 After a recent trip to home territory, Diayna found herself feeling enclosed by the familiar. She enjoyed seeing her family, but found her brother moody and she was still a little jealous of her sister's family. It was not long before the wanderlust struck her again and she was away, this time turning toward the north.
She'd heard rumors of strange b'alam living in colder climates beyond the jungle and that some had begun to move south into the lands inhabited by the other b'alam species. Diayna had done some high flying so the idea of cooler temperatures was not a deterent. She was curious to see what she might discover even if it meant leaving all she knew behind.
"Still if the rumors are true I won't need to go all that far." The coral toned yaxun was settled on a tree branch resting from a morning of flight and an afternoon hunt. She considered her options as she went about post-meal grooming. Traveling alone gave her a lot of freedom, but she needed to be cautious as well. The spot where she had hunted this afternoon was quite lovely and apparently unclaimed territory. "I could always settle in for a few days," she remarked looking down and taking in the lay of the land.

 Morpheus had been exploring for a while not near the edge of the jungle. He had gotten used to the higher temperatures compared to the temperatures back home. His paws padded silently, traveling on a path which hadn't been traveled recently. One which had been grown over a bit with the under brush of the jungle.
He paused in his travels glancing up at the clear sky. There were few clouds in the sky, a beautiful day for travels. The temperature was warmer then most days had been, making him warmer then usual. "Still haven't gotten used to it fully," he muttered softly to himself. His mind wandered a bit as he continued down the rough path, wondering who or what he may meet today.

Diayna dozed on her branch when the sound of somethign larger moving through the brush below caught her attention. Since she was interested in the territory, the winged cat peered down wanting to know what was around. She suspected some larger prey animal but she couldn't quite tell. Curiosity brough her fully awake and she stood stretching legs and wings. A quick debate and she refolded her wings tightly to her side and slowly slipped down the tree to the ground and sniffed around. Startled she gasped at the scent of another large cat having passed by and not the deer she had suspected.
Diayna looked up wondering if she should take to the sky or track on the ground. Though she had a winged creatures fear of being grounded she was the daughter of a ground dwelling b'alam. Afire with curiousity she followed the barely desernable path....

Morpheus' pace slowed as a flying insect crossed his path. He pace soon stopped as he began to observe it watching it with curiousity. He hadn't seen an insect before, it was too cold for them to exist where he came from. He had no name for this unique flying insect. There was still much for him to learn of this warm place. He watched it for a while before it flew off and out of his reach.

As carefully as she stalked it still didn't take long for Diayna to catch up to her "prey." She was surprised to spot the long-furred male paused observing a butterfly. Diayna ducked into the brush around the path and circled around to get a better look at who she'd found. She couldn't help grinning at his curious expression as he watched the butterfly until it flew off. Her own curiosity finally got the better of her. Diayna, grin on her face, stepped out of her hiding place. Her wings were partly spread and she was ready to leap to the sky should the male make a threatening move at her approach.

Morpheus took his attention off of where the butterfly had gone off to seeing movement in the corner of his eye. His head turned as he faced the female. Another winged on it seems he thought to himself his mind trailing back to the younger winged one he had met earlier. Though it looks like this one's wings work. He stared at her for a while taking in the colors and patterns on her fur, a bit in aw of her wings. Half of him wished that he had wings and was able to fly, oh how much more he could explore if he did so. Finally he spoke a small greeting, "Hello."
