Okay, what I really, really,REALLY want to learn about is Astronomy. It is really cool that huge balls of flaming ash(like the stuff on the bottom of fireplaces)make up things like the sun and all stars.I have always wondered how humans managed to dream up the constellations. They look nothing like the bears, scorpions,or centaurs they are said to be!Also, the fact that we all came from a ball of space junk, its just impressive.
The other thing I want to learn about is Geology. It is really interesting subject.Ever since i was 3,the hall of gems and minerals at the Museum of Natural History has always been my favorite!Admittedly, when i was 3 and 4,It was because of the glow-in-the-dark-rocks that I was most interested in,But I still loved it.Back then,my uncle baby-sat me and we went to the Museum of Natural History a lot.On the way to the train station, there was a wall that had different kinds of rocks in it.We use to count the number of rose quartz.I love the rocks because of there different colors and the ways gems can hide in other rocks.
The topic that I absolutely, positively do not want to study is Oceanology. The ocean is big and wet and will always be big and wet. There will always be flippery things swimming along. They might vary in size ,shape, and color, but they will all, basically,be the same.I really dont think we have to donate some brain space to something big and wet with squirming things in it!
Finally,I don't want to study meteorology. When the water evaporates from the ocean,it condenses into clouds. If it is warm, the water comes down as rain.If it is cold, the water freezes halfway and becomes snow.We learned this repeatedly in elementary school,so I don't need a recap of something we will not be using in our adult life, unless some one wants to grow up to be a meteorologist.
This was my science homework.I already posted it,but what do you think? She wanted to know that we did or didnt want to study in earth science.

Hate to say it but the way you over simplified the things you don't want to learn showed you don't know enough about them. So, that's probably what you're going to end up learning about. The things you love and have passion for you will find out about for yourself, most teachers I've had teach the things people list as what they dont want to learn because, one it's their job to teach you things you dont know about, and two if you know about the things they are going to teach (especally in a general ed sience class) you will end up asking alot of questions that the teacher doesn't know the answer to.

Is that a paper? How about you ask an English teacher to help you with the paper after school? It'll be worth it biggrin
