware, dishes, and food items. There is also a door to a cold storage room, where fruits and other perishable foods are kept. The ceiling is arched high above, the floor below consisting of heated stone tiles. The table is usually set with bread, cheese, fruit, cookies, and other foods which can be grabbed for a quick meal on the go.
Main Library: The doors are large, elaborately carved mahogany, if not quite as large as those for the entrance hall, although with just the slightest touch they easily open soundlessly. Rows upon rows of books stretch upwards and sideways, filling the vision. Small study tables are scattered between the towering book cases, and tall arched windows. Potted plants lined the back wall, and rolling ladders are placed about conveniently for use in reaching the higher shelves. Books of all sorts can be found here, on history, magic of any kind, or a variety of other things. Some of them are ancient in appearance, others appear to be brand new.
Lecture Auditorium: A pair of huge, elaborately carved doors lead into a sort of small-scale auditorium, with a circular platform in the center for the speaker or speakers, and seats ringing around it in consecutive ripples. The walls here are brighter, tiled with mother-of-pearl and quartz. The chamber had particular accoustics to it which carry the voice of the speaker easily across the entire room. Spelled lights are present both above for room lighting, and around the circular stage for more selective lighting during lectures.
Student Rooms: Although there is a bit of variation between the student rooms, especially in color-scheme, they have a similar layout. Each one contains a large bed, easily able to fit three people, typically a elegant mahogany four-poster with curtains. Mounds of silk pillows are piled fashionably at the head of the bed, satin from the looks of it, with a plush comforter spread out over the bead atop silk sheets and additional blankets. A Persian-esque rug is centered in the room. Next to the bed is a matching mahogany night stand with a large pillar candle for late-night reading. At the other end of the room is an armoir, a vanity dresser with a sink, and a bookcase already half-filled with books on history and magic, each a matching mahogany with brass and gemstone accents, intricately carved. A small table in the center of the room sports two more large pillar candles, a vase brimming with a bouquet of fresh flowers such as lilies, lavender, ferns, and mums centered in the middle. To either side are baskets containing various fruits, bread, squash, a block of cheese, and a water pitcher containing both water and ice, kept magically cold, off to the side. *** Upper Levels No rooms have been discovered here, yet. *** Lower Levels No rooms have been discovered here, yet.
