I really don't like having a discussion with someone and then having them bail on you. It's like I presented my argument where's yours? I mean it's nice to keep a discussion going and then end it accordingly. Maybe, I am just looking for an argument and karma will come to bite me in the a** for that, but until then I just wish people knew how to have civil debates.
I can talk with a friend of mine (we have a lot of the same opinions, but when we disagree...) He politely tells me why he can't agree to that and I listen and then we end it. No fervent arguing, no insults. Just agree to disagree and move to the topics where we hold the same opinion. I mean I love debates when you get an opinion that clashes with yours, but if anyone steps over a boundary (which some have been crossed with me before)...I will not hesitate to "attack." My attacks are always polite so I don't see why the person must come back with an attitude and insult the hell out of me.
It drives me nuts that not very many people nowadays have a single shred of chivalry, decency, respect, tolerance and civility left within them. Of course, this makes me sound completely arrogant and totally biased, but hell aren't we all? Oooh, that makes me think. We all have a trait inside of us that is slightly hedonistic. It's human nature!!
I can't make you believe in something you do want to besides that is disrespectful, but I do encourage you to hear anyone out and listen to what they have to say before you make judgments or assumptions that way those people know that you are not some arrogant, pompous a** who believes that his existential world is the only thing that matters. Trust me we all have our opinions and no matter who you are you will defend them if you must until you die. I think it's how we are, but of course, this is just me bi**hing...

I agree, but them bailing doesn't bug me much. If anything I get a feeling of Victory like I just owned them in the face and they don't want no more. Lol. But it more or less depends on the argument for me to dislike that kind of action or not.

YES! A response! Sorry, excited! Haha. I understand what you are saying about a sense of victory, but I also have to kind of wonder why did you suddenly just stop the conversation?
Sorry, it just makes me go nuts! That's why I sound so intense!

I believe that you treat a woman or man with the same level of respect. Neither one is above the other and I don't care if society claims that the man has the upper hand. There is differences between us...
And considering the dating rules on that site that a man should follow when wanting to take a women out I think the women should not have the say that she can be late for a date, but he can't. That does not make sense to me. The woman can't get away with things like that and the man is penalized. It doesn't make sense to me.
This is a hard topic to argue Patience....I haven't really taken a stand, but I think that there should be some common ground between man and woman on dating "rules" or anything else. We should be equal, but we haven't gotten there yet.

ExileDeath Give me anything ya want, Ill argue it! Are you busy a lot? I don't mean to pry, but it seems that you are doing just want I claimed I'm tired of in this thread. Ban if you must, but I can't take it anymore! You ask me to civilly debate with you then you don't bother to post any response when a topic is given.

Just because we're arguing in the other thread (you know which one, Exile) doesn't mean I am not up for something here. It still irritates me to no end that you ask for something and then don't follow up with it...
Forgive me if you have been bogged down with work or other necessities you must attend to, but it's still irritating...

So Artizt what do you want to talk about? Oh, I don't know...maybe about the fact that people are doing the very thing I b*****d about in this thread...Oh, really? Yes, it's inevitable I suppose, but I'm glad when I find reasonable people to discuss things with. People who have a point.

My apologies for leaving the other thread Artist. I really do enjoy debating with you, I really do. I enjoy the fact that you try and find a middle ground, that you will see both reasons behind each view.
I left the other thread because it went from fun debate to who can destroy the others view faster. But I really did enjoy it while it lasted, you're a great debater. And the last few posts weren't directed at you at all.

I understand, but I really don't think Patience was trying to "destroy" your view. She was just saying it in more harsh words that there should be level ground between the two (homosexuals and christians).
And thank you. I really never thought of myself as a good debater, but thanks.
I posted in the other thread and asked you to stay. I mean you don't have. Well, I am glad I can be a the 'middleman' per se and get this solved.

Talking to ourselves is something we all do. I'm half-tempted to have a debate with myself...
