OK, loved that movie. It reminded me SO much of myself when I was that kid's age.
I do think ONE thing, though.
There was a (possibly subliminal) message in that damn movie.
"IT'S GREAT TO BE GAY!!!"

Why put a message like that in a movie that has NOTHING to do with sexuality?

WHAT in the WORLD makes you think that was a message in that movie?? I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've read several reviews for it which suggested that it does have a few hidden messages, but that was definitely not one of them.
What happened in the movie that made you think this? Also, I don't care about spoilers, so spill it.

Hey hey my friends agree with me!! My friend's MOM even agrees with me lol xd
The main three signs are:
1. The main monster's name is CAROL. That's a girl's name -_- (He's a guy)
2. Carol drew a heart on a tree with an "M" in the middle for Max, the boy.
3. In the end, after Carol and Max's love dispute, Max creates a heart out of twigs and puts a "C" in the middle for Carol.

Dude it's totally just brotherly love xD
Really, none of those things are a big deal at all. Except for using the name Carol for a guy, which is just stupid lol.
But I really don't think those things mean anything except they had a strong bond, and Max is only a little kid, so it REALLY doesn't imply anything. Not to mention the monsters aren't even human, haha. You may also think that just because of the fact that they're both boys, whereas girl friends are more openly affectionate with one another and it's seen as more normal, whereas two male friends acting that close is seen as gay.
I also think that if those two characters were actually in love with each other, Max wouldn't have left in the end.
And finally, even if the producer did mean to make them gay, so what? xP

xd really its different if you see it.
AND IN ANSWER TO YOUR LAST QUESTION, that would be just not appropriate at all. It's supposed to be a movie about a kid who has an inner beast and a love for adventure, not A LOVE FOR ANOTHER DUDE.

I don't care if I haven't seen the movie! Admit that my points are valid!!
Now I'm definitely see the movie asap xD
AND movies aren't restricted to just one thing, they're free to explore lots of other situations and themes :3 The bottom line is that the main point of the movie still focuses on a kid's desire for adventure and the beauty/tragedy of growing up, so if other elements are thrown in there purely to spice it up, I don't see a problem with it.

I always heard "Take off HER clothes", in which case I thought he was referring to Jasmine lol. I believe some of the weird disney conspiracies, but some are just ridiculous rolleyes
