- Rhian Rhian had sent that invitation off a few days ago and had yet to see any sign of her oldest sibling coming to pay a visit. Still, she sat on the front porch, Contessa in her lap and hopingshe'd spot the rabbit-like Essentic coming up to the cottage soon. Ellandra was in the nursery taking care of the babies, and Rhian was half-keeping an ear out for any help requests coming from her Mama. She was just thankful she was released from the near-constant studying she had been forced into doing for more than a week now.

Rhian's letter had lain around for a while in the office, being so easily overlooked amidst all the other correspondency, but eventually, at last, Banning had worked down to the stack bottom, and given it to Misha. Essentic or not, basic privacy laws were to be respected. Not that it could do any harm, not with it coming from their affiliates.
It had made the rabbit's day, oh yes.
So there he was, eagerly making his way to the backtraced origin of the most heartwarming message he'd gotten in his entire life. Hooray for getting days off! Even if it was under the guise of job-related socialising, if that's what the official records would say, so be it. He knew he was here to see his little sister, nothing less. He was certain there was a lot to catch up to, on both sides.
Holding back his speed, to avoid attracting unneccessary glances, he covered the last distance, lookin around with usual wonder about the surroundings, until at least he arrived where he needed to be. Then it all faded from view, from the mind insantly.
Long ears giving an expectant wibble under his hat, shifting on his heels and toes, Misha gathered his nerves and approached Rhian sitting there, taking note of her canine companion. Oho, what do we have here? Ah, no matter for now. With a warm-welcoming smile, he waved his hand at her loosely in greeting.
"I made it, sister. Sorry for making you wait." <3

Rhian looked up from where she was thoughtfully petting Contessa's ears and saw Misha standing there waving at her. Big blue eyes widened with happy surprise, and the puppy was unceremoniously pushed out of Rhian's lap as the flutterby leapt to her feet and stumble-ran over to Misha, tackling the bunny in an excited hug. "Misha-fluffy! Misha-fluffy! You came, you came! I missed you! You've been gone a long time, the babies are here and we have a big house and I grew and Lauss-teacher's my boyfriend and and you've missed so muuuuuuuch!"
An amused laugh echoed from the doorway as Ellandra stepped outside, a baby in each arm. "Rhian, flutterby, don't suffocate Misha just because you haven't seen him for a while. Hello Misha, how have you been, sweetheart?"

Eyes widening slightly, jaw falling a little in a surprised smile, Misha caught her when she barrelled into him, wrapping his arms around her and giving her a nice warm brother-cuddle. Hmmm, it's been ages since he'd done that, and then she was just a small soppy-wet cold flutterthing... She'd grown so much.
Letting her finish her greeting-rush amiably, he quietly petted her hair, noting how cute she looked now. Yup, he'd always known she'd grow into something that'd soothe the eyes the moment one asmuch as glanced at her.
"You look amazing..." he murred softly, happily, not at all sounding like your regular flirt-seeker at all. He meant it with all his heart. So much, so much to talk about, it was hard to grasp, really.
When Ellandra came out of the house and spoke to him, he lifted his head to look at her, a glimmer of that old fondness returning immediately. Hi there, big sister Ella. My, my.... you've really come far, haven't you. Admirable.
"Busy?" he grinned slightly. He could always answer that, but she wasn't asking for that, now was she. "Things have changed for me, too. Quite a lot, to me, but I doubt it's been anything like the way you've travelled."

Rhian giggled and blushed at Misha's compliment, though her expression turned sad and her antennae's glow dimmed as she thought about Lauss-teacher and how she wanted to see him again, and hear him say something like that. . . she missed him so much. . . she didn't even know what he'd been doing, if he'd made new friends. . . met someone who was more special than her. . . Blue eyes brimmed with tears and Rhian scrubbed at them, trying to block them away. This was a visit witgh Misha-fluffy, she needed to be happy and have fun!
Even though it was. . . . kinda hard when she kept thinking of Lauss-teacher.
Ellandra smiled at Misha, noting Rhian's distress but having the feeling Misha would probably notice and talk to Rhian about it too, decided to just let that be. Besides, she had her arms full at the moment - quite literally - and couldn't really do much physically to help her. Instead, she came down the steps, babies in her arms, and walked over to Misha. "I'm sure quite a lot has changed for all of us since we last saw each other, she said, somewhat thoughtfully, recalling all that had changed in her own life, and wondering what had gone on with Misha.

Ah, indeed the messenger noticed his little sister's mood suddenly plummetting, like a heavy mass of clouds packing together over a clear sky. Hm, this front of heaviness must've been in the air for a while to set up so swiftly...
A little unsure of how to react to this, Misha softly patted her hair again, gently cuddled her close, just a little. Shhh... it's alright, whatever is wrong.
"What's the matter Rhian...?" he asked her quietly, genuinely interested in finding out what was bothering her. Maybe he could help out? Gawh, he really didn't like seeing his sibling in such anguish. Shushhh.... You can tell me...
He looked up briefly from trying to comfort Rhian when Ellandra approached, and nodded, almost with a solemn expression. Yes, a lot, a whole lot has happened. "Your family exploded." he blurted out after a moment, as overwhelmed by the sudden presence of more new people as he made it sound. "Are you alright?" He'd also heard little children can be really, really exhausting to look after... Probably much harder than kittens.
If harder than Elst, he wasn't sure of though. Might be worth pondering.

Rhian smiled at Misha, letting her sadness evaporate a bit, at least for this visit. "Just a little sad today, I'll get better," she said, then started up, antennae flicking into the air.
"Oh no! I forgot, I have to go pick up something from the seamstress!" The butterfly chirped, and dashed off without another word to Misha or her Mama. What had she needed to pick up? Little outfits for the puppies she'd begged to get her Mama to have made, to which Ellandra had (reluctantly) agreed.
Ellandra watched Rhian run off and then shrugged a bit and smiled at Misha. "We're doing all right, Misha," she said softly. "Would you like to meet Bel and Sam?"

Wait, wha-? Oh. Sure thing. Err...
At Rhian's sudden departure, Misha was left looking rather bemused. Talk about a stormy hello, and a stormy see-you-later. Settle down, girl, honestly xD
At least a distraction came right away, and Misha quite gladly bounced over to Ellandra. "Meet who?" ... think that over Mish, think that over.
"Oh. OH! Of course I would! If I won't... scare them or wake them up or.. stuff..." Maybe they're allergic to rabbits? Oyoyoy, quit the frettin' already. The only young child he'd met so far was little Sera, and while that had gone perfectly well, he was still a little nervous about this whole 'baby'-thing. Teensy little humans, how fragile those must be.

"You won't bother them, Misha," Ellandra said gently. "They're both awake, and I think they'd like very much to meet you." As if to echo her mother's claim, little Bel reached out with a flailing fist, trying to get at the big grey thing that was hanging so near yet just out of her reach. If she could just grab it . . .

"Okay..." Nose wibbling cautiously, Misha leaned over just slightly to take a closer look at that tiny miracle, caramel eyes attentive. Mere seconds later he was producing soft little noises that no onomatopeia could ever do justice.
Various variations on 'ee' were a red line in it though, so soft-pitched it was a miracle he was even audible at all. "She looks so much like yoouuuu~" and he looks so much like Fao tooo~
Oh lookie lookie what do you want from me now there with that.... eeee tiny hand. Oh, this? Ooooh right.
More or less aware he was probably making a grave mistake there, Misha flicked his ear up a little and let her touch the fur. Let's just assume he has no idea of the grabby-prowess the little one possessed, but he was happy to take the risk. Not like she could rip his ear off or something...
Daring to let his attention drift from his precious sensitive appendage, he then focused his attention on Sam quietly. Pyeeeee hi there....

"Aaah, Misha, I wouldn't - " Too late. The fist of doom had closed and would not release for anything. Ellandra frowned and tried to coax the little fist open, but it wasn't relinquishing its hold any time soon. Bel had found something velvety soft and fluffy, and she liked how it felt. At least she wasn't tugging right now.

"Was that a bad idea?" he peeked up at Ella, wondering if he should be worried now. Sure, that was -some- tough grip there, but he could easily give her some slack there. Not even Bel could crack cartilage with one hand.
"Awww let her..." don't take away playthings from little things, that's sad ;3;

Ellandra shrugged, rocking the babies a little bit. "As long as you don't mind her keeping your ear forever, I suppose not," she said with a smile, then blinked as Rhian came back, her arms full of costumes.
"Oh, Misha-fluffy! You're meeting the babies! Aren't they cute? Bel likes soft things, and Sam likes nice noises, and they both seem really happy to meet you!"
