Ah yes. The most discussed topic in the history of Kikyou Bashing. The 'interference' of KagInu. But wasn't Kikyou originally the lover of Inuyasha. Was it mere companionship and friendship? Was she greedy to become human. I have NEVER EVEN seen a episode of Inuyasha and I will do all I can to stand for Kikyou's rights.

The History of Kikyou and Inuyasha

The lonely shrine Miko met the lonely hanyou when the hanyou tried to steal the single object that sealed the Miko as a Miko. Eventually, their relationship grew, friends at first, then deeper as companions. Though one human and the other part human, they found comfort in each others company. One day, this hanyou asked his human lover what was the mystical object he had tried to steal from her earlier. She replied, it was her jailer, it bound her to be a Miko and never to be a normal human woman to love nor marry.

The two would never be together because of this single accursed Jewel. And if they could... it would still never be. A human and a demon-blooded human were shunned and looked down upon. And so to be together, they had to be creatures of the same blood and could respected. As humans. That would solve both their problems. If the Jewel was gone, the Miko would no longer be a miko, but a normal human. If her hanyou was human, he would no longer tolerate the insults to his 'half-creed' blood and so, he would become human as well.

The Flaws of Kagome and Inuyasha

Sure this could work out, but remember, there's 'Kikyou in the way'. Oh no. Shock horror. stare

But the problem is, Inuyasha DOESN'T love Kagome. He loves Kikyou as a friend, which is often misinterprerated as love. Simple as that. Sure, he feels ATTRACTED IN A FRIENDSHIP WAY to Kagome (and Kikyou) but he doesn't love Kagome. He thinks of her merely as a friend. And soon he also thinks of Kikyou as that.

The KagInu and Kikyou Bashers all say, "Kikyou, get over it! He's obviously in love with Kagome!" But that's not true. It's true that INUYASHA LOVES KAGOME. But he isn't IN LOVE with Kagome. He loves her as a friend, as someone to be nice to.

But shouldn't KAGOME 'get over' the fact that Inuyasha loves Kikyou and sees her as a friend. After all, you told KIKYOU to 'get over' Inuyasha, it should be fair to see if Kagome will 'get over the fact' that Inuyasha loves Kikyou, though he loves her as a friend which sadly Kagome doesn't know. Honestly, a stupid schoolgirl crush won't get her anywhere and she ACTS LIKE A SPOILT BRAT (no bashing) EVERYTIME SHE SEES Kikyou and Inuyasha together. Sure, she doesn't drag him down to Hell and steal souls, but acting like a spoilt brat over the fact that her friend loves another girl, IS REAL DAMNED MATURE.

Isn't the case of being hypocritical stupid? The Bashers are hypocritical, they go against everything about Kikyou but SHOULDN'T they also see if those flaws work on Kagome as well? Kikyou is Kagome in a way, Kagome is Kikyou in another way. Unless you want to Kikyou if she's evil, remember that Kagome is good because the two are like Yin and Yang. Two halves that will never be complete.

Oh, wait. A badass Kagome. Sounds nice. She might even seduce Inuyasha, great going InuKag shippers. A badass Kagome might actually be brave to kill demons, a badass Kagome could be stronger and determind. But remember, a badass Kagome would even be more stubborn, you DO want to collect the Shikon Shards so that the Jewel's complete and you can wish to be with Inuyasha, don't you? Please, give me a break. But then KIKYOU will be nice. eek Oh gasp. Shock horror. Kill me already.

Sure Kagome's making a sacrifice of her life to be with Inu-taichi and Inuyasha to collect the Shikon Shards, but isn't that an EXCUSE to be with Inuyasha more since SHE KNOWS that Inuyasha's only wish is to be full-demon. What then? Full Demon Inuyasha kills everyone in sight. No more wish used on the Shikon to be together and forever, the InuKag shippers dream. Yeah right.

Although we ALL KNOW that the InuKik and InuKag shippings never work out because they're MERELY FRIENDS, let's all drag Inuyasha to Hell with Kikyou and throw Kagome at Hojo. That's the way I wanna work things out, though I do prefer Kaggie-chan with Kouga... sweatdrop . Kagome's not gonna be with Inuyasha, you're SCREWING HISTORY up, she wouldn't even be an reincarnation by the time if she was, she would not even exist back in Tokyo. And if Kikyou died, well then Kagome would be good and bad, who knows what's she gonna do.

So concludes my case. Bye. I'm bored.

And no, I'm not bashing Kagome. And I love KK over IK... sorry... sweatdrop And actually, the whole show is mostly friendship, Inuyasha and Kikyou are friends, Kagome and Inuyasha are friends... Miroku and Sango have something close... ^_~... and Sesshomaru and Kagura? Hehe...

And Kikyou and Kagome will never be perfect. Kagome will always act a little immature when Inuyasha meets Kikyou and Kikyou will always act a little evil when she steals souls. No one's perfect that way... But I love 'em all the same... ^_^

in something i read the other day, kikyo and inuyasha do seem to get together and kagoma and sesshomaru are together.

as i was reading , i saw that kagoma was sesshomaru's miko
and kikyo was inuyasha's miko, soo i just thought i would say that because i thought it was interesting.

Of course, also Kikyo said in the first movie, Affections Touching Across Time, "You shouldn't see Inuyasha and neither will I." Is that trying to steal Inuyasha? Kagome can be annoying at times, but kikyo has her faults also. Every chacter has their faults I'm sure. OOPS! I think I'm just repeating the same stuff! Sorry about that sweatdrop
