The guilds are becoming a mess and we need to work on cleaning them both up. Its important that both guilds are functioning so that we can play against each other. Making this plot work is most important. Hell, imagine if all the guilds but one were filled with Steve Irwins!
Seasoned vets are encouraged to participate. And I highly suggest both crews take members from the previous plots to help fix this mess and handle the influx.
I do believe both guilds need public threads for the masses.
Leave all competition outside. This is about making a viable plot. Mechanics NOT storyline.

Mmm, I'm sure nobody wants a thousand of those running around.

I think we just need to all have more crew to moderate, keep up with join requests, and kick out probable trouble makers...

I suggested a joint public guild to weed out people and allow for the masses to feel like they're apart.

Which will become hard to accomplish.
Both guilds are plot based, as such they are only interested in event plot. And it just so happens the event is a versus event.
In this case: Members = Event minions The more the merrior, regardless of the quality. SIN just happens to be the only one with a questionnare for the joining process. sweatdrop

I saw a thread where the person was just posting "SIN is R eveel and so am eye" Thats too much. If we do a joint plot Guild with a SIN base, and a BOO base and two application threads for both like we did with Zurg- we can measure dedication and literacy while allowing the masses to feel a part of it. Call it the BOO and SIN battlegrounds Guild.

Sure, they may be the ones coming up with the rules and further requirements, but others are happy with how things currently are.
The only thing I see happening is a bountiful crew to relocate threads. People still need fodder.

X-P Fodder could be found in the joint Guild.... but point taken.

I'm kinda with Sushi on this. I like having the form because it shows us whose at least literate, but beyond that, we're probably just going to increase crew to try and handle it. Trying to maintain a join request thread with the sheer volume we've been getting would be damn near impossible and would cause us to have to divert attention from the actual guild, which should be the priority. If the numbers weren't this high I would be all for that, but we're LITERALLY getting a join request every 10-20 seconds. That's sadly not an exaggeration... I wish it was X_X

Here's what I suggested in the B.O.O. guild's thread about this: I Here are things we need to do: - Make the guild private, if we haven't already. It's fine if it's not hidden, but we've already got members cluttering this place up as it is. We don't need non-members doing the same thing. - Find a system for who to accept and who not to accept, just to keep it literate in here. We should stop accepting new members until this system s finalized. - Find a system of organizing the threads in the guild; I was thinking something along the lines of what the Panther Syndicate has (although, come to think of it, none of you are probably members; I'll explain it later). - When all the rest of that is done, make a clear list of rules and make an announcement thread with all our rules, systems, etc. clearly outlined, just for the benefit of everyone in the guild. When all's said and done, I kind of envision this as like the team forum for the event, but without all the illiteracy/spam/FREE ART LOL. It should be a place for people who want to drop in and discuss the event in a polite and considerate manner. Obviously, we've got a time limit of about 5 or 6 days to get this going, or everybody will just use the team forum instead. And as far as weeding out the undesirables goes, I'm all for that. I hate to be callous, but this shouldn't be a place for just everyone to come d**k around. That's what the event forum is. Let's keep from being elitist, but make this a place for literate and civil people who can think before they hit Submit. As far as immediate action, I'm basically scrubbing our main forum of all things not implicitly related to event speculation. I think we're going to need a clean slate in order to make this kind of far-reaching change. I'm afraid that mass bannings may be in order as well, but I think that all the B.O.O. mods should deliberate at length before taking such drastic action.

The problem I've been having with removing spam is that I've already gotten rid of stuff not related to the event, and it's still cluttered with threads of noobs asking the same questions over and over. I think my methodology is going to be to answer all the questions, then 'box it. A little extra effort, but I want to be fair to everyone.

There was a post in a thread I just moved - the context of the post is irrelevant, as it went as follows: Some Goddamn s**t I RESENT THAT! I'M NOT EMO OR 13!! I'M SCENE AND 15!!! If I wasn't galvanized to swift and merciless action beforehand, this did it for me.
