Appearance: Surprisingly Marie looks only somewhat like her twin brother, Kaiden. Like Kaiden she has extremely dark hair, but her hair actually appears to have a color to it besides black, this color being indigo. It is easy for one to assume she had black hair though with the darkness of her hair. Her straight hair brushes her shoulders, but it cut from going any farther than that. Her eyes, normally a indigo color, change color depending on the surroundings. Matching her hair are her cat ears, and tail. In the dark her eyes shine their true color of a yellow. There is almost a feline look to them, but it is only slight and hard to notice unless focused on. Marie has both of her eyes covered from time to time with a headband of sorts simply becuase she doesn't need her eyes to 'see'. Marie is around 5'5'' the last time she gave any time to check that, and has a small build. All in all she doesn't appear to be someone to be worried about in a fight. She tends to wear clothes similar to her twin brother, but unlike Kaiden she enjoys wearing light clothes when the situation is permitting.
-Information-
Personality: Being much more energetic that Kaiden, Marie is an over all friendly and affable person. She doesn't push people away and is generally understanding. Marie has been known to lash out at people when she's in a bad mood, but those are rare. Even with her friendly nature, she tends to be rather shy of most people. Like Kaiden though she does have a tendency to just walk away from people she doesn't like, but usually she is a bit nicer about it.
History: Seperated a birth, Kaiden and Marie never once met one another. Situation's just went agianst them and while Kaiden was sent to an orphanage Marie was sent with her parents, a young couple who were barely adults. Marie didn't live with them long, only until she was five when the two were killed in a freak accident. Marie was left, much like Kaiden, without anyone to turn to anylonger. Marie's grandparents had shunned the her parents leaving her with no one left to go to. All's she had with her was a rumor of her twin still living somewhere else. Marie took that rumor and locked it away in her mind before starting on her way in an attempt to survive. She eventually fell into a clan of fighters, Toretin, who wanted nothing more than what appeared to fight. Marie was only a child, and yet still the clan took her in and helped to raise her.
The older Marie got the more she longed to find the twin brother she had heard rumors about as a child. Marie was fifteen when she first encountered the Shinigami Clan, but with her already being apart of a clan where her loyality would lay she did not even look further into the clan. It wasn't until three years later that she would meet Guy, and learn more about the clan. It was also in three years that she would meet her brother, whom she barely knew by apperance if not for his necklace. While she would send her brother off to join the Shinigami clan, she would stay as apart of the Toretin clan as their healer.
In the year of meeting Guy and Kaiden, Marie had become a secound leader to the Toretin clan. By this time she had unlocked her own potental in dealing with water and healing. (To be edited later)
Signifigant Items:
-Canteen of Everfilling Water: (Given to Kaiden) A canteen with a seal on it placed there by Marie. The seal draws on her own power and pulls water from the air into the container. In the hands of most people it has no effect, but with her blessing the canteen will work for anyone. To her the water in the canteen had a purifying property, but to others it just comes as water.
-Rain Blade: A sword whose singular purpose appears to be healing. While the blade itself does nothing for healing the water it draws is pure. The sword also has a spring in the handle of the sword that slowly collects water over time. This water is drawn from the souls of those lost. This water is a strong healing force and only small portions of it are needed to heal major wounds. The water cannot revive the dead though, not matter how great it's healing properties are.
+Abilities and Weapons+
Neko:
-Abilities: Being a neko, Marie has at least slightly enhanced speed compared to normal people, and her hearing is much better than those who are normal. Her relflexes are faster, much like Kaiden's, but she is by no means as fast as Kaiden is when Kaiden releases his seal. Marie can manipulate water in this state and have it do what she wishes. The water can also be used to heal wounds, though without her sword the healing process is alot more draining on her and longer. Her sight is superb in the dark being a neko.
-Weapons: With only one weapon on her person at all times, Marie weilds the Rain Blade while in this state. The near clear blade has an edge to it that can make short work of an enemy that decides she is an easy target. Her skill as a fighter is suprising for one who is a healer. It is known to all in Toretin that the blade adds to her energy reserves as the sword itself seems to draw energy from being near water.
Released (The Ice Witch): To reach this state Marie must break the seal on the Canteen of Everfilling Water. The seal was created by her, and while it gave the canteen the ability to draw water it also surved to keep part of Marie locked away, the dangures part. When like this Marie is nearly a completly diffrent person, cold and deadly. Marie does not have to even be near the Canteen of Everfilling water to break the seal either, and the seal has been known to break on its own due to Marie's life being in dangure. When like this her eyes shown a bright indigo color, explaining why her eyes change colors from light to dark.
-Abilities: While still having all the abilitys of her normal state, her control is skyrocketed and she even can cause the water to freeze at will forming ice, from which her name in this state is given. Her energy reserve is also bolster by a large amount giving her much more energy to use. The most important thing to being in this state is that ice forms in the air around her seemingly at random until she is attacked, at which point the ice forms to block attacks.
-Weapons: The main weapon in this form for Marie is a spear of ice that is formed around the Rain Blade so that the spear draws energy from the sword. The spear is actually double sided, with a blade on each end of the bar. At the limit of this form weapons, mainly swords and such, form all around giving Marie a near unlimited supply of weapons to use.
