Keshet was out heading towards town from Blue's cabin. He was taking a shortcut through the woods, making noises about the mud and gunk, to help cut down time. He had just reached the road and picked up the pace when he fell flat on his face in some mud. "Gross! Now look at me! I can't go out like this!" He wailed sitting up.

"La de da de da de duuuuum~! I have a lollipop and you have noooone~!" Lizzie skipped excitedly down the road with her lollipop clutched tightly in her paw. It had taken her all day to bribe the human in the candy shop to let her have it for free and she was thoroughly enjoying it. She continued to hum her happy candy song and was about to take another lick of the delicious treat when she heard someone wail up ahead about not being able to go out. She continued skipping and found the source of the wailing: a giant rainbow swamp creature. She waved and laughed at him. "You know that you're sitting in mud right?"

Keshet looked up when a woman (of all the things to go wrong!) showed up. "Of course I know that!" He huffed standing up. Great. Now someone has seen him looking all messy and gross...... and it was a woman at that! He began wiping the mud off, unsuccessfully, and hoped she'd go away.

"Males..." Lizzie rolled her eyes and walked over to him. She knelt down carefully in front of him, careful not to get her tights or skirt dirty and poked him. "If you know that you're sitting in mud, stand up and stop whining. It's not that bad anyway." She licked her lollipop and flashed him a smile.

Keshet froze as the woman came towards him instead of away. He was in the middle of bending over to wipe the mud off his legs when she poked him. His eyes grew wide and one of them twitch. He began breathing quickly and pulled in a deep breath. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He screamed leaping back. A female had touched him.... one of the ones he feared..... oh my god oh my god oh my god! A female touched me!!!!!!!!!!!! Was what he thought.

Lizzie jumped at the sound of his scream and wobbled on her feet. She put her paws down to steady herself on the ground and grimaced at the texture of the mud against her paws. Once she was certain she wouldn't fall, she hopped up to her full height and glared at the idiot rainbow.
"What the hell is your problem?!" She went to pop her lollipop back into her mouth but realized her hand was empty. Looking down where she had put her hands, she found it sticking out of the mud. "My lollipop...." She looked back at him and started to poke him repeatedly. "Look what you made me do you spazmatic lucky charm! "

Keshet was shaking when Lizzie yelled at him and came to poke him some more. He ended up huddling on the ground covering his head with his arms. "Stop touching me!!!!! Go away!" He cried trying to not lose it altogether. He noticed the lollipop on the ground and focused on that.... maybe that'd help not make him go insane. But it was too late. He had too much exposure to his greatest fear, woman. "Eeeeewwwww! A girl's touching me! Gross!!!!!" He cried not really saying things he was thinking.

"Fine, fine! I'll stop touching you but you better buy me another lollipop! It took me forever just to get that one and it was the right flavor and everything." She took a few steps back from him and began to pace back and forth. He sure was lucky that she didn't have her hatchet with her or she would have shut him up a looong time ago. "You can stop freaking out now! I'm no where near you..."
Having stolen his human's new ipod, Hitachi strolled down the forest path that led to town with the music blaring. It blocked out the world around him completely well... almost. Someone wailing drowned out his music and he pulled the earbud out and frowned. Oh great... what's going on now? He sped up and was able to make out a few voices. Was that Lizzie? But who was with her? He continued and slid to a halt when he reached them and saw who she was talking to.
"Oh no..."
Having stolen his human's new ipod, Hitachi strolled down the forest path that led to town with the music blaring. It blocked out the world around him completely well... almost. Someone wailing drowned out his music and he pulled the earbud out and frowned. Oh great... what's going on now? He sped up and was able to make out a few voices. Was that Lizzie? But who was with her? He continued and slid to a halt when he reached them and saw who she was talking to.

Keshet gingerly uncovered his head and looked up at Lizzie. It was a glare he was giving her but fear could be clearly seen in his eyes. "Fine! I'll get you a new one! It's all your fault anyways!" He said slowly standing up and making sure she wasn't near him. His ears perked up when he heard someone say oh no. That voice! It was so familiar! In fact it sounded like his beloved Hitachi. He turned to see just his man standing there. Quickly dashing over to him he grabbed Hitachi and clung to him. "Oh my love! This horrible woman has been picking on me! She kept touching me!" He said before throwing himself off, "Oh no! Look at what I've done! I've gotten you all muddy!" It was then he realized that Hitachi was seeing him all dirty and gross. His eyes grew big and filled with tears. "Oh my god! I'm a complete mess and you're looking at me!" He wailed covering his eyes.

Before he had a chance to even think he could escape, Hitachi found himself engulfed in a hug. He tried to listen to his yammering but it was hard to fight him off and listen at the same time.
"Oy! Let go before we both end up looking like some bloody monsters from a b-movie." He let out a sigh of relief when he was released but it was a short lived as he glanced down at his clothes and groaned. He noticed "Oy skittle calm it down. 'ere..." His red shirt was already messed up. He pulled it off and held it out. "Clean up yourself..."
Lizzie watched the exchange before her and started to giggle. By the time Hitachi had offered him his shirt, she was laughing hysterically.

Keshet was full out hiding his face, completely ashamed of his appearance. How could he have let Hitachi see him like this?! Uncovering his face for a second to see what Hitachi was offering he began sobbing again at the sight of the shirt. "B-b-but it's your shirt! I can't use that!" He wailed. He paused to shoot at glare at Lizzie but it soften a little at her saying this was cute. He had mistaken it as she thought they looked cute together.

"I don't care. Look, it's ruin anyhow. Just use the bloody shirt and cheer up already." Hitachi pushed it to him and shot Lizzie a glare. "Shut up you. 'e wouldn't be all weepy if you 'adn't messed with 'im." Why he was defending the male he had absolutely no idea but he did have to reprimand Lizzie. He was friends with her after all and he knew how bad she could get at times.
"Yeah, I'm getting that impression." She looked at Keshet and tilted her head. "Do you always lose control around women? You know, you have nothing to worry about... I don't see you as attractive or anything if that's what you're worried about." She offered, playing with the hem of her skirt. "I am kind of sorry for poking you.... I guess..."

Keshet took the shirt while sniffling. He began wiping up the mud and when his arms were clean he used them to wipe his face. He smiled at Hitachi and gave a sad laugh. "Always knew that you cared." He said moving to hide behind Hitachi, "Women are scary..... They've always tortured me.... and made fun of me." His eyes filled with tears again as he thought of his past encounters.

Glad that he had prevented anymore wailing and crying, Hitachi watched Keshet clean himself and he heard what he said as he went to hide behind him. Hitachi shook his head and flicked his tail.
"Yeah, whatever..." He mumbled as he turned to look at him and tilted his head as Lizzie had done earlier. He was strangely curious about him for the first time since they had met but he pushed his curiosity aside as he saw the beginning of tears and quickly tried to stop them.
"She's not all that bad She won't 'urt you ." He turned to Lizzie and mouthed 'help me out here...'
Lizzie frowned at the mention of women being scary and she was about to yell at him again and inform him that it is men who are the scary ones when she smelled the beginning of his tears. Fear usually delighted her but now that her friend was shooting her dark looks for making his friend upset. She took a deep breath and gave Keshet a smile.
"He's right you know. I mean, I occasionally have to punch a few people now and then and maybe swing my axe but that's about it. I'm not scary at all."

Keshet's eyes grew big and wide at what Lizzie said. "T-t-that's even scarier!" He yelped hiding completely behind Hitachi. It was as scary as those women. The ones who had put the fear into him in the first place.

Lizzie threw her arms in the air and shook her head.
"I give up. I'm going back to town... you can keep your drama queen over there Hitachi. He's annoying." She spun on her heels and tossed her hair over her shoulder. "So long~!"
She trotted off, humming happily to herself and plotted another way to get another lollipop...
He shook his head after her and wondered why he was ever friends with her in the first place. She could be so annoying at times. Taking a deep breath, he turned to face Keshet again.
"You can top 'idin'. She's gone now." He said as he poked his shoulder. "It's weird seein' you like this... not all happy and skittle-y like."

"Good! Go far far away!" Keshet shouted at Lizzie as he remembered getting her a lollipop, "Oh! Just tell the candy store guy that the lollipop is from me! He'll give it to you!" Once she was gone he stepped out from behind Hitachi. "I'm so sorry you had to see me like that. All muddy and scared of a woman." He said sighing, "I can't help it. I'm deathly afraid of them since..... since......" He trailed off and shook his head. He still couldn't tell anyone about them.

"All that over a piece of candy?" He glanced down at the mud and noticed the lollipop. It did look pretty good but to start a fight like that over it did seem rather childish. When the rainbow male paused, he glanced at him and allowed his curiosity to get the better of him. "Since when...?" He asked slowly, unsure of whether he was over stepping his boundaries.

Keshet chuckled a little and nodded. "Yeah kinda." He said. When he was asked since when he almost began to cry again. He shook his head to stop it though. "I can't talk about it..... not now anyways." He said smiling sadly at Hitachi, "I'll tell you when I'm ready though."

Hitachi nodded understandingly and realized he probably shouldn't have asked anyway.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't 'ave asked anyhow." He stared at the sad smile Keshet was giving him and he frowned. He ran his claws through his hair and shook his head. He needed to cheer him up somehow. "Where were you 'eaded before Liz girl found ya?"

Keshet shook his head. "I'm just not..... emotionally ready, as my owner likes to call it, to talk about it." He said giving another sad laugh, "To town. But I'm still a mess. I can't be seen going to town like this." He sighed and looked up at Hitachi. "Isn't this the part where you run away from me?" His sad smile was back since he knew that Hitachi didn't love him or really cared for him. "Don't have to stay on my account."

Hitachi could understand not being emotionally ready to talk about something traumatic. He lived with enough wolves to know that not all of them came from happy families or experienced a life full of rainbows and butterflies. What he couldn't understand was why Keshet thought he was going to run away.
"I...." He frowned and shook his head. "I won't leave you. You're annoyin' yeah and you confuse me but I do care 'bout you, you know. I'm not going to leave you 'ere a complete mess in this weather." He winked at him and looked back down the forest path he had just walked. "Let's go find somewhere you can clean up then..."

Keshet looked up at Hitachi with hope glistening in his eyes. "You care about me?" He asked, "And you'll stay with me?" He smiled and tried not to cry of happiness. However he wasn't able to stop himself from hugging Hitachi. "You're so nice! That's why I like you!"

This time around he was prepared for the hug and made sure to keep them both from falling into the mud. He lost one shirt and he certainly wasn't losing another or anymore articles of clothing at the moment.
"Yeah, yeah..." He returned the hug slightly with one arm before stepping away. "Now 'urry up. It's cold out 'ere!"

Keshet smiled up at Hitachi when he hugged back. "Alright! Let's go!" He said letting go, "Um.... where are we going? The only places I know out this way is the mansion or my owner's cabin."
