[Timeline: Obviously after new wolves found by Kalani/accepted in pack] ooo It had been only a short while since the youngster was introduced to the Sanctity Pack, swept up in the woods one day by a striking black wolf, lulled by ideals of love and unity under a milky mother goddess and led to the real promised land like a lost lamb behind a shepherd. Only a short while since calloused and torn black paws first felt 'home' soil, blue eyes unable to take in all the sights of what would now be his. Only a short while since he was looked over by a beast of an alpha, waiting with baited breath for what could have been a death sentence for the starved and scared pup. But none came.
ooo Now, 'not too long ago' seemed both a second and an eternity away. The male could barely fathom it, stepped with great apprehension, afraid of tripping up and shattering what now seemed to him like a dream. Where he could risk being out in the open without the threat of something larger, where a throbbing heart was quieted, if only momentarily. For Brook, his chest now pained for a different reason. That time between safety of his first family and his new family, the period he daren't give a name lest it choose to come back and haunt him, he hadn't any time to mourn. For his siblings and parents, to wonder and fear for his sibling, who had seemed to make it away. Where were they now? Where they safe, as he? Brook had to think only on his ravaged stomach, his wounded leg and shoulder and his wide eyes in his near sunken face, always out for his own safety.
ooo His pelt, in normal conditions, should've been healthy and bright, a shining tawny in the midday sun. But hung on the stunted pup it was matted by dirt still in some places, failing to cover a scar or scratch in another; in other words, dull. Head low and face blank, the pup stared out across the surface of Lake Tegid, slightly hunched as he sat in the healthy green grass among it's shore. Behind him the pack's dens stood, and where he should be. But Brook's nerves were too frazzled, his mind too cloudy to make awkward nods and fearful conversation to near strangers right now.

Alya was wandering, she wasn't sure where Tirin was otherwise she would probably be harrassing him and doing something they weren't suppose to do, as was the way of life here it seemed or maybe it was just because they were the kids of the beta's. Either way Alya and Tirin could be the not best behaved pups.
Alya had heard from her father that there was another pup in the pack. So being the only female pup now in the pack she thought it was clearly her duty to find him and make him welcome, then she could introduce him to Tirin. She was sure they could have a really good time with a trio and not just a duo and goodness knows what her parents would think if she didn't go and be nice to him.
Now... what did her dad say his name was?

His heavy head snapping up, the pup was brought out of his grief-filled reverie and into reality once more. Coming from around the dens behind him were the sounds of footsteps. Awkwardly turning his head about as an owl would, Brook watched the dark brown pup. At a point he'd been shown to everyone in the pack, but had she been there? He wasn't certain, though even if she had he was in no attitude to try and remember.
His mind rushed through a blur of wolves, tuned out voices into a muddled mass that made his head bruise inside. He wasn't doing all too well here now, and had little hope that it would get any better.
She looked like Kalani, though. If even only for the dark strip down her face and black tipped legs and tail. Of course, the large black male was really the only member he could remember as reference. For all he knew, there could be a hundred other wolves that looked like him. Swallowing a stubborn lump in his throat, the small wolf broke his gaze from her. It made him uncomfortable to be watching her.

Alya stopped and smiled at the pup.
"So you are the new pup. Hey I am Alya, my father brought you here." She smiled, her tail wagging behind her. She could have fun if she wanted, after all why not? Then she could show off to her brother as she would have a friend and he wouldn't! Sounded good to her.
"Do you want to go play? I can show you all the best places to hide and sneak about oh and to spy on people!" She smiled, yes she decided she was going to have a good time today.

For a moment as she spoke, Brook didn't turn his head, but stared still out into the lake. How did the trees on the sides still look into the water, even the sun was reflected? He knew he could see him own face if he looked down, but hadn't ever questioned why. Was there another him down there? One that looked the same, with the same trees and grass and even very bubbly packmate standing by him?
The prospect was overwhelming. And there was that. Alya. He was very shocked by her easy words and thoughts of play. Brook hadn't played in a long time, and even before that not with anyone who wasn't related. Even if his new pack was his family, why did he feel so awkward around them?
Wordlessly, the male shuffled on his haunches to look about at Alya. He nodded.

Alya watched the pup curiously. He seemed like a strange thing but she wasn't too bothered, another playmate was another playmate whether he talked or not. Maybe he couldn't talk? Well she was sure they could play even if he couldn't talk.
"Awesome! Follow me and I will show you around, you must have seen the borders because you are new but we aren't really allowed near the borders because we are small and father always tells us off." She happily chatted away telling him about the packlands, the best places to hide and where they could and couldn't go. Even if he had wanted to say something he would have had issues getting a word in. Once she finished talking though she turned and smiled at him.
"Right hide and seek! You want to hide first?" She turned around looking very happy, which of course she was. This was going to fun!

Relieved that he wasn't subjected to a barrage of questions like he thought he would, Brook hopped right up and moved after his new 'playmate'. One among more brothers and sisters when he lived back with his family, and not the most outspoken of the lot he frequently was a follower rather than a leader in games. At those thoughts, memories of life before the Bad Things, a choking lump threatened to squeeze his throat closed. But her joyful chattering allowed him to push the feelings away, suppress all the bad happenings. He enjoyed listening to her, and blue eyes watched her intently, tawny ears circling forwards. She had a good voice to talk, Alya. Especially since when she did the pup realized that he himself didn't have to.
As she turned about, the male swallowed hard, a smile pulling across his features in an attempt to mirror her own. He nodded once more, almost ecstatic in his movement. He hadn't played hide-and-seek in a long time, but hiding was a thing he did very well.

"Right so I am bored already you go hide and I will count!" She smiled, her tail wagging behind her. She then turned around and laid down.
"Ooooooone..... Twwwwwooooooo....." She countinued to count making sure each number lasted as long as she could make it before moving on to the next one.
"Niiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeee..... Teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen, I am coming!" She then jumped up and turned around sniffing the air. He had to be around somewhere... now where was he hiding...

For a moment after she began counting, Brook found himself still swaying in place, watching her curiously as she counted. It wasn't like he hadn't heard anything of the kind before, but there was an overwhelming sense of....normalcy in playing like this. A shy grin fixed across his maw the male loped quickly away. His overgrown paws took a second nature to keeping over and around dry grass and sticks, anything that could make a noise.
If he were older he would've realized how much hide-and-seek was like his previous life. But now those thoughts were suppressed, and bright blue eyes were peeled wide not for predators, but for a good place to keep himself hidden.
What had she said about the best hiding places? Brook tried to remember, tiny memory pictures of secretive hollow logs and tree-trunk dens fresh now before his eyes. But if she knew that would be the first place she would look. Out of sight only by distance now the pup heard her call, an a giddy sort of adrenaline rush came over him. As quietly and quickly as he could the male slid into a patch of brush, not out of place among the rest of the woods. This spot, he discovered with a relief-filled smile, was slightly lower than the rest of the woods. Laying belly-down in the dirt, muzzle and ears hidden behind the rise of land and foliage respectively, bright cyan eyes looked out for any sign of her coming.

Once she finished counting she turned around and looked about before putting her nose to the ground. She moved slowly, her nose attached to the ground. She didn't want to loose his scent and father was always telling her that she needed to learn to track well so this is what she was doing, she was tracking.
She followed it a little way, he had moved quite fast it seems. She looked up to see if she could see him, listening for anything that might give him away. She was constantly smelling the air and then she smiled. He was over there!
She jumped about making a lof of noise, her nose still searching for his scent.
"Found you!" She called, landing in front of where he was laying.
"Your good but now you count!"

Despite his less than boisterous introduction, the pup couldn't help letting out a squeal of excitement at being found. Bright eyes had watched her paws, belly to the dirt and head upon his paws. But when she'd finally leapt in front of him, the pup wanted nothing less than to leap out and surprise her.
She was pretty good at this! For a girl, at least.
A soft, foolish smile on his face, Brook wriggled out from underneath the dense bushes, giving his tiny frame a shake. Fresh healing pink scars littered his coat and as his fur moved she may have caught a glimpse. But he was in too good a mood right now to have noticed, to cover them up with a shame as he normally did. This was feeling more like home. He had played this with his siblings.
A quick nod and the male looked about, finally setting his sights on a nearby tree. He could count from them. And so he started over, seating himself firmly down at the trunk and beginning to count in a raspy, soft voice.

Alya smiled as she watched the male and wagged her tail. As he started to count she smiled before jumping away again. She ran around and around in circles making sure her scent covered everything before doubling back on herself and finding somewhere to hide. She rolled around in the mud before laying in it. Her eyes watching for the pup as she couldn't see him for where she was laying.
She pricked her ears to see if she could hear him. She could hear his counting and could hear when he stopped so she lowered her head on to her paws and waited hoping that rolling in the mud, when she was already brown, would make her harder to find. After all she played all sorts of games with Tirin so was rather good at this game!

Ten... "H-Here I come!" The pup rasped, though it was still a soft, small noise. With bright blue eyes Brook looked around, and for a moment thought to himself he would see her just right out. Of course it was a foolish notion, because if he had it would've been a rather unproductive and well, lame game of hide-and-seek, wouldn't it? Noticing to his own embarrassment that he was just hesitating in one spot Brook started off, trotting to the nearest tree and circling the trunk looking for a scent.
Aha! Unbeknownst to him she had circled back, leading him, while intent on the 'trail' Alya had left, around and around. It even took the pup a moment to figure that he had been fooled, and the queerest scrunched lip came over his usually expressionless face.
