Here's my first drawing for critiquing and such, an inked drawing of Spider doing the Batusi, an homage to the recent Mike Allred issue of Solo. I put game in the header again because I drew it with the intention of trying to get other people who are into the spirit of the comic to follow suit with their favorite characters, Bob and Linda already have, hopefully Bob will post his here too. domokun



After giving it some time and some thought, I'm not totally satisfied with how his right side looks, but overall I like it and I think I've finally captured Spider's face accurately. I don't think he's usually that toned, but my comics are all boxed away at the moment so I referenced my figure, which is that toned.

Okay what I mean is, look at the hand with the red arrow pointing to it. The angle on the top makes the hand look as if its broken. It should be angled a bit more so we can see more of the fingers, and a bit of the thumb. You should try to keep in mind how the hand would connect to the forearm, especially in crazy poses like that, it's somethign that plagues me as well. I suggest getting a small shaving mirror, not only for poses, but for clothing folds and the like.
