Nyx walked into her house, for one of the last times. Alice had accepted her into the University and had told her that she was to move in in fewer than three days. Nyx was extremely excited about this. More excited than she had even been in her life. But she had one problem. Now she had to tell her mama and daddy. She loved them, more than anything in the world. She wasn't sure though if they would want her to go. Her mother was heavily pregnant and was due quite soon. She had mellowed out considerly since she had discovered she was pregnant and had become much protective of her. This had made Nyx's life much easier.
But there was still her father. The two had a very special father daughter bond, ever since little Nyx had been born. It was going to be difficult, leaving her father and her family, but little Nyx knew that this was something she just had to do. She needed to do this to prove it to herself. She walked into the room, where Persy and Kieran were spending a quiet afternoon alone. They were sitting on the couch, reading quietly. Persy was very large now, at the point of popping almost. She looked up and smiled. "Hello sweetheart." she said with a soft smile.

The Siberian male held up a finger, indicating quiet as he finished the last couple of sentences in his chapter. He looked up then and upon seeing his daughter beamed happily. After a small lapse in time he raised his head, looking her over, she seemed so much more tense then usual. Kieran knew why, that was the benefit of having a brother in high standing with the other territory leaders. Gently he set down the book that was in his hands and looked down, a few crinkles showing at the edge of his eyes, but nothing else gave him away.
“My precious, why do you look so nervous. Come here.” Kieran opened his arms to the girl, winking at her. He had yet to tell Percy… he had been terrified of her reaction, and he wasn’t quite sure that the rumor was true. Now though… he was sure he would find out.

Nyx stayed quiet, waiting for her Daddy to finish reading. She was still so nervous about telling them that she was leaving. She left that now was a good time to leave though, if she thought about it. After all her mama would have new kittens now, other kittens to love and overprotect but all the same they were very protective of Nyx and she couldn't help but feel that she was abandoning them. Nyx smiled nervously and walked over to sit on her fathers lap.
"Well Papa..." she said softly, looking over at her mother aswell before looking at her father. "Papa I was accepted into the territory of the University the other day and I really want to go." she said softly. "But that would mean that I have to move out of the mansion then..." she trailed off, waiting for her fathers reaction as well as her mothers.
Persy looked up from her book, her eyes wide. She didn't know what to say. Her little daughter wanted to move out of the house and into a territory all of her own. She didn't know what to say. She looked over at Kieran to see what he was going to say. She was trying to teach herself not to over react and she had found the easiest way of doing this was to check to see how Kieran reacted first.

Kieran sighed quietly, wrapping his arms around Nyx. “I do suppose you would have to leave the mansion. You know both your mother and I will miss you horribly, but it seems your mind is made up.” The Siberian sighed, running a hand through his hair and looking down, before tilting his daughters chin up to look at him. “You know that we will always love you, no matter where you are, just promise that you will visit frequently.”
Kieran looked over to Percy, trying to calm her with his eyes. He knew she would be panicking horribly at his words… Nyx was her baby girl, but Kieran had always been more lenient on her actions then Percy. He felt she had to grow up as normal as possible. “Percy dearest, she has one parents permission, but she needs another. Just know this before you decide. She has been practicing in a human ballet studio, with or without our permission. At least there she will be protected, and given a proper education in the thing she is passionate with. I do have one condition however.” Kieran added the last a little randomly to his speech, and with it his face darkened a bit.
Nyx was still his little girl, and one thing he would not allow he had to voice long before she left. Percy may actually chew him out for it later, but he had to let Nyx know how he felt on the situation, that much was firm and unbending. Dracal… was a no, with certain conditions.

Nyx smiled softly, nodding quietly. She was going to miss her family terribly, especially her father but she knew that she wanted to do this so badly that she would live with being lonely and homesick. "I promise I'll come visit you as often as I can Daddy. I'll miss you terribly too but I want to do this so badly. I love you too." she said quietly. She was making sure she didn't cry, which was difficult.
Persy looked back at Kieran and then at her daughter. She could see the determination and wanting in her eyes. She didn't want to lose her daughter but she also knew that this was something she really wanted, that this was something that would make her really happy. She sighed, her hand resting on her swollen stomach. "If that's the case then how can I say no...really." she said softly, shaking her head. "Of course you can go Nyx, if this is really what you want." she said with a soft smile. Persy then looked over at Kieran with a puzzled expression. "You have a condition?" Nyx looked over at her father aswell with an expression almost identical to her mothers.

Kerian gave a soft smile, one that showed how apprehensive he was about admitting out loud what he really felt. It had to be done though,for his own piece of mind. It was what he was most unwavering on. "Nyx dear, I know this is difficult for you to understand, but I don't want you seeing Dracal as frequently as you do now. You wont be under my wing anymore... and I know with starting a territory Alice will be quite busy. I want you protected... I have conditions about you leaving, because you are my baby girl and nothing will ever change that." Kieran bit his lip looking over at Percy, she would be pissed he knew, but he couldn't keep lying to himself saying that it wasn't happening when it was plainly obvious it was.
"Nyx I want you to to stop seeing Dracal as much, and I want you to keep your options open. He is your brother in all but blood, and I do not approve of what he wants or expects to come with that job. You are my daughter, just as he is my son. Nothing is going to change that... even my accident. Hate me for the rest of your life, or love me... but those are my terms." Kieran sighed, releasing his tight hold on his daughters waist. He had to let go, he had to allow himself to let go and give her space. Either she agreed or she didn't he would have to keep her from one of the things she was passionate about. I guess in the end it all fell on which she was more passionate about. Dance and learning to be free, or staying bound to one boy as though addicted. Her choice, her free will but it was obvious what he wanted her to choose.

Nyx listened patiently to her father. After all she knew that everything he said was in her best intrest even if she couldn't see why. She listened till he was finished and then sat there with her arms on her knees, thinking intensely. She knew that her father didn't approve of Dracal. She knew why and she knew that this spat had almost destroyed her family before. She knew that no matter how much she liked, maybe even loved Dracal that it wasn't worth her family being thrown into that chaos again. She looked over at her mother whom was also listening to Kieran speak.
Persy sighed looking at Kieran moving her hand over and squeezing his. She didn't perticularily like this, mainly because she believed that Nyx should be able to love whomever she wanted. But Persy knew exactly where Kieran was coming from and she couldn't help but believe that he should be able to put his foot down on this one. He believed in this so strongly that she would let him do this. She was going to stick by his side for this, even if she didn't fully believe in it. She stayed silent, letting Nyx answer her father. They would be a united front.
Nyx stayed silent for a bit longer before speaking. "I could never hate you daddy. You know that." she said softly. "I love Dracal...but I love you more so I'll do as you say. I can still see thim though right? Just not as often as I am now." she asked him, her eyes big. She was going to tell Dracal that she wouldn't be able to spend as much time with him anyway. She would just be so busy with her studies that she wouldn't have the time to go visit him in the park every day. "I want to go to the University so I'll live with your conditions. This is my dream."

Kieran sighed with relief. He felt like a complete a** to have to do this to his daughter, but he couldn’t really keep it from her if she wanted to grow up so badly.
“Yes you can see him, but I want to know that this is your passion, I want you to focus on your studies and be a good girl…. Without me or your mother to guide you around like we have your entire life.” Kieran looked away, hoping his mask of the calm collected cool parent hadn’t slipped in the least. It was painful to let his baby go… but she needed to follow her heart.
“I want you to be strong for us Nyx, and don’t forget your family in the exhilaration freedom brings.” Dutifully Kieran dragged a hand through his crimson hair and looked back to his daughter, his body rather then his eyes giving away his frustration and pain.
“I don’t want you throwing everything away for a guy that may not always be there.” He had been there… he had done that… he had lost her to his brother in the end, and she eventually died for it. The wheels of life were twisted, and if it were at all in his power he would keep his daughter from suffering the same fate as he did.

Persy squeezed Kierans hand gently, urging him on as he spoke. She knew that, even if she wasn't in one hundred percent agreement with him he still needed her support on this one, even if it was almost silent support.
Nyx nodded, listening to her father carefully. Never the rebel of the litter she knew that her father was right. She could have to concentrate on her dancing, especially since she was accepted into one of the most difficult of dance schools. She nodded. "I understand Daddy. I want to prove to you that I can be an amazing dancer and that this is my passion." she said with passion in her voice.
The pink haired girl shook her head, tears that had slowly crept up on her starting to fall. "Don't be silly. How could I ever forget my family. You know that it's the most important thing to me." she said softly. She was happy that she was doing this, that she was going out on her own. But leaving her family behind was one of the most difficult things she ever had to do in her young life. Her family, which supported her through her life and her family which she loved more than anything in the world. That was what she was leaving and it was difficult for her.
Nyx nodded, wiping her tears away. "...I think I understand Daddy." she said softly. "Don't worry I'll focus on my dancing, I promise." she said, sniffing slightly. It was starting to hit her now, how she was leaving them and how much she was going to miss them.

Kerian nodded, holding her to his chest and resisting crying himself. "don't worry sweetheart, we will always be here, you can always come back. Its not the end of the world." the Siberian petted his daughters hair with his one free hand, the other clasped tightly around percy's. It kinda felt like a bad breakup letting his daughter grow up, but it had to be done. She had to be independent or she would never grow stronger. Kieran sighed, lightly patting her back and standing up himself. "we better get your stuff ready princess, your getting a new palace now. I'm holding you to your promise though."

Nyx nodded softly, being comforted by the warmth of her fathers chest, soft tears falling and being soaked in by his clothes. She nodded softly. "I know Daddy. I'm scared though...excited but scared." she said quietly, her voice shaking. This was one of the most difficult thing she would probably ever have to do, she thought. She knew that she had to do this, to follow her dreams and do her best, but her family meant everything to his little girl and it was very difficult to let go. She laughing slightly. "Don't worry though, I'll be around to visit so often you wont know I'm gone, I can promise that." she said with a watery smile, her big tear stained eyes looking up at him. Persy gently squeezed his hand as they embraced. It was a sad day for them all but she knew and understood the special bond between the two. Nyx nodded. "Don't worry Daddy. I could never break a promise to you."

Kieran nodded, his lips pressing against one another tightly. He simply refused to cry. HIs little girl was growing up... all the others were out and about following their dreams, so why was this so... different? Kier reached down and brushed a strand of Nyx's light pink locks from her face, his mouth drawn into a tight line. "I'll hold you to that promise m'dear. And if you ever... ever want to come home for some reason... we will be here." He leaned into Percy's touch, his other hand petting his daughter.
"But be sure to remind the boys that will no doubt be drooling over you that even if im old now, I can and will protect my daughters honor." He smiled, finding he still had a sense of humor despite this unexpected turn of events.

Nyx nodded, her pink hair falling about her face. She was finding this far more difficult then she ever expected it to be. She assumed that she would be so excited to leave and go to the university that she would be bolting out the door. Now it was different though. Now that she was actually telling them that she was actually leaving that it had sunk in. She wouldn't be with her family anymore, the thing that was the most important part of her world for so very long. She nodded softly, whiping her tears from her eyes and smiling softly. "Don't worry daddy I wont be able to stay away very long, you know that." she was with a small grin. She was always going to be a daddys girl so she knew that she would be coming home as often as Alice would let her.
Persy giggled and blushed. "I really doubt that will happen Daddy but don't worry, I'll be sure to tell them if it ever does. I know that you can take anyone in a fight!" she said with a grin and sniffed slightly.
