Kinda a dead topic since (a) we've all been really quiet and (b) it comes out November 17th, but I'll give it a shot.
Assassin's Creed II takes place in Italy during the Italian Renaissance. The main character is Ezio, a young florentine noble who's father is a banker. Brought down by a terrific event, Ezio is forced to become an assassin and take revenge on the culprits of such an unforgivable crime. Your best friend and genius inventor, Leonardo Da Vinci, will assist you through the quests and even show off some of his own inventions, including the infamous flying machine.
The gameplay has also greatly improves, tripling the amount of missions from 5 to over 15. It also won't be just achievement hunting when searching for hidden locations and rooftops, either, as Patrice Deleise promises great rewards in-game for those who go the extra mile. The story also won't be as linear, allowing the player to take in the scene and play around if he wishes, rather than follow the story mindlessly. There's even an economic system, allowing our infamous assassin to purchase upgrades and new weapons from local merchers.
All-in-all Assassin's Creed II looks like a tremendously fun game to play. Being a fan of the first game, I could view this new title as almost flawless, and just hope that it will meet my expectations. I eagerly await it's November 17th release date and even went all the way and purchased the "Ultimate Assassin" edition, which includes two new DLC (Downloadable Content) areas to explore.
So give me your opinions, if you stumble upon this. Would you buy the upcoming Assassin's Creed II? Is there anything else you'd like to add to the news I've given? What could be improved that they've failed to mention so far?
