Here's an idea that has been born:
Fandom factions within the guild.
These would be like mini teams/clubs within the guild itself,
based around characters, like Team Dean, Team Sam, etc,.
These factions would be purely for fun,
and used in the occasional contest or so.
It would be easy to switch between factions,
and again, it would be for fun only- no misbehavior by one
faction towards another would be tolerated.
The idea hasn't been completely fleshed in yet,
we don't know if there will be one sub forum for them all,
or one sub forum for each. (I'm for one for all,
but we could technically do it either way; gold isn't an issue at this point.)
One member of the guild crew would head each one.
(crew can be added as needed)
We need your help deciding how it should work though~

I like the ones that are listed in the first post *point* A Ruby one would be neat too biggrin I'd join the Dean one, obviously xD *total Dean fanatic*

I'd say one for each, because I'm a neat-freak and that would make it look... tidier xD But whatever works lol

I really don't know xD I have a few ideas (fanfic contest, art/drawing contest, avatar contest maybe?, trivia contests) But I don't know how they would work if the contests were faction vs. faction.
1. Fanfic contest - people from diff. factions could write fanfics (obviously :p) then everyone could vote on them, and whoever has the most votes wins? I dunno.
2. Art/Drawing contest - Same with fanfic, except... y'know. Art and such xD
3. Avatar contest - See who can make their avatars look most like the characters from the show? I think that would be amazingly fun xD
4. Trivia - Does this need explaining? LOL
But yeah, just tossing some random ideas out there ^.^

I was thinking, if we have like a BUNCH of factions, we could be in more than one (with like a two faction limit or something). Because. Srsly xD It's very difficult (for me, at least) to choose between Dean and Cas LOL. And I'm sure I'm not alone here wink

I would join a Castiel faction. A Dean faction, if there was no Castiel faction, but I can't imagine why we wouldn't have one. xD But Cas-faction is the only one I'd be going into. biggrin
Pie, woman. PIE. Pumpkin though. I'm not sure that apple pie was actually worth it.
I have no ideas as far as competitions, though when Ana up there suggested fanfiction and not being sure how the factions would battle - My first thought in response to that would be this:
---Castiel faction, for example, would POV Castiel - depending on the setup, guidelines would be made at the time of the contest - but the faction would base around their specific character. Maybe everyone has the same prompt or so.
I don't know though. xD Like I said, I don't actually have contest ideas. I'm a little lame right now. razz But that was my first thought in response to that.
Of course I like it! I'd MARRY it if I could. ;D
I'd just like to add is about factions: threads or subforums?
SUBFORUMS pros: Each faction has it's space and doesn't have the opportunity to drown out the other factions by more activity in one that the other. They'd all look equally as awesome.
Cons? The only one I have depends on how many we'd end up with. I mean, if there was every main character plus a Mary Winchester and an Andy Gallagher faction, it'd start to make the top of the guild look over whelming - which is the con of threads.
That could be solved with a "minor factions" subforum, and those factions could simply be separated by thread. Then both ideas would be put into use.

Yeah, actually I do! I just didn’t see the thread up there in announcements till a second ago. D:
But I would really like to see this. Get some competition up here, it's good for the blood.

Making toast is the best when you spread butter on it and let it melt then spread a layer of jelly or preservatives. Yum. < 3

I really like the idea of having the minor factions
in one and then the major ones getting their own.
But then the question becomes,
how do we differentiate between the two?
I'm assuming that the Sam, Dean and Cas ones would be major...
but what of the others? I'm still all for a neutral party,
since there's no way I could chose between those three.
I'm thinking maybe you can join up to two of the major factions,
and then as many minor ones as your heart desires~?
So a neutral one would be for us indecisive people who can't
take the stress of choosing. xD
Those are awesome contest ideas though-!
Is it sad of me to say that I'd love to see a SPN fanfiction contest
here just because there will never be enough of it out there for me~?

No one else is a main character anyway - and the rest are only our favorites out of each other - none of them beat one of our boys, you know? And neutral is very good, you as an example, having difficulty choosing. And we shouldn't make anyone! xD

I also had another thought about those contests - if we had contests within factions - couldn't we have contests against other factions? Pick and choose your opponent kinda thing? I'm not sure how the contests would roll in the first place, but you know. xD
ANYWAY. I WANNA TALK ABOUT THIS PIE NOW. (which means, my thought process died there. ;D) Pumpkin is ftw, and melty butter is made of yum. <3

But I basically agree with what's already been said.
I'd have to join Team Dean, Cas has stolen all his fangirls!
I'd love to see the fanfiction contest, I'd love to have a try out on here as you guys scare me less than the other fanfiction critics, haha.
As for other contests, maybe something like a sneak attack on other forums?
Maybe having to go round different forums and sneak a quote from the show into a discussion or what have you.
I know what I meant.
And I like pie.

I'm really confused as to how this all will work, (what else is new..) but i'm sure once it starts i'll be able to understand and get it.
I also agree with everything that has been said before. Once I can look at it and everything it seems like it would be a lot of fun.
But I will say this...

Those sound like mighty fine main factions to me. :3
For the contests,
It could be one faction vs. one faction,
or one faction hosting one for the others,
or free-for-alls, or process-of-elimination~~!
It would just depend on who wants to hold a contest,
and how. c:

Minor factions...I have to come out and say CHUCK needs a faction. Why? Because outside my love for the boys, CHUCK is made of win.
There aren't many characters, but I guess if people think Madison should have a faction or something...xD I think those can be added as people want them. *nods*
And srs business! pirate Oh yeah.
(Slightly pointless post...D: ) Oh, I also figure Bobby and...John. xD will be needing factions. Those are two of the most obvious I can think of.
And who mentioned ice cream. :O I WANT ICE CREAM AND PIE NOW.

Art contests would be cool, but I have absolutely no talent in that area. But fanfiction I could probably do.

We (the crew) have chosen the four main factions
that will get their own sub forums.
They are as follows:
Team Dean
(Most likely headed by a walking blasphemy and Danielle Chase)
Team Sam
(Lead by Kjonasgal_8 cool

(Lead by No_eight?
