User Image Fleance had no idea of how long it had been since he roamed the vast and mighty plains of Africa, nor could he recall if he'd ever been in this region. Getting reacquainted to living was a long and arduous process, even though he was now physically in adulthood. He stared into the sun, it wasn't at its height, but it still shone down brightly onto the scorched and baked lands, as though Fleance wasn't the only one leaving ashes in his wake. His eyes closed, wincing, and... He sneezed. Ashes scattered themselves, blackened and like soot before him. Maybe it was the sun, maybe it was the sneeze, or maybe the jamais vu, but his head was sore and ooohhh how it ached.

The god made his way slowly and drudgingly to a lone tree, a thorny acacia that offered little shade, and he flopped himself down, scattering ashes formed on impact, until his side was blackened. He raised his head, and scooted around to find the optimal use of the tree, while being careful not to touch it. When satisfied, he sighed heavily, only serving to stir up more ashes that caused him to sneeze. A gentler sigh now, he rested, though far too wary to fall asleep.

(WORDY WORDY WORDY, sorry.)

It had been one of those days where Jamala had been alone - his daughter taking off for her own misadventures, the sun high in the sky still, keeping him in tune with the time. Never had he lost his daughter, for fear of becoming alone, ever since misplacing his mate, he worried endlessly that one day she, too, would not be by his side.

All this worry had the old God taking a long flight down the plains, his tricoloured wings beating restlessly in the air, the wind flowing through his fur, rattling his jewelry together and making music as he danced through the sky. Pure bliss. After a few minutes, a new vision had broken the bright shades that littered the mighty ground below him - a dark patch that kicked up and danced with the wind as it danced by, intreguing the virtuous god slightly so.

Banking towards the ground, he took a few wide turns before his mighty paws hit the ground, thundering down as slowed from a gallop to a slow trot, his mismatched eyes glancing down at what had caught his attention. Sniffing softly at the ground, part of the dark particles got trapped in his nose, creating one hell of a sneeze. He knew was this was.

Ashes. It was rare that he saw ash, especially in such a remote spot in the plains, without someone leaving it here. Lifting his head, he rumbled deep within his throat, looking for whatever had left this trail here. Following the stained trail, he came upon the smaller god, his eyebrows shooting to the sky, before attempting to gather up some form of conversation, to make sure he was still alive.

"Seems like a strange spot to give up wandering. . . Are you alright?" He attempted, uncertain what to say, at first.

Fleance had been too drowsy and near-sleep to notice the circling god. But he heard the sneeze. His head whipped around at breakneck speed and he looked out with wide, red eyes. Standing before him was a fellow god... But bigger, blacker, and probably better. His ears flicked back warily, but forward again to catch the god's question.

The adolescent fidgeted where he lay. He was rather uneasy around all sorts of gods, even mortals too. He was just so meek and timid. He opened his mouth to answer but closed it again. He'd have felt much better if Pele or Ezriel were around... Especially Ezriel. The god of rebellion could probably handle anyone. But going by appearance alone and getting over the initial shock of divine company, Fleance stood and bobbed his head in a respectful greeting.

"Oh yes, uhm, I'm fine, really. It's just been a while since I've been to the mortal world, you see..." He grinned sheepishly. "I'm still really quite young in this life... I'm sure you can tell."

Well, there was no denying that the divine creature in front of him was alive now, hearing the sharp intakes of air that he took as he breathed, and the fidgetting that came from him as Jamala unknowingly impeded himself on him. Sitting down roughly where he stopped, he looked over the younger god with a sincere, uneven gaze, wondering what made the younger one so unnerved.

When the adolescent finally raised himself to greet him, Jamala kept his silence in toll, but nodded his head low respectfully back, jewelry clinking into the air, a soft song that drifted away before returning to silence. Ears swivelled forward at the whisps of conversation catching his attention, a soft smile breaking out on his face again.

"I can understand, it's been far too long since I stepped foot into the God's Haven, myself. I'm too much of a mortal world-body, now. I've spent most of my entire life, mingling with the mortals - but don't let this big body deceive you - I'm still very young at heart, myself." He retorted, happily. Jamala would never grow up - it was too boring and dull to stick to being serious. Sincerity and youth all the way, for him.

Lifting his head to look around, he hmm and hawed under his voice for a moment, before turning to the ashen god again. "Is there anywhere I could escort you too? Sometimes it's better to be in numbers."
