Well I speak for myself,,
I liked him at first. But he beame evil. He mistakes himself for a god. and he has a very cruel mind-kill misamisa-L-people who got in his way and who he could use!! no-no-no. much to mean to love
and I would just like to add... on the cover of the 12th book he looks like he's showing off his six pack xD "LOOK AT IT!"
lolz also his last name backwards is 'IM-A-GAY' lmoa.

I think most people admired Light's motives, right up to the point where he decided that he was going to be a god in the new world. If he just wanted to keep quiet and kill off criminals till he died, I don't think they'd dislike him as much.
That said, they'd still preffer L because of his personality.

Yeh, Light at first seems like he has good intentions and I supposed he does. but he shows how such power can corrupt because when they start investigating him, he ends up killing the good guys. That's bad.
