RHPS is one of the most successful cult films of all time. Released in 1975, it still plays in many theaters across America today. An amazing homage to 50s horror and sci-fi movies in a musical and comedy form. There is a remake of this movie in the works, and MTV may be presenting it sometime this year.

Shock Treatment is the "sequel" to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The story and the music were written by the same man who wrote Rocky Horror. That man also starred in both Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment (He's on the Shock Treatment cover). Many other actors return for this zany sequel. While still amazing, it has a completely different mood and presentation than Rocky Horror, which made it very unsuccessful with audiences. This is also the movie that inspired my last two names on Gaia, DrCosmoMcKinley, and my current one The Amazing Bert Schnick.

Having many of the same origins as Rocky Horror, and 2 of the inspirations for this movie being Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment, it's no doubt that I'd love it. It's a mix of horror, comedy, and musical. A genuine Rock Opera movie. Takes it's place among the top cult movies of all time.
