*collapses* I'm back from Banzai, and I'm beat. It was epic though. I got a bigger messenger bag(red 'silk' with black dragons), and a shoulder bag(black with red dragons) since it was the same 'buy one get one' deal as last year. I also got a Sesshomaru plushie, a t-shirt with the Poison Mushroom from Mario which says 'game over', a beautiful black fan with orchids on it, a straw hat, and I treated everyone to Pocky.
We did get a little lost on the way to a couple panels Friday because I didn't exactly understand the map: I thought it referred to a different part of the hotel. sweatdrop In my defence I hadn't got much sleep the night before due to my cat throwing tantrums.
Saturday morning I got in trouble for opening the curtains while everyone else was still in bed: awake and talking, but not ready for the shock of daylight. rofl Later we checked out Artists Alley, where I got an apple cell phone charm, then went to get in line for autographs. It was already fairly long an hour and a half before it was scheduled to start, but we were still close enough to the front not to worry. From what I heard the line was half way around the hotel by the time we in.
I got the guests(Michelle Ruff, Chuck Huber, and Warky the Chocobo*) to get pictures with Puu, this time using my disposable camera so they can't get deleted.*knocks on wood* I was walking on clouds for hours after that. heart
Then one of my friends had to leave since she goes to church Sundays, then later that night some really nasty drama happened with some other friends of ours, so nasty I refuse to go into further detail.
Sunday didn't really have much going on, so we basically hung out, sulked that the Dealers Room waited until we were completly broke to get all the best stuff out, then went to the Signing Off panel with the guests, then Closing Ceremonies, then came home.
This was the cons' first time being three days, and our last year at the hotel, which has proven to be a bit cramped.
That's right, Banzai's outgrown it's britches. It's already been arranged that next year will take place at the Davis Conference Center, which is much bigger. And the best part of all? It's closer to where my friends and I live, so we won't need to get a hotel room to go multiple days.
All in all, I had a lot of fun, and am now bound and determined to start saving up spending money for next year.
And pics will come as soon as I'm able to get the cameras developed and have my friend scan them for me because mine hates me.
*Warky is not a bird, he's a musician who specializes in video game music. 3nodding

If they don't have a photo center, try CVS?
