Would it be morally fine for someone to live with friends of the opposite gender? This would be under the circumstances that all are just friends, and feel like family more than anything. Then you have the economy issue where rooming with someone saves money and all that.
Anyways, let me know what you think.

Ultimately, there is nothing wrong with a man and a woman living in the same house—if there is nothing immoral taking place. However, the problem arises in that there is still the appearance of immorality (1 Thessalonians 5:22; Ephesians 5:3), and it could be a tremendous temptation for immorality. The Bible tells us to flee immorality, not expose ourselves to constant temptations to immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 ). Then there is the problem of appearances. A couple who is living together is assumed to be sleeping together—that is just the nature of things. Even though living in the same house is not sinful in and of itself, the appearance of sin is there. The Bible tells us to avoid the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22; Ephesians 5:3), to flee from immorality, and not to cause anyone to stumble or be offended. As a result, it is not honoring to God for a man and a woman to live together outside of marriage.
I don't know if I really agree with this quote or not, but it seems to make a little bit of sense. Ultimately it comes down to how much moral integrity you have and whether or not you stay friends and don't go beyond that. I don't know your situation, so I'm hesitant to say much more about this, so I guess I can just leave it at that. I myself am on the fence on this issue.

If you feel like family, then that is good. That could also be very bad. I'm not saying that you are weak moraled, but if you know somebody very well then that could cause interest. That is just the nature of things. Jesus said to His disciples that, "The mind is willing, but the flesh is weak." If this is the only choice you have, then it all is determined by both of your firmness in your beliefs. Is the other person Christian? If you are Christ-centered, then you could have the will. Both mine and my girlfriend's primary love language is touch. But we have a strong dedication to abstain until marriage (because we do intend to get married after she has 2 years of college). Neither of us has the slightest intent to sleep together. Focus on God.

Technically... it's three of them, and none are remotely interested in me in that way.
As for their beliefs, one is a Christian, one is an Athiest, and one doesn't really know what to believe. (Odd combo, no? )

So it's you and three girls? Aside from the obvious problem with that, steer clear to keep your sanity!!!! As Spike quoted, it gives the appearance of sin. We need to flee that. Even if they are not interested in you and you are not in them, it still would be a heck of a situation. Try finding a same-gendered roommate. Much simpler that way. sweatdrop

I totally agree with Haven. Even if nothing's going to happen, people will still assume something's happening, and we're Christ's ambasadors so we shouldn't let that happen. I guess if you can convince everyone else that nothing's going on (if there's three of them, I'm sure it'd be easier to do than if you were sharing with just one) it'd be fine.

Actuallu, it's three guys... I'm the girl in the group.
Also, there are no girls I can room with... at all. Mainly because the only girls I know are either staying here, at a different college, or... well those are the only two reasons actually.
I've mentioned this to a couple of female adults, both Christian, and they don't seem to see a problem with it. Sooo... I dunno.
