Lirona wandered around the aquarium happily, gazing in open wonder at the exhibits and the colorful creature housed within them. She had never been to an aquarium before, and so was very excited when she read that today admission would only be five dollars. Some kind of... fish holiday, he supposed. But, whatever the reason, the money had been easy to get, and now she was quite enjoying her little excursion. Much better than lazing about the house, that was for sure.
Besides, Lir was well-suited to the aquarium. It was quiet, except for the occasional shrieking of children, and dark without quite being so. The exhibits and certain parts of the walls were lit with colorful lights, which gave off a fairy other-worldly feeling, a feeling that Lirona liked very much. The music playing in the background was very serene, much like the fish themselves. The lust spawn was quite calmed by the surroundings, which was a blessing after the past hectic few days.
She stood in front of the octopus tank and bent down slightly to smile at the odd creature, hands clasped behind her back. Her tentacle waved at all eight of its, and she laughed quietly to herself. Maybe she could convince Silas or Noah to get her a fish tank. They certainly couldn't take much more work than snails...

Ford found the aquarium peaceful and pretty as well, not that he had seen very much of it so far. He might have accidentally spent the morning near the seal tank, sleeping in the sun, but he had woken up with his money and transit pass still on his person, so things hadn't turned out that bad after all.
Now he wandered through the quiet halls, admittedly lost. A girl up ahead caught his eye, mostly because she was one of the only people around, but also because she possessed a seemingly friendly waving tentacle. The only other person Ford had ever met with a tentacle had been Puck, but this girl didn't look like Puck. Ford spent longer than was perhaps polite looking at her, trying to decide whether or not it would be appropriate to ask if she was related to Puck, and finally reaching the conclusion that no, it wouldn't be.
When he finally came back to himself, Ford found that he might have also mistakenly invaded the girl's personal space. He too stood near the octopus tank, but he faced Lirona, not the octopus. "Sorry," he muttered. This was surely why it was best to stay at home. Forever.

Lirona had been watching the octopus sit quietly in its corner for quite a while now, quite amused at the look of the creature. Therefore, it was quite a while before she noticed the winged boy standing near her, and probably wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't spoken. After she had met her demoness donor, Lirona had gotten much more used to people being around her, even if they were what the standard social rules dictated as 'too close'. It certainly felt natural to her.
When she heard the quiet apology, she jumped slightly, turning to face the other spawn with a surprised face, before smiling kindly. Ooh, another spawn, yay! It had felt like a while since he'd seen one, although that probably wasn't true. Her tentacle reached for Ford's tail appreciatively, eager to feel the texture of the scales. Lirona smiled at the other boy. "Sorry? What for? You weren't bothering me, if that's what you were thinking."

Ford grinned, partly due to the fact that he was happy to not have disturbed the girl, but also because he was startled by the tentacle now touching his tail. His father wasn't really the touchy-feely sort, but the contact didn't bother him, it had just been a surprise. "That's good," he said, his wings pulling in closer to his back. He gathered his courage, determined to ask something that was nibbling at his mind. "Have you ever been to the Facility?" From Ford, the question sounded like one directed at a member of a secret club.

Lirona smiled at the other, nodding happily. She had already quite suspected that he was a Facility spawn, although she couldn't for the life of her determine which donors he had. But then, she'd only ever met two, so she didn't really have a large data base to draw from.
"Yup! I went to go see one of my donors just a few days ago! I'm a Lust kid, see, so I went to see J'her," she replied brightly, her tentacle wiggling proudly before going back to petting Ford's tail. "How about you?"

Excellent. Ford nodded, pleased by the knowledge that he had actually identified one of his... siblings of a sort. He had met several of them before, only to have the fact that they were spawn completely pass him by until he was told later, when it was too late to do any good.
"Sloth," he replied. "And Abstinence. I don't eat." Sander had said the gem on his forehead was the reason he had no need to ingest food, but Ford had always lacked the desire to eat as well. Cakes and steak were all right to look at and sniff, but he doubted he would ever have the urge to bite into them. Water was more than enough. "It was nice when I was littler and slept all the time. I didn't ever have to get up as long as I was in the sun." He chuckled. Ford had recently met one of his parents too, Llewelyn, but he wasn't exactly proud to be descended from such laziness. Still, he supposed it was part of him. "Does it always do that?" he asked, gesturing at the tentacle with a curious half-smile. He wondered if it had a name.

Lirona blinked and looked widely at Ford, having never heard of such a weird power. Thinking about his combination, however, she supposed it made sense, and she beamed at her fellow hybrid. "Wow, that's neat! I'm sure that it's super-convenient!"
Giggling quietly at her tentacle's antics, she nodded, one hand covering her mouth. "Yeah, pretty much. It likes people, or at least most people." She giggled again as the tentacle wrapped around Ford's tail, forcing her to step closer to him with a mild blush on her face. "Oh, I'm sorry! It must really like you! It's probably your tail feathers; it used to collect them, " she said with a small smile. "I promise I won't let it take any of yours."

"Oh, well, um..." Ford smiled nervously, lightly patting at the tentacle as it coiled around his tail. "It can... have some if they fall off?" He didn't want to just go ripping out his feathers if he didn't have to, but every so often there was one that simply no longer wished to remain with him.
"So," he said, continuing his attempt to disengage Lirona's wayward appendage without actually touching it, "How was meeting your parent? J'her?" He didn't know much of anything about the other donors, not even whether they were male or female.

Lirona smiled happily at the kind young man and his generous offer, giggling and clapping her hands as her tentacle wrapped a little tighter around the gorgeous tail. "Really? Oh, thanks so much! That is, I'm not hoping for your feathers to fall out, of course, but- but- Well, you know what I mean," she concluded with an embarrassed smile, glancing over at the octopus again. Curse her words and how they insisted on tripping over each other...
At the question about the meeting with J'her, the spawn brightened up and smiled back proudly at Ford. "It was nice, thanks for asking! Well, it was a little scary at first, but J'her's generally a nice lady. A little creepy, and, um... over-sexualized, I think the term is, but nice!" She beamed at Ford, a little over-proud of her sin donor at that moment, before gesturing to her tentacle, who effectively defeated Ford's attempts to make it let go. "It's really neat: my tentacle only started to move by itself after I talked to her! I think she must have woken it up or something." She stroked the appendage fondly.
"So, have you met either of your donors? I don't think I know anyone who's met Sloth or Abstinence..." she mused slightly. Did she even know any Sloth and/or Abstinence kids... No, no she didn't think so. Huh, so this was a new experience all around!

Ford nodded. He supposed it made sense that J'her would be a flamin' ball of sexuality, but the fact that she could awaken writhing tentacles at all put the wrong sorts of thoughts in his head. "That's kinda cool, actually," he said, not bothering to hide his faint blush. It's not like he would ever be meeting the Lust demon, so it hardly mattered what he thought of her or her tentacle animating abilities.
"I met Llewelyn a while ago. Sloth. He was... tired." Ford chuckled. "I used to be tired all the time too, like I said, but seeing him made me not want to be like that anymore. I mean, I'm not ashamed of acting that way, there's just a lot more things I'd rather stay up for now."

Lirona giggled behind her hand at Ford's description of the Sloth demon, and smiled happily. She had never really been quite sure on how Sloth was a sin - everyone needs their down-time, after all, and after living with Adhara and having to babysit Adelle, she was more inclined to bastardize Diligence. But after speaking to Ford, she supposed she could see the disadvantages of acting like that.
"Oh really? Well, that's good, I guess! I'm happy that something good happened from you meeting your demon donor, too!" After she said that, however, her cheery demeanor lessened slightly. Talking about how well her meeting with J'her went reminded her of how Hyacinth was gone, and how no one knew where he went and stuff. However, she wasn't going to be depressing around her new friend, so she half-forced her smile to widen.
"What about the Abstinence angel? Have you met him or her yet? I know that H-Hyacinth was super-sweet when I met him."

"Nope! Never met... her?" Ford was a homebody and his lack of knowledge about who and what went on at the Facility had been a source of embarrassment before. "I think it's a her. I've got an appointment, but I guess I'll find out everything I need to when I go." He almost missed Lirona's slight downturn in mood, but the hitch in her voice and her forced smile drove home the fact that something was wrong. Ford glanced down at the floor and rubbed a hand across the back of his neck. "Sorry if I said something to upset you?"

Lirona nodded politely as she turned to face the octopus tank again and watch the adorable creature change colors moodily. "Neat. I hope you have fun. I don't think an Abstinence angel would like me much," she said with a light chuckle as her tentacle pressed up against the glass of the tank. She stroked the appendage gently, still rather unused to it moving on its own.
When Ford apologized, Lira started just a bit. With an embarrassed laugh, she played with her hair, a nervous habit. Her tentacle began reaching towards the other spawn again, as if it had previously forgotten he was there. "N-No, it wasn't your fault, I promise. Just... Well, if you haven't heard, Hyacinth disappeared, and I'm just a little worried about him, is all." She smiled a little weakly, then chuckled nervously as she spoke again. "Really, thinking that I was the last person to see him in the Facility is starting to freak me out a little."
