Kyou walked along the grass, his hands in his pockets and his general grouchy expression on his face, though slightly softer than normal. He had soften out since he started going out with Minagi, though it was difficult for other cats to notice it. To other cats he was still a grumpy cat and s bit of a bad a**. He had a good reputation around these parts, which was exactly what he wanted, even if he had to pick a fight or two to keep in.

As he walked along he noticed a little while kitten. She seemed to be attempting to prevent herself getting dirty. Kyou sniggered slightly as he watched her. Funny little thing.

Kyou stopped instantlly as he saw the white kitten suddenly freaked out when she saw him. He watched her with an almost horrified expression. He didn't know what to do or what he had even done to make the kitten react as she did but he attempted to soften his features and put on a non threatening voice, with difficulty, and bent down slightly, looking the kitten straight in the eyes. "Woah woah relax. I have no intention of hurting you. Seriously...please calm down. I would never hurt a kit. Why are you freaking out so much?" he asked her, his cold eyes worried.

Kyou watched the kitten carefully as she seemed to snap out of her daze. He wasn't sure what had happened or if she was okay. Kyou wasn't very good with kittens. He was an awkward type of animal who found it difficult to talk to kittens as anything other than adults. All the same he still liked them anyway. "You alright?" he asked her, his voice slightly concerned. Ah bad memories eh? His own past would often haunt him, waking him up in a cold sweat. If Minagi wasn't beside him he wouldn't know what to do with himself a lot of the time. He shrugged when she apologised. "Not your fault. I've seen much worse then that little display in my time. I'm Kyou Beni." he said, sitting down when he had honkered down to make sure she was okay. "What're you doing around these parts?" he asked him, flicking his tail awkwardly, attempting to keep his features softer than they normally were. Being nice was a hard job.

Kyou sighed, looking down at the kitten. "Sorry kid. I never really know what to do around kits. Theres nothing I can do about it. I guess it's in my nature." he said, thinking to himself. Ever since he had gotten in a relationship with his love Minago he had started to think of his lack of ability to understand kittens a problem. Of course the two were nowhere near the idea of actually having kittens. After all they had only started dating. All the same Kyou couldn't help but feel this was a horrid flaw in his personality, much like the rest of him, he thought. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that kit." he said quietly. "No kit should have to go through something unpleasent at such an early age." he added. Kyou thought, looking down at the kit. "What do you want to learn? How to take care of yourself? Like how to fight?" he asked her. It was about this age that Kyou first learned how to fight out of nessesity.

Kyou listened to the little white kitten speaking with an amused expression. She seemed to have spunk which he like. It had been years since he had trained anyone and he had never trained a cat so young before but there was always a first time for everything. "Well you may eventually have to get dirty, that comes with a part of fighting but I think we should start slow anyway. Lets go into the building there. I think it's abandoned because my...mate uses it as a shelter from time to time. It's slightly dusty but it would be much cleaner then out here. So will we try training in there then?" he said with a grin as he started to move towards the building with a smirk. He could see a glint of something in the kittens eye and he had to admit he liked it.
