First Memory: The Feeling Of Rain

The thunder struck street lit up with a flash. I watched the sky as the rain beat down upon my face. A sorrow unlike any other, one which I thought I would never feel. It had been pounded into my heart like a jackhammer on the streets. My gaze lowered... I couldn't stare...

Her lifeless, blue eyes looking back at me. My heart racing more and more as if it wanted to rip out from my chest and hang itself to forget this horrifying feeling. A knot in my throat, I couldn't stand to look at Her any longer.

The rain hid my sorrow as it fell from my eyes, falling on her pale, white skin. My body shivers and shakes. My wails crowd the night sky's screams and shouts. I feel as if I had died inside....

The world so cruel. It was as if fate wanted me to feel miserable....useless...pathetic....depressed. As I placed my hand on the wound thrusted upon her, once soft, stomach the screams I gave echoed in the starry night: "Helena!...please....don't go! Come back to me! Helena!" Useless...it was useless. Time and time again I repeated myself. Needless to say, you were gone forever.

I cursed the Earth, the sky, the mountains and the sea. I cursed myself, most of all, for being unable to protect you...for being unable to do anything, for being useless!

No! I will not stay here like this. I promise, in your name that I will avenge you! Tears wiped away with my hand, also stain me with your warm blood. Now I leave your side for the first time in a while, and the last. I know who was the one who did this. I will find him. And I Will...Make...Him....Pay...

Second Memory: Ties That Bind

A knife had sliced through the thread of life she clung to. A knife I had taken from the cold, hard cement that night. This was the only memento I had from that cursed killer. I recognized him. I knew him. I knew where he lived. I swear, in your name, my love, that I will find him. I had planned out my revenge. Four days later, I walked towards his house, with the knife attached to my belt, pressing against my pants, covered by my shirt. His house, a white one with a white picket fence. A knock on the door and it was answered by an old lady. you could hear her old bones creaking with every movement. She asked me to come inside, yet I couldn't refuse. The old lady offered me a meal on the dining room and I agreed. Haven't eaten anything since Helena's funeral two days ago. Once she brought me her food, she sat down and started to talk about how nobody visits her, how lonely she felt. The only person there was her grandson. And he was just staying until tomorrow. She also told me about the death of an innocent girl two days ago. A death I was most familiar with. It seemed like endless hours passed on and she continued to talk, yet I remained with my mind on Helena's lifeless eyes staring back at me. That is, until I heard the door open up[. "William!" The old lady called out. I lowered my face, peered over the corner of my eyes.

It was him....

Third Memory: The Chosen Path

The same knife, the same difference between life and death. I now had to choose from three paths I could walk down on. Kill him and take my own life. Kill him and run away for the rest of my life. Or...don't kill him at all. But the third was not an option! I promised her. I promised Helena that I would avenge her cruel death! He took away my happiness with a swing of his knife and so I shall reap away his the very same way!

Nightfall came, it was time. My new skin successfully camouflaged myself in the darkness under the moon. As I crept across the streets, I finally saw it. The house with a white picket fence. The atmosphere around me abruptly collapsed in sudden hate and blood thirst. Behind this innocent looking house, I made my way towards the kitchen area, where a window laid unlocked. It was slid open and I had infiltrated the house successfully. Next to the dinig room was a hall with three doors. One was the bathroom, the others were bedrooms and in one of them was that man.

My footsteps as quiet as the dead night. My hand placed itself on the first doorknob, twisting it, pushing it. And there she was, the old lady. Sleeping as if she were a newborn infant. So innocent and weak. I rather felt sorry for her. I was going to rid her of yet another, uncaring family member. I had no business with her, so I shut the door. The next room, the one in front of this one. My hand stiffened around the knob and the blade. The air was cold all of the sudden. The squeaking door felt as if it were going to wake up the whole neighborhood.

There he was. Sleeping like he was some sort of damned saint. My shadow crept over his body, my presence loomed over his face. The weapon he used to take away my beloved was raised high in the air. It was harshly brought down on him! And then I felt it. The kitchen knife, it had stopped inches away from his neck. It wouldn't go any further. Droplets of water soaking his bed. I...couldn't bear to do it. I remembered her warm embrace. How she told me she loved me. It was if.....she were holding me right now, as if she herself was telling me not to do it. my knees felt weak, forcing me to fall upon them....

Fourth Memory: Death's Embrace

My knees had failed me. And now, I've fallen over the side of his bed, like I was begging for forgiveness. I felt pathetic. I couldn't protect her, I couldn't avenge her.....this was it....

Suddenly, the man, William, opened his eyes and jumped out of his bed startled over my presence. He recognized me and raised his finger, pointing towards me. "You!" Was all he spouted. I did not care. My legs seemed to have a mind of their own as they took me towards the door once more, opening it and leaving the room. He was scared. I could tell by his face....

William wasn't the nrightest of people. He had taken a gun from under his pillow and rushed outside to greet me once more. Telling me to stop.
So I turned around, noticing that our distance wasn't that far off. We were close to each other. He could extend both of his arms out and just be inches away from my body. I don't know what he was thinking. I figured he knew now ho he was and were going directly towards the cops to tell on him. It was clear what his eyes told me, hellbent on killing.

Poor, poor William. He should have known not to mess with a man who had everything taken away from him...

He was not going to take any more lives.

As I went after him, thrusting the knife forward, there was a gunshot. And there I was, staring into his eyes. Blood trickling into the ground. I stepped back. I couldn't believe what i had done. The gunshot slowly expanded it's pain all over my body. I had hesitated again. I knew Helena didn't want me to do this, but she probably wouldn't want it to end this way either. He had such a look of satisfaction in his face. My life, I could feel it slowly slipping away...

NO! I'm not going to go down without taking him with me! I felt myself fall backwards, but used my leg to stop the process and slapped my hand on the wall. I charged at him again.

A gunshot. My body stops, but I continue on. Another gunshot, I can't feel anything anymore. Another one. Darkness is clouding my eyes. The last one on the clip. So close....so close....

The darkness faded slightly. When I opened my eyes again, I saw him on the ground. The knife I had stabbed him with was covered in his sinful blood. I....finally got him. I had gotten my revenge. He was in his last moments. Such a look of disbelief in his eyes as he saw my almost lifeless body struggling to get up from the ground. My eyes, stared back into his, watching him die. I can't hang on any longer now. My time had come. It was all over. I could hear the sirens closing in. The ambulance and police probably. No matter. I could finally leave this place. There's nothing left for me in this world anymore.

Everything fades into black. I can't hear anything anymore...

( Better Read With This )
Last Memory: Helena

The darkness. It felt like it was swallowing me whole. But it was strange. My head felt like it was laying on something soft...and so did my body. I could hear a faint voice...calling out...
Clearer.....
-Wake up!
....Clearer.....
-Wake up!
......Clearer.....

-Wake up silly!

...Who? There was a bright flash of eyes. I couldn't help but to close my eyes.

-Don't be so mean and look at me, Boo bear!

There was only one person who called me that...

>Helena?...

I opened my eyes. From out of the light, a figure came into view.
That creamy, delicate skin.
Those beautiful blue eyes.
That soft, black hair.
That endless smile.

-Yes. It's me Boo bear.

>Where are we?

-We're in the hill we always climbed on. Laying your head on my lap, like always.

>Helena....I'm...finally with you....finally....

-...

>What's wrong?

-He only gave us a while...just to say good bye.

>Who? Who's He? God?

-Only a while, Boo Bear...

>.....

-.....

>You were everything to me, Helena.

-....

>I wanted to be with you....get married....have children....to be with you....forever.

-...Me...too...

>Don't cry , Helena. I fell in love with your pretty smile...not your frown...

-Heh heh...sniff....you made me so happy, Boo Bear. I love you...so....so much... But it's time to say good bye.

>Helena?

-Good bye, Boo...I'll always love you...

>Helena?!....Don't leave me again!....Don't leave me, please!....Helena!?.....HELENAAAA!!

The light...it faded into darkness....

The last thing I was able to see...

Was her beautiful face...

...........................

I'm thankful...
