Renesme Carlie Cullen was still a young mare, a little naive and rough around the edges. Always learning and enjoying life to the full. Yet as everything else started to slot into her life she wondered about the mother she never knew. Alice and Jasper had told her what they could remember of her but it never seemed to fill the empty space within her heart -and so curiousity began to sink in and grip her with a unquestioning fury. So much so that after months of sleepless nights and discussions with Rune she finally decided to seek the mare who brought her into the world.
However despite her curiousity she held questions. So many questions.
Why had she left her behind? Did she love her? Did she have other children now? A mate? Did they mean more than she did? Why had she not come looking for her? Would she like her mate? Would she approve of how she turned out?
The list was endless and with each question new ones seemed to unfold. It was for these answers and to meet her mother that caused the young mare to venture so far from home, her little wings flapping desperatly to keep a float above the land so lush and green that it seemed mother nature herself was present to tend to it. The flowers bloomed, and even from this distant she could see her faviourite in bloom -the roses that she loved so much. Beside her was Rune, whose large powerful wings seems to have no trouble gliding and drifting effortlessly in the sky. He always looked so free in the air and she envied him a little for the ease he found flying.
From the instructions Alice and Jasper had given them they needed to head South for three days before stopping before the great mountain. It was around this area that Bella -her mother- was last seen. of course that meant they would have to search forests and plains, lakes and rivers, all in the effort to find someone that may not even be here anymore. There only hope was to get lucky -find someone who knew her or her family (if she had one) and could point them in the right direction. Of course the chances of that where slim. Yet there was always hope. Alice said that Bella always told her that if her daughter wanted her she would there -perhaps that would show itself to be true in her time of searching? Only time would reveal the secrets of the future to come. May it be kind.

Rune was truly and wonderfully happy, smiling at how much life was being to look up. To have lost Rene for so long and then suddenly have her back in his life was... was just amazing!! He turned to look at her, to make sure she was keeping up alright and not tiring. After many past discussions Rene decided to venture out in hopes to find her mother. Rune hoped that they had made the right choice to seek out Bella, Jasper had called her that. Rune couldn't stand to see her hurt and if Bella were to- He sighed and shook his head to get ride of negativity.
" Let me know when you want to stop okay love? We have all the time in the world, I don't want you running yourself down." He looked at her sternly and winked playful to lighten the mood. " We certainly chose the right time to leave the air and weather isn't so bad." The light breeze moved through his hair and he flew above her to play with her hair to keep her mind off of worrying.

A light breeze played through the leaves above the mare's head, the wind trickling down to tease her mane and tail. Armor, fashioned after her father's, glinted in the light. She wore the metal proudly, though not for the same sense of honor as her sire. He was a protector, and while she had her own sense of justice modeled after his... one could say it was modeled, well... loosely. Sure she had her streak, particularly towards her family and the blue ferret that usually accompanied her, but... well, let's be frank, shall we? Edana was a thief, a criminal as clear and blunt as they came. She liked her shinnies, and she'd be damned if anything would keep her from her goal of acquiring them. So why would she wear a knight's armor with pride?
It was a sign of her heritage, of course.
A sign of her blood's honor and pride, just as the bracelet looped around her foreleg was a sign of her mother's love and determination. The silver heart and chain chimed softly as she walked, a comforting sound that always brought her mind back to cold nights spent curled up with her sister and parents within the warm cave that was their home.
A lazy smile lit her features as she made her way steadily through the forest, passing through the thinning trees as she headed towards a clearing. No reason in particular, her trek was random as she cooled her systems down after a training session with her mother not long before. Beyond the training though... today was a pretty lazy day. No big plans, no significant events in mind. Just wander about, perhaps go visit Jaci and Amaris... maybe see if Beatrice was up for a match. Her father was out doing whatever it was he did, and Fearthainn was equally occupied elsewhere.
Ho-hum~ well, at least she could count on taking it easy that day, was her thought as she entered the clearing, head lifting to gaze mindlessly up at the open sky. "Maybe I'll catch up on my sleep or something..."

Renesme always found it amazing that Rune cared so much about her wellbeing, and as he looked at her and smiled she felt herself melting. There was something about him that just stole her heart and gave her a strength she didn’t know ever existed. "Don’t worry; I can keep flying for a little longer... I want to find someone to talk to before we settle down." It was true that she could go a little further before her wings gave way. They where a little tired and it was getting harder and harder to find the energy to keep herself floating upon the air- she imagined that she looked less than graceful at the moment.
It didn’t take long for her eyes start to drift to the ground, darting between the trees and the open fields looking for movement. Eventually her eyes spotted a peach coloured figure walking into the open field. Excited at the prospect of finding someone to talk to she bumped into Rune and laughed before talking, her voice stumbling quickly out of her mouth. "LOOK! There-is-someone-down-there!" Some of the words seemed to merge into one and she only hoped that Rune knew what she meant. Her smile stole the corner of her lips and her heart began racing, she was excited at the idea of meeting her Mum but at the same time she was nervous- a thousand questions still twirled and whirled within her mind and she wondered if she would ever have the courage to ask any of them?
Taking a deep heavy breath she started to descend to the ground, her fragile small wings feeling happy at the relief that was bound to come as soon as she was firmly on the ground once more. "Come on Rune!" She called, turning her head to look at him again- she needed him with her now. Needed to feel his strong aura wrapping her in a safety net. After all it was possible they would be walking into a dead end.
Finally back on the ground she let out a deep and heavy breath, her lungs happy for new intake of breath- the hair high up was always a little too thin for her- her wings started to ache. Ruffling them slightly she pulled them close to her side, the little wings on her rump wiggled and fanned her with a nice cooling breeze. Waiting for Rune to join her she looked towards the figure in beach and noted that it looked likely that it was a mare, "I think we should ask her about Bella?!"
