Appearance Description
Sato Ikari is a relatively non-descript person, and he works hard to be that way. The side effect is that other than because of his hand, most people don't remember him. The man just laughs and answers "ninjas are supposed to be stealthy" when it is brought up.
His efforts to blend in have resulted in him dying his naturally brown hair to be black, fitting in with the vast majority of the men within his village, though sadly he cannot do anything about his eyes. He works hard to keep himself at an "Average" build, despite his training trying not to bulk up too much for fear of being marked as the muscles guy. He dresses to the role as well, refusing to wear anything "Personal" to mark him out as the rest of the students in his academy did. The black flak jacket he recieved upon achieving Chuunin Rank is always with him, a treasured possession, other than that he tends to wear short sleeved shirts, usually of a single solid dark color, black, navy blues, etc, blue or black jeans, heavy leather boots, usually with the pants tucked into them, and a roll of tape over both the boot and jeans to make sure they can't come loose. His shuriken are kept in a pouch tied around his right thigh, and other tools will be stored within his jacket as necessary. Of course he will change as necessary for climate considerations but will tend to stick with similiar "Drab" clothing to keep in with the local styles and help him blend into the comfortable background. The only other oddity to stick him out is his constant wearing of black gloves over each hand. Regardless of the practicality of it he is never seen without them, due to wanting to hide his false hand.
Personality
Rage and Envy, those could be the two emotions that would best describe Ikari. He has a large chip on his shoulder built up over years at the Village Hidden in the Leaves. In that time he was ignored, belittled, and constantly felt worthless compared to the "Gifted" and "Special" ninjas around him. This resulted in him not trying to stand out, trying to make himself as much a part of the background as possible. He realized he could never actually compete with the blessed children of the clans and these child progidies. But that realization didn't make things any better. It only worsened the resentment he felt towards them. He envied these people who were so talented they never needed to practice. And as he was ignored further (Aided by his own attempts to not stand out) the envy turned to rage. Recent events have only made it worse as between exams he was completely abandoned by his leaders, and during them was continually downplayed against the Golden Children.
History
Sato Ikari was born in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. His parents were good people, but they were not ninjas. They ran a strange restaurant in town, The Black Cat, and while having a fairly good life, pushed hard for thier son to do much better than they do. Thus from a young age they pushed thier boy into the Ninja Academy.
There Ikari found a rough time of it. He was, different, and he realized it. It was not in any way that was better than the other kids, quite the contrary. He found himself lagging behind, having to work twice as hard to get half as far. He was smart enough to do well on the theory, but application, along with his lack of natural talents (Everything came hard to him) just never let him get ahead.
Thus when he graduated, he was dead middle of his class. There was nothing to mark him as needing extra attention as a slacker, and nothing marking him as someone truly special deserving of attentions. He was old a Genin, and somehow found himself slipping through the cracks, without a team, without a elder ninja team leader. He was not even given missions, merely left to his own devices. He spent a lot of time alone near the lake during that period. The despair of his fate, soemthing that was supposed to be happy, exciting, fulfilling, all the things he was promised, turned into an isolated hell for him, delving into his training and a few lost relics he found in his home.

The only break in this state came when the Chuunin Exams were announced. Despite being a recent graduate, he was asked to participate, the first bit of life he had seen out of his supposed handlers. It brought a new life to the Genin as he met his new teammates, and a condescending woman, a Princess of the Cloud Village. This woman was everything he hated, the blessed child, an aristocrat, and she treated him like a piece of s**t, unworthy of her efforts or even treating him like he was a dangerous opponent as she merely toyed with her Bloodline Gift and refused to take him seriously.
He won that fight however. And this was the bright spot in his otherwise dim life. He took down a spoiled brat princess. The proof in his mind that hard work and will could defeat the quirks of birth. This spoiled brat became enamoured with him, for a reason he could not fashion. Even going so far as to stalk him in the hospital and swear a blood oath in his name, eventually.
The second round saw Ikari in high spirits. He took a ROYAL down a peg, there seemed to be no limits. But sadly he ran into Rikei. He went into the fight thinking Rikei was like everyone else in the village. He fell for a ploy based on that, and lost his left hand in an explosion. Of course, not done, Rikei also gave him an acid bath for good measure and unleased another explosive before the the proctors finally figured that calling the fight would be a good measure.
Thus he spent several weeks in bed, getting treated by the Lady Hokage herself, among others, and recieving an artifical hand made by a Suna Puppet Master (Due to drugging and some misunderstandings he believed the man did it only to pay a debt, a debt which he assumed and would have to pay off to the Lady Hokage).
But soon it was all over. His hand was working, and he was forgotten once more. Yesterday's trash he went back to his isolationist hell and was worse off than before. He was VERY ashamed of the loss of his hand, the only thing that anyone he met afterwards ever remembered him for. It was a dark time, and he could have really used a good friend in this fragile period.
Sadly all he had was the Devil Child Ikihana. Some mutant 10 year old who wasn't even aware of basic chakra usage, or even what chakra was, who was on the fast track, watched over by the Lady Hokage herself and trained personally by the head of the Hyuuga Clan. It was the last straw as he met her, and he decided then to do something about it.
He brought the young Ikihana under his wing, or at least tried to. And taught her what little he knew and could figure out for himself in the absence of any tutors or mentors himself. She became his friend, or at least as close as he ever had to one, and his test subject. A vague idea was forming in his mind, something he was grooming himself and her for that was never to be as Ikihana disappeared from the village.
Alone again unti lthe next Chuunin Exams. Held in a faraway land he had not even heard of before. Regardless Ikari made the trip, without orders and without asking permission. They had forgotten about him for so long, he doubted they cared anyway. Once there he found a place to hole up in the town and await the exams.
It was, in many ways, worse than the first. He could hear the proctors stating who was going to win before the fights even started. Everyone there was a golden boy, though it was obvioius some were given advantages over others. He fought a strange woman who was tougher than 5 men, and who had a weapon that could cripple him without ever even having to touch him. Despite brilliant work on his part, and the inability of his enemies to do any real harm, the proctors still failed his team.
It was in that "Loser's Bracket" he met the Rapist. A strange shapeshifting creature which locked him in a Genjutsu and tried to violate him right there in the exams. She became his nemesis for a long time to come. He managed to paralyze her and detonate a bomb on her, but she came back at him, at full strength, mere minutes later. He brawled with her, delivering solid strikes, locks, and throws that seemed unable to phase her. He would have died there, if not for the intervention of some creature which brought a halt to the exams.
There the Rapist and Ikari were forced to team up, for the time being, to go after an escaped criminal. One that apparently everyone else BUT him had been told about. It was here he met Ikihana again, and watched as turned her back on him, despite him putting his neck on the line to save her. A final betrayal as he went into this last battle confused, demoralized, and empty.
Somehow, he survived. Even when the S Ranked Criminal Roen Jaeger came to pick a fight with him. But through it all, the rigging, the death, the betrayals, the surprise guests, he was given his chuunin's jacket.
And right afterwards, on his way home, ran into a deranged woman whom he refers to only as "Fishboobs" as she seems to be some part human, part fish female from the Land of Water. She was looking for a strange man, which he had agreed to help find (As if the Village was going to give him a mission after all). But before that quest could begin, they were ambushed by two thugs.
Next thing he knew, it all went dark. He awoke in another hospital, a sexy glasses nurse hovering over him.

A jutsu invented and developed by Ikari between exams. It creates a single thick strand of physical chakra upon Ikari's wrist which wraps around a touched target bodypart, forming a bond between the two that cannot be broken unless the jutsu is interrupted or his ability to maintain enough chakra and concentration to keep it going. There is no "Chain" between the connection, his wrist and the target bodypart are locked together touching. Developed from a cross theory between Puppet Control Jutsus and the physical activations needed for water and wall walking.

Silver Mountain Blade Catch Jutsu

Allows the user, with palm spikes to "Catch" a bladed slash coming in at him. He does so by "Clapping" on the blade mid strike, using the palm spikes to stop the momentum of the strike (Seemingly catching it with his hands), and wrapping his fingers over the back of the blade, effetively trapping it in his hand. This is often combined into a disarm and counterattack.
