Persy let out an exhausted sigh, the many hours of labour before being instantly forgotten as she did. She had spent the last 5 hours in labour and giving birth to the three beautiful kittens that she had now curled up against. She had spent the time holding Kierans hand, with Nyx waiting patiently in the room outside. She didn't want to see the birth of her new siblings because of the blood and general ickiness involved. She looked down at the beautiful kittens, hardly believing that they had all come from her, healthy and happy, mewling softly. There was only one slight problem.
The black kitten. The black kitten which was so obviously not Kierans. The black kitten that was the daughter of a now decesed rapist. It was one of the things Persy had been most concerned about. She had been terrified that all the kittens would have been that horrid cats. But it was clear the other two were very obviously his kittens, they had his eyes (with a small bit of her own) and many other features of his but the black one, with her bright amber eyes was in no way his kitten. She looked up at Kieran with a small, exhaused smile as she continued to hold his hand. The last kitten made eight. Eight kittens Persy had given birth too. She was determined that this family would turn out right.

Kieran sat next to his love, though a bit pale. So… much… blood, he fidgeted, staring at the kittens with pride, but one… just that one. Inwardly he winced, it would hurt her he knew. All the same, he would treat it like his own. Seeing the twins curled up made him smile, he and his brother had been the same, born three seconds after one another… but complete opposites.
He smiled, nuzzling into her back and lightly touching the kitten’s backs. They had always made him nervous… seeing as how delicate they were. Reaching over he plucked up the little black kitten in his large hands and rolled over, petting her where she rested on his chest. He couldn’t help but love her, despite the obvious… problems. Though her eyes reminded her of Percy’s and not the random stranger he had gone after. The twins nuzzled into Percy more for warmth and he couldn’t help but smile. He loved his girls, and he had gotten two out of this litter. Four boys and four girls, he couldn’t ask for more.
Sighing quietly Kerian wished, that his family would stay together, and maybe just maybe bridge the old losses. The Siberian kissed the neck of his love, still holding the black kitten close to his heart. It would have been far worse on her if she had ended up being a boy.

Persy sighed happily, moving her head and nuzzling Kieran. She was exhaused sure, but she was so happy. Happy that the kits had all come out happy and healthy. She could feel their heat nuzzling into her, where she had curled up around the. She opened her eyes, looking down at them with a small smile. They were tiny and perfect. Everyone of them.
Persy watched with a tired joy and happiness as she watched her beloved fiance pick up the small black kitten, with such love and care. It made her happy, to see him so readily accept her. Persy knew that he was going to, he had promised this to her when she had first told him that she was pregnant. There had never been any guarrentee that any of the kittens would have been Kierans in the first place. She nuzzled the twins softly, carefully and kissed Kieran on the side of the cheek.
The little black kitten purred at her 'fathers' touch, burying herself into his chest. She looked up at him, her eyes huge and amber. They had the same sort of look as her mothers as she mewled softly at her father in a shaky voice. Persy couldn't help but grin as she heard thing and whispered to Kieran. "I think she's trying to say hello Kieran." she said softly, happily.

Kieran stared at the kitten, a slow smile spreading on his lips, she may have been a strangers daughter… but he was hers now, and that stranger would never be back to claim her. It was for the best the black kitten was a girl, they were Kieran’s weakness… if it had been a boy as he had feared he would have treated him with indifference, despite efforts not to. He lifted her up lightly, kissing the top of her head and then lowering her to tuck into his jacket. It must be cold… randomly just coming out into this loud, pressure filled place… no wonder why kittens cried.
Leaning over like a curious kitten he looked at the others, they were all so frail… why were they so… small? Had their last litter been this tiny? Reaching over he plucked up another, curious… Kieran was always curious around kittens. He stretched out on is back, a girl in each hand. They looked so different, but both were obviously their mother’s children. It tickled him however, to see how similar their colorings were to himself. He loved them instantly. His eyes widened a bit at the sound of her voice and he looked over at Percy, afraid he hurt her… instantly calming with what she said… hello. First hellos…

Persy couldn't help but watch Kieran, no matter how exhausted she was. She watched him with big loving eyes, watching him bond with the kittens for the first time. Of course she had been carrying them for the past few months so she was bonded to them already. They always say that a female becomes a mother as soon as she finds out she pregnant but a male doesn't before a father until he sees the kittens for the first time. Persy could see it, the love in Kierans eyes, especially for his daughters. She rolled over on her side, letting the little male nuzzle into her.
Persy then smiled happily. "Kieran..." she said softly, her voice quite distant from tierdness. "...can ideas what we should call these little ones?" she asked softly. She looked down at the little male kitten nuzzling into her. "They need to have great names." she added. She couldn't help but grin as he took the other girl and put them in each hand. She could see the love in his eyes. All she had now was pure hope that this family would go well. She could see it in his face that it would.

Blushing heavily he looked at the girls, then to the boy. "w.... well, I honestly thought that is the mothers job... They have to have god and goddess names... I just... am not entirely sure." He lifted each girl up carefully, biting his lip as he did so. His gaze shifted from one green/orange pair of eyes to the other of Orange/red. "I... have always admired the goddess Athena..." he mumbled, then blushed. Kieran was trying his best not to pick favorites as he had done last time, but it was rather hard, girls... no matter what the age had always been his passion.
Cautiously he handed the girls over to their mother and took up the boy in his hands. He had such a strange expression it was hard for Kieran to make out. Setting him back down he snuggled into the female cat that had given birth. "I think it should be your decision. Maybe Nyx's as well if you wanted someone else's opinion that didn't fail so horribly at naming things. I mean look at Ishtar, I named him after a goddess for love and he turned out to be a d**k." The Siberian shrugged lightly, that was what happened when he tried to make decisions for himself.

Persy looked down at the kittens and the over at Kieran, smiling softly. "Hum...Athena...I like that name. It's pretty and intelligent." she said quietly, looking at the little girl who looked quite a lot like her father. She had intelligent eyes, like her fathers. "I think it suits her...you know." she muttered, licking the kitten softly. "She has very mature eyes...very like yours." she said with a small smile before looking at the other kittens. She had been thinking of names before she had them. But she wasn't expecting the little black female so quite a few of her name ideas had gone out the window there. As for the boy...
She laughed at his comment. "I don't think that's your fault love. I'm pretty sure he's not like that all the time anyway..." she added with a soft smile, looking down at the little boy. His eyes were really easy to read, like an open book but bright, fantastically bright. "Phosphor..." Persy muttered quietly, looking at the kitten with a serious expression. The kittens ears pricked up and he mewled gently. "You know...I think he likes it."

Kieran smiled softly, lightly stroking the top of his baby’s head. “Anyone would love the names you pick my dear. As for the other… She needs to be a goddess… but I always have been fond of Shakespeare, are there any Shakespearean goddesses?”
He knew it sounded silly, but the whole situation reminded him of a exert out of an Shakespearean play. His daughter just happened to be the product of some twisted playwrights imagination. Kieran shifted a bit out of awkwardness. It wasn’t right for him to think like that, she is not a thing, she’s his daughter. A product of his…. And his loves … extracurricular activities… and that damn black dress.
Yes it was the dress’s fault. She was black because of the dress. …. Just keep telling yourself that Kieran and perhaps you will believe it.
Ah well, he had done all he could, her biological father was dead, and he was the closest thing she would ever have. A bit depressing, but true all the same.

Persy smiled, nuzzling into Kieran as she looked at the last kitten that needed to be named. A Shakespearian goddess huh? In truth Persy didn't know to many herself. True the cat read a lot but she wasn't completely familiar with the works of shakespear.
But then she though of something. "What about Hemera?" she asked him quietly, looking at the kitten with intense eyes. She wanted the perfect name for this one, after all she knew already that this kitten would have to go through enough in her life. She looked so different that it was as clear as...as day.
"Hemera is the godess of the day. I know it seems odd because she has black fur but what do you think?" she asked him kindly. She could see Kieran looking at her, his thoughts unsure. She had an idea of how he felt. After all it was so obvious that she was not his. But she also knew that Kieran would be a wonderful father to her no matter who her biological father may have been.
The black kitten looked up at him again, her large amber eyes looking at him shyly and quizically as though sussing out who he was to her. She then gave out a tiny mewl towards him.

Kieran smiled at the mew, touching her head with a finger and watching it bob so easily. They were so.... fragile, it still scared him. The Siberian curled up more tightly around Percy, drawing back his hand to run through Percy's hair. He purred softly, paying his other hand out for the kittens to crawl on if they so pleased. "Hermia... I like it. My namesake means from darkness you know, and im lighter then Aidan, who's name means fire." The male nuzzled into his mates hair, watching her and the kittens lovingly. Perhaps this time.. just maybe, it would work out without issues.

Persy looked down at her kittens with a very soft smile, the exhaustion starting to catch up with her. When she had gotten to see them first she was beyond ecstatic but now the exhaustion was starting to catch up with the female. She purred gently, feeling the warmth of her fiance up against her. "Yes well sometimes I suppose names don't always fit their owners personalities. But I believe in trying to pick names that will lead children in the right direction in life, I suppose." she said quietly, starting to fall asleep as she spoke.
She was happy now. She had a second chance at a happy, perfect family. This time she would be a better mother, this time she would be the best mother possible. The past was the past and this moment right now was perfect. She feel asleep, her new kittens and her fiance nuzzled into her. Her life couldn't be more perfect then this moment.
