Biography:
Naru was born as a second generation royal princess, in the long lost Darkfire Kingdom. Niece to the queen, she had a very special place in the hearts of the royal family. She was the first child born, and with being the oldest, she was asked to look after the direct royal children.
Her first duty was the care of the kings first born, Ariel Darkfire. Once Ariel was old enough and more experienced in combat, she was asked to watch over the 2nd born, the 1st son known today as Curio Darkon. Ariel would later keep guard over the 3rd born, the 2nd son who now refers to himself as Diablo Darkfire.
Naru had a great deal of responicibility in the kingdom. Her number one priority was to keep watch of Curio and train him in combat to protect the kingdom. Her training technique was unmatched by any other. She has the ability to jump into one’s mind and share her past experience with that individual. Giving this power the title of mental-imprinting, she literally passed on her own experience with anyone she trained.
Naru has 1 sibling, a hulking brute by the name of Valindil. She is also married to the blind elf, Faenaro Helyanwe. During one of her hunter training pilgrimage, she met this mysterious elf. At the time, he was only blind in one eye, which was a birth defect. The man intrigued her with his charm and they courted for quite some time before eventually being wed.
On the dark day of the kingdoms fall, she and a few select warriors, including Faenaro and Ariel, we send on a scouting mission. Word had been received that a man of darkness was on the horizon. He posed a great threat to the kingdom and it's people. Curio had suggested to the King that the group be dispatched.
While scouting an area alone with Ariel, they noticed a pillar of dark smoke rising from the direction of the kingdom. By the time they had gotten there, it was too late. Curio had assembled a small number of usurpers and began to destroy their home. Naru and Ariel split up to save as many civilians as possible.
All was lost. 90% of the kingdom had already been wiped out. The king and queen were dead and most of the royal guard was burning. The last thing she saw that night was the shadow of Curio disappearing behind a curtain of flame.
For nearly a century, she believed she was the only survivor. Until she met up with her brother. He explained that Curio was the mastermind who orchestrated the fall of the kingdom and that he and Faenaro played a role in the betrayal. From that moment, she has off-and-on been keeping tabes on all three traitors of the kingdom. Despite the fact that she loves all 3 dearly, she will never forgive any one of them.
One day, Naru followed Curio to a small village. It was far too late to save the village that Curio had already tore through, but she stayed behind to pay her respects. In the wreckage of the destruction, she found a journal of one of the village’s residence. The book belonged to a local miner names Dyvack Katsuya and it detailed a very dark past. The man was an ex assassin who quite for settle down and make a family in peace.
For months, Naru carried this book, with the odd feeling of need to return it to someone. She never understood these urges but held onto the book for keepsake. She felt that it brought a heavy Burdon and very supernaturally occurrences followed her everywhere. Along with a spirit of a black cat.
When she met the lad named Joseph Katsuya, the son of Dyvack, she felt it was appropriate to leave the journal with him. Upon giving the book away, the dark spirit never returned. It wasn't until several years later that she came across the boy once again, only to find that the black cat spirit had latched onto the boy’s soul. She also came to the frightening discovery that the two souls were living not only in harmony, but oblivious to one-an-other.
Deciding to spend some time with the lad, she trained him, much like she trained her past pupils. During this training, the cat spirit came out. She revealed to it that it resided within the body of a young man. The demon understood and requested to be kept a secret for the time. At least until they could entangle themselves. Something that had to be done on their own conditions.
Travelling with Joseph she eventually learned that the youngest of the royal children too remained alive, though the oldest had been lost long ago. She sleeked to find Diablo Darkfire and finally succeeded. Partnering with him, they banned together and brought down the menace, Barron Von D.
Despite having different ideas for the fate of Curio, Naru joined the clan that Diablo formed with Joseph and Joseph’s younger sister, Rikku. Now she is training Rikku and helping her as much as possible.
Naru has a very warm and nurturing personality, though she has a very dark past. Even so, she never lets her problems get in the way of her duties. Naru believes in a passive attitude towards fighting, thought she's never afraid to get down and dirty in the field of combat.
