Does anyone else in the guild, who enjoys writing, plan on participating in National Novel Writing Month starting November first? It's my first year so I'm really looking forward to it. Here is my little ol' profile for the event ~ For those who don't know, the goal of NaNoWriMo is to basically write a full length novel. In other word. . . a 50,000 word manuscript. It's pretty exciting to see so many young fellow amateur writers out there participating. For those who don't write but are interested anyways, HERE is the official website.

I always worried about creating the perfect intro.
It annoys my friend to no end and she yells, "Just write!!" And she's right.
Thankfully the finished 50,000 words for WriMo is pretty much just a first draft so it doesn't have to be a polished piece.

I've been trying since '05, but I failed each time. At most I got 8,411 words, because I'm a horrible procrastinator, I start but never finish.
This year though, I'm confident. I have a detailed outline, an interesting plot, and the urge to prove that I can finish stuff outside of class.

I've heard of it and I've wanted to try it out but I've never had the guts to do it. I don't trust my skills as a writer enough to try something as big as this and I'm afraid I'll run out of ideas (if I come up with anything at all) and that I'll lose interest. And on top of that I usually stress a lot with writing, for example in class etc. and I have such a busy period with too many courses to even have time for NaNoWriMo. D:
I think I might try it anyway if I get any ideas, if it gets too stressful I'll just give up. biggrin

Do eet, Puremua! Thought I'd show off my workspace, fu fu fu. http://i34.tinypic.com/25as0zr.jpgCluttered with all my journals and other books for rough outlines, sketches and the like. Though a majority of them remain blank. The first notebook on the stack to the left of the water bottle contains all my plans for my NaNo story.
