Santa. The big man in red. He flies around the world giving gifts to children every December 25th. God. The big man. On the same December 25th, he gave the religious a gift, one Jesus.
Giving gifts upon the 25th of December goes to both. Giving them to children..... Well, Santa certainly does. And seeing the many quotes from religious things calling those who are to get into heaven children...... Likewise. The big man. The big man. Yes. And then the big beginning. "Santa doesn't exist." They say that a figure that is very similar to that god doesn't exist. ninja The gifts, though, do exist. As the gift Jesus apparently did. But the giver of these gifts seem to not exist......

Actually they've proven that the star formations that were described in the Bible when Jesus was supposedly born, actually happened in June. The popular theory is one that is very credible was that the reason that Christmas was put on that time area was that the Christians "stole" pagan holidays, in this case the winter solstice.

Strangely enough I was thinking this very thing yesterday. Damn Christians. Damn the Romans too.

My previous post came from a mixture of History channel, Wikipedia, and some research I did for a project on none other than the guy I put my user name after, SolInvictus. But I will definitely see that movie now.

The church just thought it would be nice is the birthday of jesus falls upon some other day of religious significance as well. Also no the state of santa depends on location. in some area in the south santa wears green and has a sleigh of crocodiles. Also according to their legend he came down the chimney and burnt himself on the fire then after leaving the gifts said he would make the same mistake and used the front door like a normal person. >_>

Also according to their legend he came down the chimney and burnt himself on the fire then after leaving the gifts said he would make the same mistake and used the front door like a normal person. >_> That's more because chimneys don't exist everywhere that the Santa Claus myth does. xd The myth is just as silly and nonsensical and random as any other. I love mythology though and I love free presents and a story to explain them, so yay, Santa Claus! biggrin And it's my opinion that if you're going to discuss stuff, do it right. Research the topic you're talking about through actual, credible information and not The Da Vinci Code or something silly. Dan Brown is a master of misinterpreting symbolism or retelling Christianity in order to make it favor paganism or scientific progress or whatever. Everyone should know that bias is just just reinterpreting information in order to make people see your side... it's also leaving out vital information or just plain lying. Christianity didn't "steal" things per se. Christianity was (and still is) a religion that borrows concepts, evolves, twists back on itself, and is so deeply rooted in so much stuff that oftentimes we can't tell what is what anymore. Apparently halos were part of a sun worship religion that was assimilated into Christianity, but who really knows that? Just because it was first doesn't mean Christianity was wrong or that they "stole" it. Anyway, I'm English-major-in-training, so please excuse my snobbiness in regards to research, bias, and Dan Brown.
