HEAVEN VS. HELL

Two lovers, once mortals, were separated at death. One to Heaven, one to Hell. The battle between Heaven and Hell has been a quiet one ever since Creation, no real combat was ever initiated. It is because of this silent battle that the balance of power can stay just that, balanced. However, Heaven decided that she wanted to be the most powerful and appointed a general to lead the angelic realm into battle. To compensate, Hell appointed a general as well. Coincidentally, these generals were the aforementioned lovers...

Trumpets sound, initiating the final days of life. Each side has taken up arms to prepare for a fight for the ultimate prize: Creation. Hissing legions rise up from their boiling depths, with taunting cries to the sky above they surge forward. Angels with their fiery swords and piercing arrows of light push back against the hoards below. Their wings rain down feathers soaked in crimson life. All the while the creatures of the world watch in horror as the battles draw ever closer. Is Hell really out for chaos, or is Heaven just as misguided? Only you can find out. It is time to choose a side...

Personality: Don't let her size fool you. Though petite, Adrian is very strong. She didn't become Heaven's General for nothing.
She is the very image of a "Stoic General" that Heaven needs. Adrian tries to keep her emotions under wraps, especially in battle when she needs all her thoughts focused on fighting. All this aside, though, Adrian is very kind-hearted, and loving. She will not hesitate to help anyone who truly needs her help. She has no sympathy for people who don't try to help themselves.
She despises nicknames and will never use them.
She has an immense appreciation for music, and will often be found humming one song or another.
Nothing, though, is more thrilling to Adrian than battle. She loves strategizing battle plans with her most trusted fighters.
Adrian will do anything to uphold the balance of power, even if that means fighting against the one she holds above all else.
Background: It is said that Adrian has been in Heaven since it was created. This, however, is not true, since Adrian clearly remembers being human. She remembers her lover opening up the sarcophagus that would bring death upon both of them. She remembers the anguish felt when she found out that her lover would not be staying in heaven with her. Sometime after her arrival in Heaven, Adrian was told that her soulmate had tipped the balance of power, forcing the realms into war. She was offered the opportunity to serve Heaven as it's General and Leader. She accepted, of course, and though she still cares deeply for her former lover, she can now only see her soulmate as an enemy...
During her time as General, Adrian has met some very interesting people. One of which was Morgan.
Morgan was an extremely skilled fighter and strategist. He and his wife grew to become very special friends of the general. When his wife died giving birth to their baby girl, Morgance, Adrian took them both in, caring for the infant while her friend mourned the loss of his wife.
Adrian watched Morgance grow from an adorable child into a beautiful young woman. Her adeptness at healing intrigued Adrian, and when she was 18, Adrian asked her to join the army as a healer. The girl accepted.
Soon after, Morgan was brutally killed. Adrian silently swore to avenge the death of her most trusted friend, and asked Morgance to live with her so she didn't have to be alone. The girl gladly accepted.
Adrian spends her free time with her "family", Morgance and her cat Drystan. She loves to hear Morgance play her flute, and will often stay in the sitting room and listen.

Weapons/Powers/Special Abilities: Adrian wields a sword called "Redemption". The blade, as well as its sheath, is crafted of the indestructible material Adamantium. No one knows how Adrian acquired "Redemption", except perhaps, herself, though she will never reveal how it was obtained.
Her armor was crafted by the most talented crafter in any Realm. It is enchanted, and will protect the life of its wearer to almost any extent.
Adrian is not a healer, but she knows enough healing magic to mend most major wounds. She does not know how to cure illness.

Morgance Myst Haevynstorm

Personality: Morgance is quiet, motherly, cutesy, innocent, and severely empathetic. She spends most of her time helping others rather than tending to her own needs. She doesn't see much need for fighting and will only raise arms if she feels threatened.
Although Morgance is close to many people, no one really knows much about her as she keeps mostly to herself. She gets nervous when she talks one-on-one with someone, and often plays with her hands or sometimes twiddles her fingers in such situations.
She cares for everyone equally, preferring no partial treatment and makes sure that everyone is content before she can actually call a day a success.
She enjoys being around nature and will often wander off into the forest. Her favorite area is the area by the lake that is not too far from her cottage in town.
She is often seen with her pet cat, Drystan, riding on her head or shoulder. Drystan is a loud flying cat creature, whose wings appear to be decorative since he is never seen flying, and who tends to say thing that make sense to no one other than Morgance.
Drystan and Morgance spend most of their down-time by the lake, where she will play the cat creature any tune he wishes. Drystan is her beloved "little brother" and she will do anything for him. He functions primarily as her defense.
When no one's around or it is quiet, she tends to space, and most people mistake this for unhappiness.
She hates shoes and will rarely be seen wearing them. If she must wear shoes, they will probably be sandals.
The one thing she really needs is someone she can relate to; someone who will keep her safe, as she's not too worried about her own safety as much as the safety and well-being of others, and she doesn't want to always be the worry of her friends.
Background: Morgance's Father, Morgan, was a good friend and ally of Adrian, Heaven's General. He was her second in command for quite some time. The General was present at Morgance's birth; her mother did not survive it.
Morgance grew up in the presence of Adrian and her father's work. Because of the time it took away from her father's attentions, Morgance grew to dislike battle. She was never one to fight, but She wanted to do something to help her father and Adrian in battle, and quickly found that she had a knack for water and healing magics. She practiced and became quite adept at healing, and when she was 18, Adrian requested that she become her army's healer. Upon her acceptance, Adrian had a weapon crafted for Morgance. Her father was so proud and gave her a kitten, Drystan, as a gift.
Soon after her induction, Morgance's father was killed by a rogue demon while he was scouting neutral territory. A Heaven warrior carried him back to Adrian's quarters, where Morgance was currently staying. Try as she might, Morgance would never be able to heal her father, and bringing him back to life was out of the question. His body turned to clouds and floated off into the wind. Adrian was devastated, losing a best friend and ally. Morgance spent an entire month, not saying one word in mourning for her father. Adrian offered for Morgance to live with her and she accepted.
In the years after, Morgance served her time in Heaven's Army under Aiden healing wounded soldiers and cooking for the troops. She spends most of her spare time with Adrian and Drystan, telling them stories and playing them songs.

Weapons/Powers/Special Abilities: Morgance wields a flute made of Syrylite. Syrylite is a bright, bluish-silver metal which is only useable by the first immortal of pure innocence who makes contact with it (Normally a pure angel). Anyone else with pure soul who touches it will find that the flute does not respond to them. Anyone with corruption within them who touches the flute will be drained of their willpower instantaneously. Finally, anyone with an entirely corrupted soul will be obliterated on contact because of it's purity. Her main offensive, defensive and healing powers are directly tied to the flute which can manipulate both water and light. The flute can be used to create large tidal waves from seemingly nowhere when Morgance plays low notes on it. When she plays higher notes she can create multiple fast paced attacks such as water blade summoning, or aqua sphere shooting. She controls water and light and uses them both as her healing abilities. When Morgance is separated from her flute, one of it's special abilities is activated. Using both her control over water and her control over light, the precipitation in the air condenses and takes a solidified and nearly indestructible form as a weapon. The shape of the weapon depends on the circumstances of it's formation. Her main skills are not focussed in offense but more towards defense and healing. She uses her water to summon barriers and decoys. Her light powers are used mostly for healing her wounds, the wounds of others, or as a means of escape by blinding her foe temporarily. When she plays a specific melody which her mother had hummed to her as a child, her elegant white wings are revealed.

Ronoku Oni Ichizuma

Personality: A man of few words. He is usually very quiet and rarely speaks. But when he does, he sounds to be very intellegent and logical. He is also very laid back, but when he needs to, he will show his unhuman-like athletic abilities.
Background: He was a happy child with loving parents and a baby sister, but it was all stripped away from him at the young age of 11 when mobsters killed his family, him being spared since he was at a freinds at the time. He was then put in the foster hime for 6 years of torture and neglect. He then met a girl who's family accepted him and let him live with them the next year, then he graduated school and was kicked out after the girl's parents thought they had been having intercourse. So for the next year he lived in a run-down apartment complex working at a local fast-food joint. Then the war had started and he was forced to choose a side to live, the angels and devils argueing in his head. He then chose the angelic side, hoping the victory lied there.

She is so dutiful in fact that she values the orders of her general over all others and has been close to punishment many times for such priorities. Very impatient in times of idleness.
Background: Has faded memories of her past life as a rich teenage girl, who's mansion was ransacked and burned by robbers. She ascended and became a soldier, fury and rage from her last moments of her once beautiful life guiding her path. She trained as hard as possible and rose in the ranks, learning both melee skills and any magic she could master. Any time she went into battle without specific orders, she would run fearlessly into the thick of the battle and fight with as much bloodlust as the most feral of demons. From this her appearance became less angelic and more demonic, where she borderlined becoming a fallen by the sin of wrath. Many other soldiers view her as a sort of 'necessary evil'. hen the general Adrian was announced, she admired her beauty and strength vowed to serve her without question.

Her wings have been so fortified they feel more like metal than feathers, and are often used as shields. Her weapon she never parts with 'Calirvoyance' allows her predict the enemies movements and react accordingly, but drastically lowers her sight range. Favoring the chaotic sort of magics, she learned how to create an unfocused forceful wave to burst from her, scattering the enemy from her, and a focused bolt to peirce through demons like a lance.

Background: Rapheal grew up in England so he loves the cool weather there. He knew he was blessed growing up along with his mother alone. When she died at age 15 he began living on the streets he wished to die many nights in the freezing cold but somehow he still was warm. When he walked by a church at night a man in a white trenchcoat came up to him and told him that he was his father. Rapheal wanted to kill him but somehow he began to cry to see that he finally met his father. His father told him that he could live in his apartment to get off the streets. He told him that her mother was an ice maiden which explained why he was so immune to cold weather and that he was half angel. He couldn't believe but until his father released his powers by training him as an angel. After many years of training he mastered his ice and angelic powers, he couldn't be any happier with his father. After the devastion of the world his father disappeared and Rapheal has been traveling alone ever since. His home was destoryed and now he's a traveling artist and exorcist. He hates demons and how they treat and manipulate humans for their enteratainment. He is known as the "Frozen Crossbearer" to many demons who face him. He wants to bring back hope and light to the world he was raised in has lost. He seeks to find others who wish for a world like his and willing to sacrifice his own life for it.

Background:Someone had abducted her and she remembers nothing about herself and what happened in her childhood years. All she knows is now. She clings onto memories desperately.

Personality: A spoiled princess used to getting anything she wants. Always showing her emotions, smiling or crying she makes it known. Excessively curious, she becomes obsessed with and will follow whatever or whoever piques her interest. Often childish and sometimes shy.
Background: Only child of two very well off royal demons. The two planned on using their influence to make her the general of Hell, but to their dismay she never took well to the teachings that didn't interest her. Instead of paying attention to the battle tactics of past generals she would drift off thinking of the swirls and uniqueness of all the seals she had learned. The two decided to focus on that, having a seal blade crafted for her, and hopefully she would grow into the rest. The choosing of the general came early however and many supporters of Ophelia took notice of the threat Kilia may be because of her parent's standing. The plan to assassinate her went awry though when the parents happened upon the group of assassins carrying it out. Kilia's father held them off while her mother led Kilia away, getting hit by a throwing dagger. They stopped for a moment, her mother beginning to cough more and more. The mother had been poisoned by the dagger and would soon die. Guessing her husband would be poisoned from fighting them, he would not be returning and these would not be the only assassins. Kilia looked at her mother confused, asking various questions that were being left unanswered. Her crying mother spoke "Be Safe..." and laid her hand on her daughters forehead. Her mother began to chant and Kilia passed out becoming dormant as a seal enveloped her and soon faded away with her. A few assassins that broke away from the main group charged toward her just as the last of the light from the seal faded. Much time passed and Kilia awoke inside of some temple ruins on the surface. Alone and in pitch black shadows Kilia's big saddened eyes looked around in vain. She cried from confusion and loneliness, soon going to her knees. Her blade tip touched the tiled floor and light began to shine at the connecting point. The light soon spread in an intricate pattern that spider webbed out into a large seal taking up the whole room and stringing out through the rest of the temple giving off a beautiful dark purple light. The light gathered on her blade and soon the seal dulled giving off a glow that softly lit the temple. Her blade had reignited the temple's lost power and sent a pulse of its location and hers to the world.

Background: A demon hated for her very existence. Due to her grieving heart as a human, she was reborn as a Yuki-onna after passing away in a snowstorm. However, such grief only continued as she was hunted by human, demon, and occasionally even angels. After all, a Yuki-onna is a stealer of men. Unable to handle the daily stress, she hid herself away in the mountains letting her emotions flow as blended in among the snow covered area. However, her isolation wasn't meant to be as even her safe haven became vulnerable. Years had passed since she first hid herself and she had not known of the battles waging upon the earth. Seeing demons fighting angels frightened her as she thought she would be targeted once again for her existence. Within a few days time, she finally built up the courage to attempt to talk with the angelic forces hoping they would allow her to join them. It was a stretch, but in her eyes, it was really the only chance she had. Demons attacked her simply for her powers, humans despised her, and angels were the only wild card. Waiting to long would only increase the chance someone would detect her and make her join a side by force or get rid of her. It was that thought that scared her to no end and gave her the will to at least try.

Bored he began using his demonic powers on debris setting his sword into the ground time to time, while walking around, hunting animals for food. All of this of course brought the attention of angels to him. Reki clearly outclassed him in swordsmanship and just as he thought he would die, an angel saved him. An angel! The shining light from her hands was the last he saw before coming to away from them. Shaken up and confused, he hurried back to Hell, Isha's worried and caring face burned into his thoughts.

The weapon is quite blunt, so its unable to cut others. If not in contact with the blade, his demon side starts taking over more and more as time goes by, losing control to insanity. While in demon form he becomes extremely agile and strong, growing wings and claws to attack with. Has chaotic magic of the same sort as Reki, though it augments his claws swipes and often is launched as an exploding orb. If in shadows he can regenerate quickly and blend into them. While a demon he cannot tell friend from foe and will attack any that were not indicated before the change.

It was sort of a symbiotic relationship in her lush forest. In exchange for letting her drink from the forest's nutrients, she kept the oasis like garden safe from those that would destroy it. However, this came to an end when a cataclysmic rift tore through the ground splitting her treasure in twain and into the black abyss. It saddened her to lose such a promising home, but being an optimistic, she moved on curious to what was happening on the land that the humans had foolishly thought they had control of. Sprouting up from the soil of the earth, she was surprised to see various demons and angels fighting. For only the short time she had felt the air of this plane, she had taken a liking to it and decided she couldn't let the demons be pushed back or this lush soil would be banned from her joyous touch.

Background: An oddity among her fellow Akaname, Kureiko avoids filthy places. She prefers it in a different sense, the filth, or corruption, of one's soul. Through her own volition, she learned the ways of the spirit charmer stealing souls of the most corrupt humans savoring their taste. Demons were fine for her too but the delicacy of a human soul far surpassed the likes of naturally evil demons. It of course helped that she could pose as a human herself. It was when she was snacking on quite the dish of a corrupt noble when the town she was in became collateral damage for one of the many battles of the war. Kureiko never did like those of the angelic force but catching one that had fallen to darkness was like dining on fine cuisine. Such an opportunity would not go wasted she thought to herself as she slipped into the shadows of an alley leaving the town for a new destination.

Background: Kestral was born on Kurai Island which lies about in the middle of mortal Japan and America. His father trained him from a young age to fuse elements and make his fighting style as flexible and malleable as possible. One day, a man named Cross killed Kestral's mother in cold blood for seemingly no reason. Kestral's father attempted to avenge her death but was also slain by Cross. This left Kestral, a fourteen year old boy, to lead his entire clan. Kestral delved himself in the studies of Elemental Fusion, learning to fuse basic elements together, and eventually even more complex ones. When he felt he was ready to search for Cross, he had the clan's blacksmith, Gizan, forge him a fine soul weapon (meaning it was bound to him and him alone.) The blade Half Blood was thus created and Kestral left the Island in search of the traitor. When Kestral finally tracked him down, Cross pinned him against a rock and revealed exactly why Kestral's parents had to be killed. The Kurai were a clan of demons, but both his father and mother had been Half Breeds, leaving both their's and Kestral's blood impure. Background: Once a proud angel of heaven who followed the every whim of those who considered her as such. She was highly redeemed for her unique power of healing that could purify the worst of injuries and even reverse the death of a loved one. The power was not merely to heal but was to cleanse an instance of regret a person held within them. Her last whim she carried out was to accompany the warrior angel Reki who was to invesigate possible demon activity in the mortal plane. A few days after they arrived Isha noticed the demon and Reki instantly ingaged him in battle. The demon was very much humanoid in appearance and was losing the fight. Every strike with his claws or sword being parried or blocked by Reki. The demon was struck to the ground and she stood over him to deliver the final blow. Isha stopped Reki getting inbetween the strike, thus helping the demon. Seeing the fear in the demon's eyes she used her power to heal him, regretting she had noticed him. The demon's body heals and then fades away to a location unknown to them. Reki becomes furious and grabs Isha by the hair since she had caused her mission to fail and returns to heaven with her to report in. Upon being judged, Isha replies, "I have no regrets for helping the helpless." She was then cast down to the mortal plane, away from the brilliant view of heaven. The battle soon began to wage near her, both sides taking casualties, all of them regretting that they had fallen in battle and failed the trust of their general. She has the ability to reverse the damage of this war if fate smiles upon her. Was this planned or simply punishment?

Personality: You won't be considering in having a normal conversation with her without being intimitated by her appearance. She's not the type to constantly making friends, nor the 'forgivable' person either. Von is capable of holding a grudge longer than anyone she ever knew. Her cleverness is at but an average, however..coming from her mother's side, she has her devious moments. Von, however, inherited the worst persona mostly from her fathers side of the family. The negativity is basically being too stubborn, short-tempered, very quick-tempered, a tad bit reckless, and most of all: Vicious. Von lashes out to anyone who provoked her. She does have her good pointers...like being patient, confident, brave, and understanding. She'll have her reasons to not like you, and to add that..she must have a pretty good reason to not like you or said person.
Background: "It's a girl!" Her mother shouted in joy, but worry grew within the family. They knew giving birth and having a relationship with each other is a taboo thing, but love is love. Sure sure let's go on with the juicy part. Von was orphaned when her family was murdered for 'treason' to Heaven and Hell. Von wasn't sure what's going on when she was 7, but she knew the Angels and Devils/Demons meant trouble for her. Treated as an outcast, she had to fend for herself. No she is not depressed about her parents, instead..she took this advantage in training herself day and night. Von wasn't the types to mope around back then, and always kept her head forward no matter where or what she was forced to go through.

Growing up as a well-known Black Sheep just enhanced her thoughts about rebelling the whole idea of "heaven going against hell or hell going against heaven." Her dream was for both of Heaven and Hell to go at peace. Hah, that wouldn't go fulfilled the way things are going. Anywho, Von was planning to recruit members against this idea, anybody who is willing to end this stupid war. Her goal was to bring peace among every race, so far...she only had her cousin into that idea. She currently resides in Hell, where everybody keeps their distances from her.

Although she is half of an angel, she leans more to the Devil side, using the blade/sword rather than arrows or spears. Von isn't considered 'elegant' or 'gruesome' in her fighting style, more or less just...'swift' or 'quick on her feet' probably. Von inherited the ability to see the outcomes of the future, but..disappointingly, she's not able to do it at will. It just comes and goes. Zeffer is her sword that she sometime uses. It's about her body length, and it's aura is of bloodshed.
